This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

After being scammed into spending over $8,000 for a year of advertising with Houzz I DID NOT RECEIVE ONE SINGLE JOB FROM HOUZZ. Sure, we would get "leads that were messaged to us through Houzz, but when we replied by email, we instantly get another charge from Houzz...then when we would call the phone number listed for the customer it would go straight to an automated voicemail...and again ANOTHER charge from Houzz. We did this multiple times thinking that we were the ones who were in the wrong, maybe we dialed the wrong number? Maybe the customer doesn't have their voicemail set up yet? After more than 5 different "leads" with the same outcome, i contacted customer support. the incredibly rude and demeaning woman on the phone told me that phone calls automatically go through Houzz and if we want the customers ACTUAL phone number, we need to "let them know, and they will change it on their end, so it goes directly to the customer". At this point I'm irritated and ask why I'm getting charged for phone calls and emails that aren't even going through...she repeated the same thing over and over again until I hung up out of frustration. She said, "Houzz is providing you with leads, if you have any concerns or problems regarding Houzz Pro Inc. please contact customer service." She could not give me a straight answer. Extremely frustrated at this point, I called my "Houzz representative" the man who "SOLD ME" on this "INCREDIBLE DEAL" who said to "contact him at any time for questions"(I believe his name was TIM NYUGEN or something like that) only to have him respond by saying he was only your representee but you have been assigned a "client success manager" who will help you with anything from her on.

Even more aggravated now I decided to just cancel my membership. I wanted nothing more to do with this fraudulent company.

i called the customer service line and the woman on the phone was very polite, telling me she would cancel, note it in the system of cancellation, that i would not receive another charge and contract was terminated.

i was so thrilled! Thinking okay, Houzz isn't that bad.

The next month i have a charge on my card from Houzz. I immediately send an email to customer service and my "client success manager" regarding the charge and demanding immediate termination of the processing charge/refund and to completely cancel my account immediately.

I received an email back from him asking a time to speak over the phone. (i am now realizing they want to talk over the phone so that there is no proof of what was said).

I set up a time and we spoke on the phone for over an hour. I was in tears at the end of the phone call because this man WOULD NOT CANCEL MY ACCOUNT. it's like he couldn't even hear what I was saying. I even asked to speak to a manager or supervisor at least 3 times and all he would say in return is some sales pitch on a lower price for x number of months. He completely disregarded anything that I had said, and robotically responded with discounts and promotions to continue service with them.

I cancelled my card that was on file with them and went onto my "Houzz Pro" account and cancelled there, I unsubscribed with them and deleted everything of "Houzz" relation that I had.

It has been almost 8 MONTHS LATER, and I received a letter in the mail from 'McCarthy, Burgess & Wolff' Collection Agency, saying I owe Houzz over $2,400.

Seriously?!

I contacted my old phone company to send my records of phone calls I made to Houzz when I wanted to cancel, as well as downloaded all emails I sent to Houzz. Unfortunately, since my Houzz Pro account has been cancelled, I can no longer access any emails I sent to them from that account. (how ironic).

Houzz is a fraudulent company. I started my small business and two months later they contacted me and scammed me out over $8000 that I didn't have as a new business and are trying to get even more. Absolutely not.

I feel violated, used, abused, taken advantage of, stupid and just plain disrespected.

I will be filing a lawsuit against Houzz. Preferably a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT. I have already messaged the other VICTIMS on this site and will go to every other site I can find to get all the people Houzz screwed over, their moneyback.

Don't give into this scam. DO NOT let this awful company take away from you trying to live your dream and make a living.

Please comment if interested in pursuing to get our businesses and money back.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, hoping others will join to take backs what's ours.

Desired outcome: ALL OF MY MONEY BACK, PLUS.Lawsuit against Houzz.
