Bought a peach tree. Got a twig. It did not grow!
I paid $35 for an Elberta Peach tree. It was less than half the size as described. I followed the instructions very carefully. After one month, there was absolutely no sign of growth. I kept it protected and made sure the soil was moist. I called and expressed my concerns to GreenThumbsGarden. They put me off, saying to be patient, that it would grow. A month later I expressed my concerns again to GreenThumbsGarden, because it was showing no sign of growing. This spring, it did not bud at all. Further examination proved it had died. I feel ripped off! Now that the tree has died, they say I did not complain within the Etsy 100-day window. I believe GreenThumbsGarden put me off deliberately so the 100-day window would expire. Now they claim they cannot help me! Niether GreenThumbsGarden nor Etsy stand behind the products they sell. Their customer service is abysmal!
Desired outcome: Full refund of purchase and shipping.

I sold my trumpet on Etsy to buyer for $1,100.00.
Buyer reported not received, but Post office confirmed delivery.
Texted buyer same day and asked if it was there. He did not reply back that day.
Approximately 3 weeks later he charged back the 1100 plus fees to my account.
I had kept pictures of item with serial number and distinct markings that showed it was my item he was now selling on ebay.
Local Law enforcement as well as federal authority are now involved.
When does Etsy refund me or how do I get item or money back in account.
Desired outcome: I filed criminal charges.
Missing item
On 3/31/23 I ordered a personalized memorial suncatcher from XzibitASupply. The seller said it would be arriving Apr 11-23. When I didn't have it on 4/23/23 I messaged the seller (Andi Love) on Etsy. No response. I messaged again on 4/24/23, 4/28/23 & 4/30/23. I also sent an email to this seller on 4/30/23 at [protected]@xzibitasupply.com. I have yet to get a response from any of my messages. And now this seller has removed their shop from Etsy altogether. Meanwhile, I am out $35.63. I have filed an escalated complaint w/PayPal also, but since this is one of your vendors, I think you should know that this seller failed to send my item to me & doesn't have the courtesy to make things right. I would like a full refund of this purchase asap. I also checked with FedEx since I did find a tracking # & was told that my package was delivered to an address that isn't even my address... not even close to my address where it may have been a typo! It appears the seller sent it across town! I have checked with the person at that address & was told they do not have any packages delivered from Etsy. So I don't know what your seller has done w/my item, but this is pathetic customer service & I want my money back! I really hate to contact Josh Silverman, but that will be my next option if this can't be resolved at a lower level. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Can not log in to my account and they don't respond timely

Can not log in to my Etsy shop for 2 day now. Tried all I can and been told I need to log in before they will help, even though that is the problem. It appears there is no phone contact until you sign in. A friend email Etsy on her account, and they sent a link for me, to use the link they told me to log in before they could help. Again, problem is can not log in. They have also been asked to phone me on my number held on my details. Still nothing. Tried to change password just in case but could not as it appears my email address is not valid. This has been ongoing 19/12/22, and it seems I can not get help on this. I found my saved email and password for my Etsy shop, and it's the same as I've been entering. It all happened tonight 04/26/23 around 8 pm, before that during the day I was able to log in with no issues, therefore, this is an Etsy IT issue which they refuse to help immediately knowing it has happened before.
Etsy's support is the worst in the universe. No human interaction, just an AI response that takes you into loops going nowhere and when you email them they say they'll take care of it 'as soon as possible' but they take their sweet time while we lose income.
Desired outcome: Be able to log into my Etsy shop immediately.
UPDATE: after a stressful 2 days of back and forth with Etsy, finally the issue was resolved and as usual it was on them not me or anything else. When a company gets big, they forget who made them big while they collect their billions of dollars but give less support to its sellers. They lack human interaction using an AI auto reply that sends you exactly the same links to go to when in order to go to you can't even log in... I called their phone number headquarters then, and AGAIN they have an automated voice message stating that they can't receive any calls there, so, why do they have a phone number that doesn't receive calls? Having a cold AI to answer our questions is not the way to go, WE SELLERS WANT HUMAN INTERACTION WHEN ENCOUNTER WITH SERIOUS ISSUES LIKE MINE.

Wrongful suspensions and terminations / unethical and unlawful terms of service

Failure to remit payment
I have been selling on the Etsy platform for nearly 3 years, I have requested my deposits on a monthly basis for the products I sell. Etsy has no issues receiving their "fees" However, I have been waiting for my deposit, which is 3 weeks overdue and I have still not received it. Many attempts to deposit and lots of returned deposits but, no actual see through. I have called many times and have "escalated" my issue that has been met with deaf ears. No email notices, call-backs, or messages to explain, clarify or heck even apologize for such a delay in payment. I have suggested on every call to have Etsy send me a "check" that I can deposit in my bank myself. With all the technology we have today with Zelle, Cash App, etc. and all the money they automatically make from sellers fees, that it's impossible to pay up. I find it disrespectful and unacceptable that they are unable to pay what they obviously owe. It is becoming more and more difficult to remain in a place that does not accept responsibility for their shortcomings and are not attempting to make it right. I don't have any expectations that this complaint will go anywhere seeing the amount of "resolved" issues are nearly non existent. Bottom line. Pay me what you owe me. This is my livelihood and it's really not a good idea to bite the hand that feeds you. Without sellers like me, Etsy wouldn't exist.
Desired outcome: Remit payment immediately. I accept Cash, Zelle, CashApp, Check, Money Order, Cashiers Check, with an apology. I had to take time, that I'll never get back, to type out this complaint.
Unable to unsubscribe from etsy there is no unsubscribe button visibly on the site
April 10, I was hacked trying to get into Etsy to pay for an item I purchased.
There is not visible unsubscribe button visibly on the web site. which is in FTC violation. Spent days searching the site and calling sending emails and chats to no avail.
I cannot remove myself from the site there is no unsubscribe button anywhere to be seen.
Poor customer service and very poor protection from hackers want to be removed from this site as soon as possible.
I had to change all bank information. This is very frustrating.
I don't know what else to do.

My newly opened account suspended without any reason
I opened a seller account on Etsy and paid attention to everything etsy asked before opening the account. After my account was active, I listed a few products and activated them by opening their ads. These products are not prohibited and I have not received any complaints. I have listed the designs that I have made myself. Two days later, while I was dealing with my account again, my account was suspended without any notification. I immediately contacted etsy and they informed me that the account is permanently suspended. Although I wrote many times later, they still did not give any reason.

The issues I have with my purchase are as follows
- the standard of finish to the model is very poor, not what the photographs describe
-no set of instructions for assembly
- broken parts to the model
- poorly packaged item hence the reason why some parts are broken.
- I have waited two or more months for delivery of this item only to be disappointed with the standard of finish and poor reasoning from the seller.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund, if the seller requires me to send back the item they would need to pay for postage as this wasn't my fault.

Just having my shop show up when it’s searched for.
Algorithm discriminates. I even had a chat with a representative that gaslit me and berated me because I kept asking for a direct answer to my question. And not a scripted response of “check out the 101 things you can do video”. My question was, why when I type in the EXACT name of my store, why does my store not show up? In fact it doesn’t show up and all I get is pages of products that have zero relevance to what we sell. I figured it’s a basic thing, typing in an exact name, get an exact search result, right? Like, that’s the most basic, first way a customer will look for us. The search engine. I feel it was a simple request as a paying customer of Etsy, yes, we pay for the listings in advance, should provide a direct search result to the paying storefront. Anyway. The answer I got was being talked down to in the chat. And then the chat mysteriously disappeared after I asked if the algorithm was discriminating against newer shop owners.
I’d love for some help on this.
I also filed a complaint with Etsy. I can provide that in full. I wasn’t able to screenshot the chat as it disappeared without warning.

Hello, I'm Noam. I set up a shop on Etsy and after a month without notice I got a block to the shop and all my money got stuck there
All my reviews are positive. I released all my orders and Etsy still refuses to give me my money and is holding it without permission.

Etsy shop cancels my order because I asked question on a previous order
I had an item cancelled from an esty shop Quality Bead Mart. When I got the cancellation it did not state which item. I contacted the seller and stated which item it was, stating no longer available. I asked if that is the case why is the item still showing available for sale, I as told to contact Esty. Why contact Esty, I would have assumed the shop would somehow make the correction so others would not assume the item was available. Again, I was told to contact Esty. I was a bit upset how the shop just blew me off since I do order from them often. And as if somehow what I was viewing the item incorrect online when the status of the item was still showing available. So to prove my point that something was wrong with the site, store or Esty, I reordered the same item, hoping the shop would research it. (Sorry I am a retired programmer, business analyst, business system analyst and SQA engineer) I was trying to help. I gave them a 1 star for not having the item and the comments from the shop. It was cancelled without any explanation and all subsequent orders from me cancelled. Is this store policy or within Esty store policies?

Illegal action
I have been a goldsmith seller with etsy since 2012, with around 3800 sales and 1908 5 stars feedbacks. Yesterday I got a mail from etsy at 16.29 pm saying that order [protected] opened a case because he hadnt received his order. A few minutes after I replied to the case giving tracking number LX425821192IL that the order had been delivered. 2 hours later, to my utmost ashtonishment I receiced another mail from etsy saying they had fully refunded the customer on my behalf after investigation!
I demand very serious explanation about which investigation etsy did in 2 hours to decide to fully refund an order that is marked as delivered? On what ground etsy is taking my money out of my account without talking with me first? Can any customer open a case and get his money back straight away without investigation? while the tracking stipulate it has been delivered? This is a very illegal act, since then I have been trying to get reach of etsy but there is no way to get a human contact.
My frustration is so high that I will do whatever it takes to prove that you cannot act as a dictature. I demand a prompt explanation before legal action against etsy. Catherine Ulanovski

This is the first time I have tried to use Etsy and probably the last. I ordered a periodic table light. Three days later I was asked for a VAT number and told they did not know anything about South Africa. The purchase was for me and I dont have a VAT number. Then the order was cancelled. The "seller" claims to have been writing to me but I did not receive any messages. Very disappointing but lesson learned and I will no longer use Etsy. Sean Duggan
Withholding funds for no reason
ETSY placed my shop on "reserve status" even though I did nothing wrong.
I am a five-star seller, ship my product fast, free and trackable via USPS Priority mail.
I am not a new shop, have not had a great increase in sales, nor broken any policy. In fact, I have been awarded a "Star Seller" multiple times.
They will now withhold (steal) any funds from sales for 45 days before release.
They stated after I contacted them and escalated my claim, that they would contact me in 24 hours, and then ignored me, which says that THEY have misleading communication and terrible customer service, not me!
Desired outcome: I want them to take my shop off of "reserve" status and apologize to me.
