ICS Capital, LLC is a good company for collections. They helped me with my identity theft problem and were very helpful. They were able to get my money back and I am very grateful. They are very professional and I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with collections.

So, I got this debt that's like 7 years old and now it's on my credit report. I hit up ICS Capital, LLC and asked them for some proof that I actually owe this money, but they haven't given me anything yet. Like, what's the deal?

Got a letter from Lake City Credit, they're the big boss of ICS. They said I could pay $598.16 to settle my account. So I paid it all up on March 31. I got the letter and my bank statement to show I paid it.

I opened an account with Okinus, Inc on September 6. My last payment, as per my credit report, was on September 4, and the account showed a balance of 0, indicating that it was closed. However, according to my credit report, ICS Capital reopened this account under OKINUS on October 7th, with a balance of $6,708. This amount seems way too high for the furniture I purchased back then, and also, the account was already closed.

In October , I got an alert that my credit score went down by 20 points coz of a collections. I logged into the credit agency portal where I have a membership and disputed the debt. Two credit agencies removed the erroneous account coz there's a Police report and affidavit on file with all 3 credit agencies. But Equifax still reports this error: Per the credit report ICS/ Okinus claim they are the original creditors and per the application I requested to verify this fraudulent debt THEY ARE NOT. OKINUS/ ICS CAPITAL - $11,828.00 I asked to verify the debt and got mailed an application. The application was handwritten with what attempted to be my information. Several important pieces of said information is WRONG on the fraudulent application. Later, the OKINUS/ICS Capital account manager contacted me. I told him that this was a case of identity theft. He was very rude and matter of fact. He continued to tell me that my affidavit and police report would not get the account that I OWED removed. I corrected him and reiterated that the account he was referring to DID NOT BELONG TO ME AND WAS NEVER AUTHORIZED. The OKINUS rep continued to use harsh collection tactics and I was firm in telling him that THE CREDIT AGENCY had already passed the information on to him and he needed to follow all state and federal guidelines and remove this account. HE TOLD ME HE WOULD CONTINUE TO REPORT THE ACCOUNT AS LONG AS HE WANTED. In addition, according to the fraudulent application for whatever was received is dated more than seven years ago and has run the statue. IT IS FRAUD AND IT IS HAS RUN ITS STATUE OF LIMITATIONS.
