Etsy Permanent suspension

Hi! I was recently suspended permanently, with no warning and no explanation. I even never had any human interaction including someone to answer my appeal. So it means they are violating their own policy and basic human rights to have human interaction after such serious decision.The response to the appeal was automatic, I know because as I replied to the response saying it was an error to suspend me, I got a long message 2 seconds later saying "cannot reconsider the decision of suspension". I ask for my right to get a human response to my appeal and/or one of my messages afterwards regarding the suspension. It’s enough upsetting that Etsy suspend with no warning and no explanation, the least Etsy can do is to give me a human response. I'm providing screen shots as proof for the answer to my appeal to be automatic, a robot. A long email reply was sent just 2 seconds after!

Desired outcome: Human response with a rightful explanation to the suspension, and if not provided, to be added back as a seller.

File a complaint against etsy with the FTC and Attorney General. I had a similar situation as them and your odds will improve significantly if you file formal complaints. The more people do it, the better your odds because etsy doesn't want the government cracking down on them for their unfair business practices.

I am from the UK and have had a 5 star rated shop for about 4 years.

Suddenly, on the 3rd January 2024 my account was suspended with no reason. A generic email is what i received.

My appeal was turned down.

I am not happy and please can you tell me how I can complain to the FTC in the US?

Can this be done from the UK?

Etsy Unexplained suspension

I opened a shop on Etsy way back around 2011. At the time I was marketing custom designed luggage tags which really didn't sell all that well so I put the shop on hiatus. Work, child, moving, Covid all played a part in not finding time to restart. I began making some personal items for family and friends and the general consensus was to try to sell them on Etsy. Trying to read and learn all the ins and outs of restarting, really learning the process, I finally opened my old shop under a brand new shop name with items custom made. Some items were designed then produced by a third party but that was disclosed properly.

Go to open my shop to make some final changes and I'm suspended. Trying to get in touch with anyone other than a bot is almost impossible. No communication, no idea what could possibly be an issue, very little response to emails. It's truly shocking that an ecommerce website such as Etsy offers such minimal support for sellers. Minimal? No support whatsoever. In reading other reviews, this suspension seems to be extraordinarily common especially with new shops but honestly, it seems most issues could be easily resolved without booting people off.

Desired outcome: I want to know what the issues for suspension were. I want to be able to understand and resolve them, not completely booted to the side of the road. I want Etsy to create good customer service. It's unacceptable the way it is now.

Etsy No acceptable resolution to a purchase that was received incomplete

Purchased Woodubend item# tr718 and tr46 from the same vendor. These are sold as 2 rolls per package. I received 1 roll in each package. Tried to resolve, I don’t know how they can’t refund my money for only receiving half an order. She claims she changed the volume on the listing. However, who looks at that? This is a deceptive way to sell an item. If tr718 is a pack of 2. I am assuming I am getting a pack of 2. Her listing did not say it was a partial package. I have a big issue with scamming consumers. Especially since most of them probably don’t even know they are being scammed. I know, because I purchased this item directly from Woodubend and know there should be 2 rolls in the package. I paid $ 55.78 for half a package a full package would have cost 51.09. Plus tax. This is a complete rip off. Why Etsy can’t see this is beyond my comprehension. One video shows what I received. The second video shows how Woodubend is packaged with a roll on each side. The other photos are the exact items per sku and how they are sold as a package of 2.

Etsy Junk and corruption on Etsy

The artists and business owners are vulnerable and Etsy and eBay and Poshmark take advantage of that.

Artists and small business owners, the exceptional people on Etsy, should be able to concentrate on creating beauty in the world. To be able to focus on expressing themselves for others to admire.

I am here to fight for the hard working people. They deserve our respect and assistance

The following is confidential and anonymous. It is dangerous for me to live now...

This class action suit should only be for the artisans and hard working shopkeepers on Etsy. I've spent over $50,000 on Etsy for the finest most delicate, beautifully made things I own and that i will always treasure.

We buyers aren't owed anything. What is our loss compared to these fine folks who put their hearts and souls on the line for us every day of their lives. And they are all over the world, too.

I absolutely would not take a dime. I would not take one million. I would not take one billion. That is what the Etsy shop keepers are owed for their sweat and toil. I am sick and tired of corruption. We must put an end to it. Etsy and eBay... You messed with the wrong woman.

Let's get our noble legislators to help. They make no money so we can trust then. Here is their net worth:

Handmade brass ingot that I create by hand was suspended for violating ETSY's 'handmade policy'.

Spoken to 4 staff on chat and they cite 'security reasons' as for why they cant tell me the specific reason as to why the product was suspended because of a breach of the handmade policy.

It's clearly handmade, and ive offered to show a picture of my workshop. There are also other products on ETSY that are the same type of product.

Escalating this to the Australian ACCC and will also enter the magistrates court. It is clear bullying, even racketeering by ETSY.

Desired outcome: Reinstate listing, provide detailed reasons as to why action is taken.

I’m still waiting on my money it’s been 6 months I was told to wait this and I will be paid?! I haven’t and will be getting in touch with a lawyer regarding this matter as you owe me a lot of money see screenshots attached.
I have patiently waited since you suspended my shop for my money but now it’s still not in my bank I need to escalate to complaints department. See screenshots attached
I have a legal right to claim money which is owed to me and you are committing fraud by keeping my funds!
I want to know when I will receive my money?!

Why are you appealing your account suspension?: I have not violated Etsys policies or had any account issues

Other reason:

Are there any actions you've taken to address your suspension?: I would like to but I have no idea what I've done to violate your policy? First I show no nudity and only list playboy magazines which is art not pornographic material. Also your policy on these very vague and hard to understand. If I thought I was in violation I would have made additional changes over and above what I was doing like covering up any and all nudity. Further you would remove a few of my listings at a time so I could not understand the difference. If Playboy magazines are in general the problem why not say that in your policies?

How will your business practices change if you regain account access?: I will follow the guidelines once I understand what I did wrong and not let this happen again. Please understand I thought I was doing it correctly and would had made immediate changes if I knew exactly what the violation was.

Etsy I ordered a ring from Etsy, there seller, Munjani Jewels purchased 5/2/23

I ordered a moissante oval ring with halo & stones on both sides of the ring.

From Etsy. They sent me a cad design to approve. The design showed the style & setting of the ring, but no stones were shown. The ring is around 4 1/2 carats, including the halo stones & stones on both sides of the ring. The ring was set with 14 K yellow gold over sterling silver.

I received the ring this week, it is not what I expected. The center stone is fine, but the halo stones are so tiny, they look invisible.

I messaged the seller & told him I was not happy with the ring. I asked him if he could reset the halo with larger stones. He told me to reset it! He then said I would have to order another ring, he could not replace the halo with larger stones.

Because he considers this a custom order, he said he will not accept returns. I told him that if this is a custom order why did he not show me the pictures of the stones he was going to use. No answer. I paid for this thru paypal & I am hoping they will let me return the ring back to the seller. I was unable to hear back from ETSY, so I am making a complaint.

Desired outcome: I want to be able to return the ring back to the seller & receive a refund.

Etsy Account suspension

Been a seller on etsy for over 2 years with over 27000 sales and thousands of 5 star reviews. Yesterday morning was business as usual. Then suddenly we got 3 cases opened against us in a row (we have NEVER had a single case opened against us before) and I read the notes from one customer saying 'etsy says shop closed, I would like a refund.' So I went to check my account of course, my account was showing as suspended. Checked my email and spam folders and nothing. No notice, notification or anything on being suspended or any reason why. I opened a support ticket and they got back to me late yesterday saying that my account had been permanently suspended for terms of use violation and noted that he could not tell me what exactly we violated. I went through the entire terms of use and as far as I know, we violated nothing. We have no trademark/copyright infringements, we don't sell any prohibited items and everything is hand produced in our shop. To make matters worse, the email that etsy sent out, they sent it to customers as old as 7 days ago even though we already shipped all those orders, some even delivered. Etsy ENCOURAGED customers to file for a refund per one of our customers telling us. So not only did Etsy unjustly suspend our account, but they literally asked customers who had already received their orders to steal from us by requesting refunds.

Etsy has destroyed our business and my family. The business was supporting my family and now that they abruptly closed it for no reason, I am unable to support my wife and kids. I will be considering legal action, whether it's arbitration or suing them.

Desired outcome: Reinstate my account and return the funds that were unjustly refunded to my customers who already received their orders.

Etsy Selling on Etsy

My store was suspended because I had a balance due from advertisements. I never paid for advertisements. I was hacked 2 months ago, I notified Etsy of this. I was met with "change your password", "use two factor authentication", so I did. Then I was told to call my bank, my bank cannot do anything since no charges were made by Etsy to my account. I owe $3980.99 for advertisements but am owed $1794.14 from sales. Etsy will not pay me due to the fact that I "owe" money.

No customer support, zero help.

I cannot access my photos, my reviews, my descriptions. This is over 13 years worth of work gone.

Desired outcome: To have my balance with Etsy to $0. To be paid what I am owed by Etsy. To have proper customer care as a seller with Etsy.

Etsy Scammed by the seller

I purchased one item from the shop shamcreationIN like 3 days back. And 2 days I contacted the seller regarding some more information about the product. I ask him to send me the photo of the product before shipping. The seller didn't respond me back and in fact he just closed his shop permanently. That's so strange. I messaged him for the refund but no response back. The payment made through PayPal. I don't know if Etsy is doing anything to protect their buyers. As the Etsy just telling me as payment made through PayPal, you have to contact the PayPal customer services. How Etsy is allowing such a seller's to open a shop on Etsy 1st place? What they are doing to cross-check for the legitimity of the seller? I am really sad, as I do really trust Etsy. But now onwards I have to aware and think twice to buy anything on Etsy.

Desired outcome: I need my money back. Also, please put any filter to the website who can open the shop.

Hi

Can you please advise me on this.I had this delivered to the wrong address and not received.I would not have used the wrong address in error as I have received the other package correctly made on same transaction.Checked my account correct address on default 25 Heol Lowi Cwmbran NP44 1GB

Also my card details are registered to this address so if the address HAD been made in error then why was my payment accepted with security. As address and card details should always match.I now am without this card and need it.Future purchases will not use guest checkout however never issue previously.Seller been lovely but refuses to re send without payment

Can you please arrange for this to be re sent at no charge to me and to explain why payment was taken if address details didn’t match,

The item has been sent out according to the details we were provided with, if you would like another card sending out I’m afraid you would need to purchase again as we have sent it as per the order we received.

If you do believe there to be an error with etsys system I would strongly recommend getting in touch with them directly and raising an investigation for them to look into it further.

Etsy Indian Artisans Club, Bestellung: [protected]

Das bestellte Produkt ist nicht angekommen. (Geöffnete, leere Verpackung! Siehe Fotos, weitere vorhanden.).

Der Shop wurde von mir kontaktiert, wollte Fotos, ist aber unter der angegebenen Mailadresse ([protected]@gmail.com) nicht erreichbar. Der Zusteller (DPD) erklärt sich für nicht zuständig, weil nur der Versender Kunde ist.

Ich werde mit meiner Beschwerde im Kreis geschickt (auch von Etsy) und bleibe also auf den Kosten sitzen!

Etsy Etsy account suspended for no reason

Hello,

My Etsy Shop, RAMasterpieces, was suspended after i opened it in March 5th and listed my first product. It's a wooden home decor store that i created to sell my wood products on an interesting Marketplace like Etsy . All my products are designed and 100% handmade by me (you can find some examples below joint that i intend to sell).

Upon reading carefully the terms and conditions of use i think my account got suspended for no reason as i didn't violate any policy.

Please at your convenience let me know whether or not my account can be reopened.

Etsy Etsy very biased targeting of smaller stores

I just had my store shut down for not selling "handmade" items. When I can pull up tons of other HUGE stores making millions a year that sell the EXACT same items I was selling, that are sadly still up and selling even as my store was shut down. We even use the EXACT same stock photos from the same suppliers. Etsy sets you up to fail. They allow you to connect to drop shipping websites, allow your orders to be synced automatically to drop shipping websites. And then shut you down for it. They don't follow their own policies, which makes it very confusing for a new store owner like myself when it comes to drop shipping. They allow these companies to have thousands of sales a day dropshipping the EXACT same item from the EXACT same supplier that my store was shut down for. If Etsy expects people to follow their policies they need to follow their own. They cannot be biased towards larger stores and help monopolize all the sales. If they shut one store down for dropshipping and not being handmade, they need to shut all stores down for dropshipping. A simple Google image search will pull up all stores using these photos. My income is completely gone in one moment. All while I can still log on and see hundreds of other stores, selling the exact same items that my store was shut down for. CJDropshipping is the website that all of these stores dropship from (AND ETSY ALLOWS YOU TO CONNECT TO). Then Google search any pillow, furniture, home decor, etc from that website. will easily pull up so many stores on Etsy selling these exact items. The photos are even taken from CJ drop shipping to post on the Etsy descriptions. Cannot understand how I was flagged for specific items and told they violate Etsy policies while you still knowingly allow huge businesses to make millions of dollars a year selling the identical items using the exact same photos to advertise as I was. I'm not sure how this is legal and I would love to speak with someone. Etsy makes it very difficult to have a conversation with a human I continue to get machine responses and pre-typed generic emails.

Desired outcome: i would like my store reopened or compensation from Etsy for the VERY clear biases they show on a daily basis.

Etsy Shop Access

i put my shop on vacation mode over a year and half ago because i had no time for it anymore being very involved in animal rescuing. I had two factor

authentication on trough an app. Meanwhile i have changed my phone but i haven't update the app so any code it gives it wont work. I contact etsy to disable the two factor so i can log in in my acct. I gave them all the bank details, card, even conversations from shop. They still wont grant me access to my account or at least close it completely. Yet they send me bills every month.

Desired outcome: Either to let me back on my account or to close it completely so i can start over.

Etsy Etsy Plaftorm

I have been a seller since 2015 and never had any problem until this April 10th 2023 where they told me to update my bank account because they were not able to send my deposit! I never had any problem receiving my desposits until now and my bank accounts are perfectly working. I have been trying for more than a month to update my bank information but the deposits still were bouncing back and the etsy team kept asking me that the fault was coming from my bank account.

After 1 month, they decided to suspend my account because they could not verified my banking information that were perfectly working before!

I don't know how to have my deposit back. They still owe me money.

Desired outcome: Have my shop back running because this is my only source of income and someone to review what is wrong with the deposits because i am apparently not the only one in this situation.

I have tried to contact for a product that I received in the wrong size for a refund I ordered a size girls size 10 and received a girls size 6x. The seller was not willing to provide a refund. I returned the merchandise via the label provided and they did not receive the merchandise, and the USPS has not recognized the return label and the seller is not willing to provide a refund.

Desired outcome: A full refund in the amount of $38.30

WHAT in the world.! NO sales. I do not need BS from ETSY about "Here's what YOU are doing wrong," or "...here's what YOU need to do." NO ! "Here's what YOU need to do ETSY:" Get back to whatever you were doing and stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Your genius I.T. "wet behind th ears" Bill Gates grads are trying to change the Coca Cola formula again,

And BTW - trans people don't drink beer. They drink cocktails with umbrellas.

Idiots ! My sales have dropped from thousands to ZERO for more than a month and still I'm seeing nothing, and it's nothing I'M doing. My store is flush with populare items - same ones for 5 years or more.
