I attempted to build a website. I thought the site was pretty good, however, there was absolutely no customer support. No phone number no nothing. I googled "wix.com phone number customer support", but the only thing that came up was numerous other people who were unsatisfied with their lack of technical support.

I was forced to email them and got a response back directing me to their FAQ section. Well, I read that and it didn't resolve my problem. Otherwise, I most likely wouldn't be calling. The attempt to resolve my problem was really not well received it seemed.

I emailed them back asking if they had planned on getting a number because this is what I was referring to with regards to my hesitancy of going with them. I never heard back from them after a couple more emails. They took no care in the world to satisfy my concerns or to even attempt to sell themselves as a great company.
Essentially, they just didn't care.

If you google their name with the words "scam" or "complaint", you will pull up numerous other complaints.
I would very strongly advise going with someone else. There are plenty of other companies to waste your time dealing with these folks, particularly when you have to email back and forth to resolve a technical difficulty? THINK ABOUT THAT! That could take days!

I built a website on WIX. There are many computers browsers that will not work with WIX.

Many of my friends and customers computers will not load my website. At first they told me it was some editing problem. Then I finally got my answer. Apparently, Wix is now using HTML5 (a 2012 programming language)

SOOOOO...
If you bought your computer in 2011 and did not update Chrome or other browsers, Wix will not work. I asked them if they knew how many people own 2 year old computers and have not updated their browsers. They keep giving me answers of negligence.

I'll tell you...MILLIONS. There are MILLIONS of computers out there my business website created on WIX will not download. THAT"S CRAZY. How can you offer a website builder to businesses and the thing doesn't work on millions of computers. This is WRONG and RIDICULOUS! Now I have to start all over again. So much time and effort wasted with these guys.

Homestead.com and Web.com I heard will work with all browsers. I will go there. Thanks WIX for fooling me, then skirting the issue and wasting my time. If you are using a website builder for a business... be aware...millions of computers will not read your site using WIX.

Wix falls way short in the customer service department. Is spending boocoo bucks on advertising on radio and TV, but have put nothing into their functionality of web site building. They have no chance of surviving in this business without a viable product and good customer service. They went from #1 in online site builders to not even being on the chart after 6 months. That should tell you a lot. Run baby run! Take your info, go to another site builder like weebly or downloan WYSYWIG 9 to build sites off-line. You will be much happier!

I think the problem is that they are having US, the end-users...do their R&D...

There are many problems with the system and even the reps that do reply to problem posts, they don't seem to be up to speed on their own system and want the end-user to write step-by-step what to do, in order to get to the problem so that they can simulate it on their end and try to fix the problem...

When they are charging money for a system, there should be NO big issues...sure, there will always be minor issues and/or end-user mistakes...

But when the problem is on their end...they don't seem to want to face the music...and try to pass it off as the end-users mistake or they don't answer at all after that initial posting...

Someone in the "Regulatory" areas needs to do some undercover checking of this company...
