Griffin Services arrived at my 1000 sq ft condo upon my call that my AC unit was not working. The technician showed up in flip flops and looked at the unit for about 60 seconds and asked me for the serial number which was clearly marked on the front that I had already written down, demonstrating his complete incompetence.

Proceeded to then tell me the repair was going tbe $2500 and would take 2 weeks and pressed me to replace the unit for $7000 to $10,000! Yes, $10,000 for basically a1000 sq ft apartment AC unit!

I had a second company come out and it was a $16 part (capacitor), and performed the repair on the spot and it cost $200.

This company is DESPICABLE and outright stealing and gauging people! They have 10 complaints with BBB and 13 horrible reviews in the 24 months.

All their Google reviews are fake and auto generated.

I fear for the elderly who are being bamboozled for $10,000 in this extreme heat in July in Florida out of desperation or just don't knowing better. This company should be shut down! They are probably financing people and placing liens on people's properties. It's horrifying!

I'm real happy with Griffin Service. All them folks is real professional and nice to work with. *** is especially great. He's real good at his job, friendly, and just a joy to have over to my place to do the work. He's a real good problem solver. He had to come back to finish putting in a toilet and he was real dependable with following up. I'd tell anyone to use this company.

I had a bad experience with Griffin Service. They charged me for a part that I didn't need after 5 hours. The tech didn't even check the freon level. The next day, my A/C still wasn't cooling. I called *** and they came out to check the freon level, which was completely out. I've called 3 times over 2 weeks for a refund, but they promised a manager would call me back and I still haven't heard from anyone. Is this how you treat a customer who's upset? Come on, ***, do better! I'm still waiting for a call and a refund.

Griffin Service is the bomb! They take care of my crib and rental spots. When the AC or plumbing goes down in Florida, it's like a state of emergency. But Griffin always comes through like a boss, even when it's a total pain in the butt. They got a plan to keep my AC running like a champ all summer long, and their techs and peeps are always on point, polite and pro. I trust them with my life, and they deserve a 5-star rating, no doubt!

This service is the worst ever. They quoted me $13,500 to replace ducting work in my mobile home, but then got it down to 8K and then 7K later that day. Their tech came out 2 days later to measure and said they couldn't do the ducting in the walls. I said that's fine and asked for a price for just underneath the house. But I never heard from them. I've called 5 days in a row and no response from the person they said would call me. They charged me $199 to come out and didn't tell me until they got there. Is this how you do business? You ignore people who need your service? I want a refund immediately and I'll tell everyone I know how horrible they are. They gouge and never respond for service. I needed this done immediately and now it's been 10 days and I'm still trying to find someone to fix it.

Griffin Service did my AC system but had to get a permit from the City. The City Building inspector failed the permit because the drain from the condenser was on concrete instead of grass, the barricades were flimsy, the duct work wasn't sealed, the return supply was in the master bedroom, and the air handling unit wasn't in the right work area. Shane, the office manager, argued with me about paying the extra cost to fix the issues in the city code. They didn't come out to fix the problems. I wouldn't recommend them because they don't follow the city codes. They tried to hide the extra ducting I asked for from the permit process. They argued with me about the electrical permit for the AC unit. I had to talk to the City and other contractors to figure out that I didn't need an electrical permit. Griffin didn't help me with this. No stars.

Griffin Service came and put in a new water heater for me and they were real nice about it. The lady on the phone, *** I think, helped me get financing and set up the appointment. She was real polite and explained everything to me. On the day of the install, *** and his buddy came on time and called me to let me know they were almost there. They told me what was going to happen and then I went back to work. It took them about 4 hours to take out the old water heater and put in the new one. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They showed me how to use the new water heater and were real nice the whole time. Last night I tried it out and it worked great! I hope it saves me some money on my energy bill like they said it would. I'm happy with Griffin's work and I'm going to have them come back for some other stuff I need done. They're good people to work with.

I had this company put in a new hot water heater and then called them back to put in a new bladder tank for a lot of money. One year later, the same problem (water pressure and now complete shut off) that they supposedly fixed is now worse than before. They replaced a bunch of things that apparently didn't need to be replaced. It was just a blocked water line from my pump's pressure valve. After calling them back a few days ago and explaining the issues, the "tech" was scheduled to come out on a Wednesday. I got his picture texted to me, my wife got a call saying he was on his way, we kept someone home to meet him, but he never showed up. Then we called again the next day and he was sent out with a trainee. I was told I would be billed a lot of money for the service call, but that would be deducted from any needed repairs. He was at my home for just over an hour. We have no idea what he actually did other than turn on and off the water in the sink. He cut the line between the pump and pressure gauge and left it on the ground. This now leaks. He then told my wife it would cost twice what I was told. When I learned of this that night after coming home from work, I called immediately well before 6pm. I was told that no manager could be reached, but someone would follow up the next morning. This never happened. If I could, I would rate this company in the negatives. In today's world, with expenses what they are, paying these kinds of rates, customer service is a must. In the end, I called just to get an invoice as I never got one. I overheard a coworker call my wife and me "a bunch of a__holes" not once, but twice. The card got charged, but an actual itemized work invoice still hasn't been received. Stay far away! There are far too many plumbing service companies out there, certainly for what this clown show of a company charges. This is by far the worst consumer experience I have had in my 55 years!

This company is the worst we ever dealt with. We got quotes from a few companies and picked Griffin because the salesman, ***, seemed to know what he was talking about and the price was reasonable, not too cheap or too expensive. We got our old system replaced on April 20, but when the City of Jacksonville inspector came to inspect it, it failed. It took a month to get Griffin to come back and fix the issues. When the tech, ***, came, he didn't know what to do and suggested cutting a hole in our roof, but thankfully didn't. We had to deal with this for months, with the system failing inspection three times due to safety issues. We had five techs and talked to five office staff, but only Karley was helpful. Management was always out of town and never returned our calls. The techs were clueless and even borrowed our tools without asking. We asked for a refund and told them to remove the system, but management didn't care. We canceled our service plan and will go with a better company. Don't use Griffin, go with anyone else.

I used Griffin Service for my AC repair and they were pretty good. They came on time and fixed the problem quick. The guy who came was nice and explained everything to me. The price was a little high but I guess that's just how it is. Overall, I would recommend them if you need AC repair.

This company told me that if I paid $99 for their service call, they would take it off the cost of my repair if I decided to go ahead with it. But they didn't do that. They added the $99 to the repair cost, which meant I was overcharged by $198. I called them to complain, but they didn't call me back like they said they would. They were supposed to snake my toilet, but the invoice they sent me said they snaked my shower drain, which is wrong.

We got our AC replaced with a new *** system in March . We paid $18,000 for 2 units. Our house had 3 units before. Griffen took out 3 systems and put in 2 new high efficiency systems. We had them out to fix at least 6 error codes and parts that went bad. Last month they came out, fixed a drain problem, and the same night the AC stopped working again. We have mold on the AC units, which they removed last month after adjusting settings. Now tonight, another error code and our AC is not working again. I think the system they installed is a lemon or it was not installed right. I want Griffen to fix it or put in a new system for free.

I had a problem with my AC on 4/17, so I called Griffin. They came over and checked it out and told me that I needed to replace the inside coil and add freon to the unit because there was a leak. They used some fancy electronic thing to find the leak and charged me $338.40 for that test, plus $69 for a "full system evaluation." I paid them with my Mastercard and didn't think anything of it. But then my home warranty company said that the charges were too high and asked me to let A&G come over and check it out before any work was done. So on 4/19, A&G came over and I told him what Griffin had said about the inside coil. He checked for leaks again and said that the coil was NOT leaking. It was just a bad valve. He replaced the valve and now everything is working great. I shouldn't have to pay for something that was done wrong. I feel like I got ripped off. I tried calling Griffin multiple times but they never called me back.

I hit up Griffin Services on 9/13 'cause my electricity bill was too high. They sent a tech to my crib who didn't do things right and didn't check for leaks before adding Freon. I paid $305 for two pounds of Freon and it only worked for a couple hours before all the refrigerant leaked out and the air handler froze up. It got hot as hell, like 86 degrees, and the AC stopped working. I called them up first thing on 9/14 to tell them what happened, but they sent the same tech who said my unit was done for and needed to be replaced for at least $2079 for a reversal valve. My system was working before he came, it just ran all the time. But after he left, it didn't work at all. I hired another company who came the same day and fixed the leak for less than $500! These guys are shady and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
