I'm super happy with this company. I was searching for someone to build a shed that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg and wouldn't take forever to get done. *** came over, gave me a price, grabbed the stuff for me, and brought his kid to start the job right away. I was blown away. I'd totally suggest them to anyone.

Jerome was awesome. I hit him up on the website and he hit me back fast. He came out the next day to peep my project (fixing up a bench on our deck) and got it done that same day. When he found out I was a teacher, he said he'd do the job without charging for labor. He was super pro and cool with my 3-year-old who was all up in his business asking about his tools. I can't say enough good things about Ground Breaking.

Jerome *** from Ground Breaking Remodeling was hired to fix up a place. He seemed like a nice guy and talked about his faith, but that didn't mean he was honest or responsible. The job was supposed to take 6 weeks, starting on April 12. It involved redoing the kitchen (counters and granite), changing the bathroom vanities, updating the plumbing and electricity, putting in new tile, getting rid of carpet, painting, fixing the roof and ceilings, cleaning the fireplaces, replacing lights, taking out a drop ceiling, power washing the outside, and painting the basement floor. Mr. was supposed to get permits for the work, but he never did. He and his crew didn't prepare the walls before painting, so you could see all the bumps. When he messed up the kitchen cabinets, he told me to buy new ones. But then he broke the new cabinets and the granite counters. Instead of fixing a leak, they just painted over it. The tile in the kitchen was crooked and not attached right. He said a plumbing thing would last a few years, but I had to get someone else to replace it. There were lots of other things he didn't do right or didn't do at all. I told him about the problems, but he just said it wasn't done yet. I was worried that he was just making it look good on the outside, but it would fall apart later. Near the end, he said I was being too picky. On June 17, he quit after only doing about 20% of the work (and doing most of it wrong). He got almost $30,000, which was most of the money for the job. I asked him to fix it or give some money back, but he said no. I'm writing this so other people will know what to expect from Jerome *** and Ground Breaking Remodeling.

I hired Ground Breaking Home Remodeling to repair door trim, reset bottom kitchen cabinets, install back splash in kitchen, add transition strip to laminate etc. Mr McCoy the owner was paid 3000 on 6/21/23 and the remaining 2200 on 6/30/23 without completing work, poor workmanship. I am now suing him for failure to correct poor workmanship as I req.

So, we paid Ground Breaking Remodeling and Construction a good chunk of change for a deck back in October. We wrote a check for $4397.00 and it went through without a hitch. We even have a contract and everything. But, get this, all they've done is buy some wood and drop it off. That's it. We've tried to get in touch with them a bunch of times, but they keep dodging us. It's been months and still no progress on the deck. What gives?

I hired Ground Breaking Remodeling and Construction to refinish my wood floors and lay tile in my kitchen and dining room. The initial bid from *** was $2500 for 800sqft of wood floors and $1500 for 265sqft of tile. His wife *** picked up a $1500 deposit check from us and we received 10 confirmation calls that day. I sent him pictures of all the floors and he had us buy materials totaling $1,020.94.

Reggie, ***'s brother, started the wood refinishing on September 10th. We had changed plans with *** to only do 2 of the 3 rooms and asked that the price reflect the actual sqft. He said no. On September 11th, they began laying tile and an argument over sqft started. He told us he wasn't doing the dining room and only doing 173sqft of tile while expecting us to pay for 265sqft. Eventually, we agreed to pay more and the tile was almost done.

However, an hour later, he called to say he would not complete the project and was leaving it as is. He even threatened to put a lien on our home. He ripped up all the tile and damaged our property. I do not recommend this company.
