They did a great job making my existing wall structurally sound while raising the height to seven feet tall.They showed up each day promptly at 7am and worked hard and were very friendly. The finished wall was just what I wanted! I would reccomend them to my friends.

Rob from Desert Starr did an excellent job that included tearing down and redesigning a damaged arch in the from of our house. His estimate was accurate and he showed up exactly when he said he would. He is a busy guy, so expect to wait awhile but it was worth the wait.

Rob did an excellent job with patching up a hole in my house wall where they removed bricks to fix a leaking pipe. He was very patient and answered all the questions I had. He did a wonderful job finding a brick that matched the existing ones and it blends in perfectly. I recommend him for masonry wall repairs.

Interactions were friendly and honest. And the work that was done was done quick, but beautifully! My experience with Rob and Desert Starr Masonry has been positive from start to finish. I received quotes and communicated with 6 different masons/masonry companies while bidding out my job, and while Desert Starr was not necessary the cheapest, it was competive with the lower bids while being licensed, bonded, and insured, which was something I was looking for. Rob was communicative throughout the planning process, and made multiple quotes and adjustments based upon different scenarios, all in a very timely manner. He also started and completed all work in the timeframe he gave me, which was very fast for the size of the job. He was open and responsive to any questions I had throughout the process, and I'm very pleased with the finished product. All around an honest guy that does quality work. I would recommend him to anyone needing masonry work.

In November , Rob and his team from Desert Starr Masonry finished over 600 linear feet of a double split CMU wall (including 33 seven foot high columns). Rob's work and attention to detail is outstanding. His work ethic and energy level resulted in the project being completed on time. The project cost was reasonable and he was able to handle change orders with no problem. He did a great job. Having said that, the most amazing thing about this project was Rob's consistent communication with me. I have worked with many contractors and have never seen the level of communication as I did with Rob. This aspect of working with contractors is very important to me and has often been a source of high frustration. But not with Rob, He responded quickly to my request for quotes, he showed up to my house when he said he would, and he often returned answers to my texts or emails the same day. I highly recommend him and would use him again in a heartbeat.

Desert Starr Masonry & Repair LLC came to my home for an estimate to "brick in" an existing exterior doorway. Rob arrived right on time on 10/30. Rob was extremely personable and I was quickly put at ease. We spoke of many different possibilities to complete the job all while being aware of my budget. Rob explained his work and showed me some examples of lesser quality work on other areas of my home. Rob was concerned that I would not be happy with the difference in color when trying to match old bricks with new ones and the extent he would go to to find the best match both in color and texture. I received a written estimate by email that same day that was very reasonable! I was able to get a few different estimates from some other companies with cheaper quotes but I chose to go with Desert Starr because of Rob's personality, expertise and professionalism. I was shocked when Rob called almost a week early to say he had an opening in his schedule and would like to start the work earlier than scheduled. I expected him to break up the work into two days however, Rob arrived early and spent the entire day (into the night) to finish the job! I was so grateful for the care, integrity and extra effort Rob showed. It meant a lot to me to actually have a tradesman show pride in their work and skills and make things work without "cheating" the customer. It is also important for me to note the wonderful way Rob interacted with my 12 year old son (who is super inquisitive) when he asked questions and generally showed an interest in what Rob was doing. I am more than pleased with the outcome of my job! 100% WOULD recommend Dessert Start Masonry & Repair LLC.
