. Sure, they lured me in with the thought that i would get money back. And I did. But What they failed to do was be VERY clear up front that they collect 33 percent of whatever you get back, and make *** phone calls, emails and text messages at all hours of the day and night if you don't pay it back immediately.

When I was finally able to pay off my bill, their accounting was wrong. I had made payments in three amounts. They recorded the first and last payment but "LOST" the middle payment and continued to *** me - even though i had bank statements showing what i had paid.

All of this has been going on through the pandemic. ***. I talked to one agent in particular (Martha) and mentioned the issue in the world right now is affecting my income. She had no idea what i was talking about. Her exact reply was "what issue in the world right now? - there's no excuse".

Family Tax is also living under a rock.

I need to add that all of these countless emails was over 242 dollars.

I've replied to automatic emails from family tax recovery saying my refund has been approved and sent messages telling them I need my money directly deposited into my bank account and sent void check in emails for couple weeks now and now they saying it will be ready January 2nd but still no response about my bank info. Im starting to wonder if there are even real people there.

So in February i took a leap of faith and applied to see if I was able to get a refund. After waiting and waiting I reached out left waiting and waiting to get a run around answer to wait again. I have now been waiting over 3 months and have given all my personal information and I'm still left sitting in the wind. I emailed again to check status in March 26 still haven't heard anything back after weeks. I'd like to know if you took all my sensitive info or your actually using it for a refund I'm still waiting to hear about

FamilyTaxRecovery has " reached out to me thru email , saying that I had possible tax refund owed to Me that I was never given. I filled out little info and checked boxes for FTR to check for Me. I was nervous because i wasn't sure if FTR was legit or a ***. 1 week later i was told thru email that their was $800 owed to Me. I was very rushed when clicking to boxes and lightly reading the info that says" FTR wants to help you so I just got a Invoice from FTR saying i have payment Due for $267.70 $34.80 Hst =$302.50 and that the $ is due thursday augest 9th 2021 . that i have to give them 33% of My own tax refund . Thats not helping if the $ is actually Mine in the 1st place , FTR contacts people with low income then takes 1/3 ?

I saw an ad for this company promising to look through your tax history to see if you're eligible for a refund. In the agreement it states they will provide you with a refund and you only need to pay an invoice if you receive a refund. They never once mention the refund will be from the CRA. Now they are *** me everyday saying that I need to pay my invoice even though I never received a refund. My direct deposit info with CRA is not correct and had I known the refund would come from the CRA I would have updated it beforehand but I was never even advised of this. I have told multiple employees of this company that I have not received any refund but they just insist that I pay my invoice and threaten further action if I don't.

This company reassessed my taxes WITHOUT my permission. On October 21, this company confirmed that my application had been terminated by my request just 2 days after sending it in because I was nervous that FTR was a scam. Their representative called me on October 21, and confirmed it had been terminated, but now FIVE MONTHS LATER your company took it upon THEMSELVES to reassess my taxes WITHOUT MY PERMISSION in March . I have sent 2 emails to them in response to their request for payment of $341... I spoke directly with their representative *** - she told me to "go ahead and call the police" and hung up on me, and I have left 2 voice messages requesting that a manager call me back as soon as possible. This is my 5th attempt to get a professional response about this matter. This company must be stopped! I need a professional to reach out to me on how to handle this matter, as I am at a loss!

Hello I would like to personally put in a formal complaint against this company. I had contacted this company with hope of a refund.They quickly got back to me and said no refund issued. I have been receiving emails from a *** I assume he is my advocate to see if I qualify for a new refund. He mentioned that there is new updates on my file and to check refund status. There is nothing new on my file. I have contacted the company but only get a voice-mail. I have left several messages by someone named *** It does not let speak to someone. I have returned emails to Mr. explaining I do not see any changes. I've contact support on my personal page. No one replies defeats the purpose of support if they don't answer you. Im always given a new pin number to access my acct. There is no resolution to these problems and concerns. I contact the ComplaintsBoard.com in my city and was advised to place my complaint. I am very confused at the lack of support and information that has been provided.

I have not authorized this company to do my 2020 income tax return, although they were listed as an authorized representive from a previous year for an inquiry about possible refunds from previous tax years. I have secured a local accountant to do my income tax return on my behalf as of Feb 23 2021, and the work on my return was done March 03. I had received a refund for 2020 tax year, assuming that my local accountant had filed in my behalf as of March 11. This company had went ahead and filed on my behalf without signed authorization, nor did I request their services. I've since deleted this company as an authorized representive and put further security features on my CRA account. They have now billed me for $1108.50 for services rendered that I had not given authorization. Now they have been *** via email and phone for payment due, and are now sending threats to take it to a collection agency. I have alerted a credit bureau explaining what has happened, notified the police and CRA.
