Value Plus Unauthorized electronic signature!

NO SUCH WEBSITE valueplusonline.com/open/form/gc and I DID NOT authorize anyone to enroll me. I, in-fact, have always said NO and then I get this letter with my "Subscriber Number" and my electronic signature, and authorization to charge $19.95 every month after the trail period to my credit card with my last 4 numbers I DID NOT provide to them. I called them and canceled this and I'm suppose to receive a confirmation email, We'll see. I've been out of state for two months and came home to this. I have NEVER done trial offers and this way seems it should be unlawful!

Value Plus Fraud & cheating!

I received a phone call one morning on my cell phone, and I was already running late to work so I accepted the offer for valueplus for a 30 day trial period, for 10.95. I was to receive 40 dollars in gas vouchers and 1000 dollars in grocery coupons. when I finally received the letter in the mail there were no coupons for grocery or gas, just a letter stating to go to their website to claim your vouchers, when i tried to access the website it didn't exist it brought me to a page for online scams. I called the 800 number and spoke to a representative and canceled my membership but she told me i had already been charged 19.95 for a months subscription, and that she would send the gas coupons in the mail! so I now paid 31.oo to receive 40 dollars in gas, Hmmm, and I am sure i wont receive the gas vouchers, after reading several other complaints for the same offer and noone has received their gas vouchers, something needs to be done! I will be calling my bank and complaining about this ridiculous scam, and the bank only has to try to access the website and they will see its a fraud!

Thank you all for this website and all those who made comments about valueplusonline. I just was called by valueplusonline. And they sounded a little pushy so I asked them where could I look them up online to find out more about there company. When I asked they gave me the website. After I started searching I couldn't find it but I did find you all. He tried to say that everything on here was a lie and that you all made this stuff up. Yeah Okay I though to myself. What really gave it away for him was the multitude of individuals who left comments. If it had of just been one or two I would of probably thought more aobut it. Thank you for saving me from a headache. Continue to do what you all do and I will also do the same. I wish you could of heard him stuttering as I read off to him your comments. LOL One for the good guys. My only complaint will be they lie and they were real rude to me on the phone and would not allow me to get off with hanging up in there face after I tried to let them down nicely. They basically demand a reason for me not accepting there offer. The way the got my infromation is from ordering a book from one of those infomercials about a erbal book that was supposed to be free and you only pay shipping and handle. I still have not been charged the shipment of the two books. Needless to say I am going to cancel my order and post the name of the company that gave them my information as soon as I find out who they are.

I also was promised a $50.00 give card to Walmart and I pd (dumb me) $1.95 for a cash$20.00 refund on my purchase. When I went on line to put in subscriber number and email it would not take it. I did it 5 times and it still didn't take it. I called800-475-1942 and got through to a person and told her what a scam her company is and cancelled my "membership" she did give me a confirmation # [protected] this was on 4-17-12. If they charge me a nickle I will turn them into the fraud division at my bank. Don't get taken like me.

Value Plus Internet Marketing scam

WC Value Plus (owned by DAMARK) is ripping lots of people off every month by placing unfamiliar charges on their credit cards. Somehow they got a hold of my credit card number and started billing me $16.95 per month. They started around Christmas of 2006 and I still can not get them to stop billing me. I NEVER signed up for this or agreed to anything even similar to it. When I call them at [protected], they say they will stop and also send paperwork for me to fill out so I might get a reimbursement. They won't give me their address, they say it will be in the packet they are going to mail. When I ask what I am paying for they say it is a "discounting club" for many goods and services. As you see, it has been 5 mos. and I still have a $16.95 charge for May '07 and I have not received anything from them. I finally had to destroy my credit card and start over.

Does anyone know another way to contact them? Maybe we need to bombard DAMARK regarding their "dirty little secret" scam.

Value Plus Do not let this company scam you!

I can't contact this company to stop this and the only reason I figured this out is because it made my account balance over limit. I am careful usually and I don't even use this card anymore because the interest is ridiculous. Has anyone out there figured out how to contact them and set them straight?

What kind of products have people out there ordered before they discovered that this company started showing up on their credit card statement? I know myself I ordered Lens Dr the liquid eyeglass repair stuff that you fix horrible scratches so you don't have to buy another pair of glasses. Since figuring this out I have probably spent that much because I didn't notice these charges until now. They are charging me 16.95 and have been since Feb. at least. I am so mad it is ruining my mother's day with my mom. She is sitting in the other room while I try and figure out how I can fix this problem but because it being Sunday no one is answering any phones even my credit card company. So I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow to flip out all over again.

DO NOT LET THIS COMPANY SCAM YOU

If you order something just order that product when they ask you if you want this and that say no. No special speedy delivery or anything besides the product at least that is how I think I got this charge on my account. Who knows I will never order anything online again.

Which stinks because I don't drive and this comes in handy occasionally.

Thanks for listening,
Kim

I just got this value thing in the mail yesterday and I left it on the table. My husband picked it up and asked about it, so I put the address in the computer and came to this. I called [protected] and got it cancelled before I was ever charged thanks to my nosy husband. I am so glad I came across this board first.

Sorry to all who didn't catch this in time

WATCH OUT FOR SCAMMERS!

I recieved a card in the mail saying that I already had $500.00 in Wal-Mart gift cards pending for me to call and get the info to recieve them. When I called they pitched a coupon subscription trial membership. While on the phone I typed in the www.valueplusonline.com website that they had referenced in the convo, only to find gobs of horrible reviews. Thanks to this review board, I'm convinced that I just saved myself a huge financial headache! I just had to cancel my checking account and start another due to being hacked from internet purchases twice in one month, so THANKYOU to all that took the time to write your reviews!

Hey

This is to inform and help you guys to find this fraud company

You are getting calls from india (imetrix solutions pvt ltd (1st floor) above barbeque nation, RUPA SOLITAIRE, Millenium Business Park, Mahape, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra 400710)

Company name: imetrix solutions (situated ghansoli, india)

I started working here as telesales representative and while in training i realised its scam process because they are teaching us about value plus & grocery reward coupons and teaching us all the credit& debit cards types in USA so we can collect the information

And after leaving the job i realised they even fooled the employes working there

As we were told that the customer will be calling us and we have to sell the product but in reality they are using RTF no. ( recycled toll-free no. To get calls)

After the training as i had doubts how can any company give soo many free coupons with so low price and also why only to people who are Americans or with an English name (the process here is only for usa shift)

Than i started to google and got to know this harsh reality

And we were not allowed to carry phones or any kind of electronic device also we were not allowed to even bring a single paper outside the center

So all information i have in my mind if you need any help locating them or any further information feel free to contact i really wajt this scam to stop as i almost about to turn a scammer (unknowingly) today due to this posts here im saved form such a [censored]ty company

No one works here for longer period because people working here don't realise its scam process because of the manipulation

And when they do they feel soo guilty and leave and that is why no one worls there more than 1-2 month

Kim from New Bedford, I was going over my checking account and I found a charge of $27.95 from Value Source. There was a phone number on my account. I called it and they cancelled my subscription. I asked when the money would be put back into my account. He said oh you want a refund and if I wanted a refund it would automatically cancel my order. The number is 800.475.1942.

I hope this will help.

I'm in, they've been scamming us (that's the polite version) for months for 24.95. Dad (86 years old) did something and is now on a fixed income paying these XXX XXXXXX 24.95 every month. Just lock me in a room with these people for 15 minutes. One of us will walk out, no guarantees who but it will only be one of us.

I kept seeing a 19 98 charge on our bank statement and thought my husband was buying something. I never asked until this week. I called to cancel and was told I signed up last October who h was false as my mother was dying and every minute was spent with her. They said my husband probably signed up for me but he don't know how to use a computer. They said they will refund after I fill out paperwork they will send. So far no paperwork! It amazes me the different amounts they charge people. They shouldn't be allowed to operate.

Ordering any product from infomercials is extremely risky because of who these companies hire to take their calls. Any number that is called from the tv to order a product or get information is being answered by another company. Credit card information is sold and personal information is sold to a data bank company and as you know, promises are not kept. Every "additional offer, " which is "Free Rewards Plus, " "Magazines, " etc, the company taking the calls for all infomercials benefits financially with these scams. Anyone who have elderly people in their families need to warn them about buying products on infomercials or even calling numbers from the tv, in order to protect them because that is who these companies prey on.

As with all the other complaints, I am adding mine. Of course I could not access this company's alleged website, www.valueplusonline.com/open/form/40. I then called 1.800.475.1942 (# if you don't have internet access), and s/w "Gina." Gina pulled up my information and said that she sees me as being a 'trial member' ( I have since discontinued my membership). Since she had no answers for the problems with the website, I asked for a supervisor (3/14/2008 @ 4:50 PM EST) and spoke with a man who called himself Elias, Agent # 60948. I told him that there were innumerable consumer complaints against his company and that the website was bogus. He responded that this was the CANCELLATION DESK and that sometimes they have problems with the website. He said that he would gladly send me a FORM and that once received, I should go on the website (here we go again), and I could get the rebate, which works by sending in receipts for gas and then getting reimbursed on a 2 month cycle. He informed me that his company's address is Value Plus, Membership Services, PO Box 5265, Hopkins, MN 55343.

Bottom line is that all of us obviously CANCELED the service and as such, this company believes it can abrogate its advertising guarantees of getting a gift card for just trying the service. Nonsense!

I am a retired Det. Sgt. in New York and a present insurance company fraud investigator. I will start with a complaint to the Attorney General of MN and work my way forward to the Postal Inspection Service.

Value Plus Beware of this scam!

Anyone who has been harassed either by phone or signed up for this without consent, cancel your membership as soon as you can. This company sounds as if they are located in a basement somewhere when you call (you can hear other "customer service representatives" in the background) and they scam you into a recurring transaction of $16.95/mo. When you call, be sure to demand for a cancellation confirmation number (they will insist you wait for the confirmation e-mail that never gets sent), then watch your credit card statements carefully for any transactions that seem suspicious.

Also, a good thing to do (I have Bank of America) is call the customer service # for your credit card. Have them fill out a report with the date you canceled the Value Plus account and the confirmation number you (hopefully) obtained from them. While some credit card companies and banks can't stop the actual transaction, they will at least have written proof that you did cancel your Value Plus account and then fighting any future charges if they happen to slip through the cracks will be far easier. Value Plus rarely, if ever, issues refunds for what money they have scammed from you. Good luck and watch out!

Ok, so beware of this scam, i do not know how they got my bank card info, and could confirm it when i asked questions about it, so i agreed to get this nice deal with a free gas card, ok no gas card, no nothing, so i called my bank and just had them cancel my bank card and i am getting a new one issued. Luckily i only had the charge of $1.00 on my account, and this did not get out of hand. Please beware of this scam and others like it, because this one charge also came with another charge from AP9TODAYSESCAPES on my account too!

I recently ordered something I saw on TV - so I dealt the # to place order abt 6/6/07. After I placed it - they wouldn't stop offering me stuff to try on a trial basis and this ValuePlusOnline was one - and I said yes. It gave a 30 day trial period.

Just received the letter to day on it. Went to websites to get $25 gift card. It is a form to request another form which will take 8 10 wks to get to you - which I think after you filled out that form will take another 8-10 weeks to get to you. So thats a 5 month total. - also they give a $5 gas rebate for each month and that takes 6 -8 wks to get back to you with a check. Then they have the grocery coupons - which you mail them a form and the send the code back to you in about 8-10 wks (no extra money required).

Seems to be a lot of form mailing and waiting for additional info or product. On the website is some deals if they're legit - $25 gift cards from Target, Walmart and some other stores - you pay $20 for it - no shipping or handling. - So it might be a SCAM - didn't see a BBB emblem on their site - Did see a veri sign for ordering those gift cards but that's not a secure sign of trust either.

Value Plus Promises not kept!

I ordered via phone Livigen capsules from Bio-Molecular Solutions and I was charged $2 extra for Value Plus and something else that I don't recall. I received an acknowledgment from Value Plus and was to receive a $25.00 gift card. When I talked with Bio-Molecular to cancel further charges to my credit card, I explained that there was an option to print out a form to get my $25.00 and that I couldn't get it and they took info. on the phone and said I would get the info and would get my $25.00. Nothing - and when I tried to get value plus online, I was told to enter my subscription No. ([protected]) and it told me that it was an invalid No. I have located a form which I intend to send in but do not expect to get the promised $25.00. I might mention that when I sent online there were several complaints that came up about this same complaint. Please address. Thank you.

All you losers, I have tried Proxene ES one of the product from Bio Molecular Solution it is such a great product, I have 4 GF and having fun all day and night. I can't explain it in words how much energy it has given to me. I used to be a guy always falling sick and catching cold but after taking this for 7 months now I have never fallen sick and caught cold. I am rocking at my work got my promotion this week. This product is really good and It made not only look younger but feel at least 20 younger.

To all those negative comments I promise you should have never tried the product or you didn't have enough money to order it... It is like the FOX SAYING OH THOSE GRAPES ARE SOUR...

I have been noticing each month that we are being charged $29.99, twice, on our charge account (total of $59.98) for a product called BMS PROXENEES with a phone number beside the product - [protected].
We have not received any such product. Neither my husband nor I have ordered such a product. I called the number given, and the man who answered said their computers were down, and he said I would have to call back Monday. (Today is Saturday.) I feel this is indeed a scam. I intend to contact my credit card company to tell them not to honor any more charges from that company or any product by the name of BMS PROXENEES. When I asked what the product is he said it was an herbal product. When I asked him what it was for he said it was for several things, like: arthritis, memory, immune system, etc. Thanks to all who have taken time to share their experience with this company. It doesn't sound good, to say the least.

I was skeptical about this Rejuetol myself at first but I was told I needed a knee replacement surgery so this supplement was my last hope.Keep in mind that I had a torn meniscus and couldnt walk at all for one month. After that, I got walking again only to learn that I had a bad limp.It progressed to get worse .After 3 years of limping, I decided to have the surgery, but then I saw this ad for Rejuvetol and figured Id try it first. After 30 days of taking it, I felt much better so I ordered the 6 pack at a better price.Im so glad I did.I quit limping after 4 months and feel 150% better after taking it for the past 10 months.
If anyone has any doubts, forget about them.It works.Just make sure you order the correct bottle of Rejuvetol, It has a picture of a human shoulder on a blue label bottle.DONT go to another site that has the same name on it and sells it for $15.All that is is some other type supplement, beware, thats not correct one for real joint pain!

I received brochure from BioMolecular in which they are selling "Rejuve-A-Joint", which sounds like the descriptions I'm reading here for "Rejuvetol". Same glowing descriptions as what I'm seeing here, different phone number from those I'm seeing here. To me, this is a MAJOR RED FLAG. Thanks to everyone who took time to post their experiences. I appreciate the fact that though so many of you had problems, you were nice enough to share, and keep others from making a mistake.

My father-in-law just received a brochure from BioMolecular Solutions in Manteno, IL. Dr. Ingraham is the spokesperson for the product Rejuve-A-Joint. It does look tempting but after doing some internet research and stumbling across this site while googling for the company's web address which we couldn't find, we won't be ordering. This site just saved us a bunch of credit card hassle I'm sure.
Thank you.

They referenced Stanford University, U.S. Government National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging, CBS, NBC, ABC&CNN. So I did a fast web search and nothing even close to what they were claiming. See below for what Stanford Medical says. Now I've read all the above, it's definite they are scamming

2008 SPRING - Stanford Medicine Magazine - Stanford University ...
However, researchers hasten to add that we don't yet know how to alter human aging. All of the so-called anti-aging products now on the market are snake oil ...

I ordered rejuvetol after receiving exaggerated brochure and paid $179, about @30pr bottle. This was about 9 pm in evening.I then decided to check it out on internet and read all the complaints against this co. I called back and tried to cancel and they said order had already been processed, to call customer service in the morning. I called at 9am CST was put on hold and disconnected twice, then was told the order had already been shipped, but I could put refused on box and send it back. I called credit card co and put them on alert. I was scared because a [redacted] claimed his cr. card had been charged 9 times & maxed out.. Svs lady told me that was because he was on auto ship.I have doubts about product itself because Vitaplus puts out a product by the SAME name with a totally different herb formula at i/2 the price. There are no outside testimonials of effectiveness on either product.Bio-Molecular Solutions does not have a web site and Dr. Ingraham operates out of Nassau, Bahamas. No email acknowlegement was received. Costco and BJ sell a liquid joint compound for $18.95 that has similar formula collagen, glucosamine and choindroitin which I have taken for 3 yrs.Liquid products are more absorbable. I will stick with theirs because I donot trust honesty of this company.

A friend provided me a marketing flyer for Rejuvetol and it looked interesting with interesting ingredients. I called and some woman answered and went into a hard sell pitch trying to sell me a year supply because that was the only way I could get the best price about $25 a bottle otherwise it was about $80 a bottle normally. The "free trial" supposedly cost $7.95 but came with an automatic shipping agreement for $40 a month. I thought that they were just trolling for credit cards so I refused and was tole that the offer only lasted 7 days. I went on line and saw a product with the same name which made me suspicious then I found this website which confirms my concerns. The current phone number that they are using is [protected]

Value Plus Fradulent charges for a year!

I have had the same experience as almost everyone on this board about this problem. I have been charged for almost a year now without noticing it. I cancelled my so called service and received the same information as another person on this website. They couldn't tell me what company was charging my credit card. They also went around in circles as I tried to ask them questions and said that I should have received a packet. Apparently I should still be receiving things, they even had my address on file. I have no more information to give, but want to thank everyone for speaking out about it so that I can send all of this to my credit card company to put in a claim. Oh one more thing I did find a web-site for value plus and tried to send a complaint by e-mail and it never went through, go figure! www.valueplusonline.com

Good luck to everyone.

I took this as a legitimate business, when I called Nationalvaluenetwork.com, however nothing they had promised me has panned out. I signed up for a trial membership to valueplusonline.com, and www.homeplayonline.com for 1.99 and I was to receive a 25$ gift card in return, however when I searched for the website to claim it, all that came up were other customers complaints that they also had been scammed. This is a big time scam and not worth even calling.

I went to ValuePlusOnline.com/open/form/gc after I had purchased some products over the phone. This company Value + says to me after a one dollar fee, they will give me two 25$ gift cards for a free trial up to 14 days to try their products. Which these products were coupons and discounts off purchases for companies around the world. After the 14 day trial they would charge my credit card 14.95$ a month, if not canceled. Well, I canceled and couldn't believe how easy it was. No questions why. Just called the number and told them I would like to cancel and what sounded like a 12 year old girl on the the other line, says to me ok ! and that was it. Well I haven't seen any other charges to my account yet! But where's mt 25$ gift card to walmart and my other 25$ gas card? Who knows, there's no such website to claim them. So much for www.valueplusonline.com!

The infomercials should receive some wrath, also. They made it about impossible to decline this offer. I felt very pressured and angry, however, I wanted to "Go Duster". Again, I guess things should not be ordered from the infomercials. People should not to put up with this kind of high pressure scams!

This was offered to me by a telemarketer offering a $25.00 giftcard including savings between 20% to 42% at restaurants of choice, retail store purchases and etc. Check for the website to claim my $25.00 giftcard and there is no such site listed www.valueplusonline.com/open/form/gc. A so call subscriber number sent to me # [protected] to log on. I called to cancel and they are still billing me on my debit card. As I was checking their website I saw this agency and decided to send in complaint.

I was offered this ValuePlus as a back end sales offer during my purchase of the Ab Rocket. I distinctly recall saying, "No!" to this offer. Yet my account is charged? There method of sales is a scam. ValuePlus is a scam as far as I'm concerned. And the Ab Rocket is a piece of junk which I sent back immediately. J. Adams

I ordered items from an Info mertial and this ValuePlus was offered as a 14 day trial. Cost $1.00 each for two offers. Then after the trial period cost of $19.95 each month. Well the papers took 13 days to arrive. I called the number on the information sheet and canceled the membership. What kind of scam is this? I didn't even get a chance to try it and it was already on my Credit card. I filed a complaint with my Card holder and Value Plus did credit my account the same day that I spoke with them. It seems to be taken care of. The rep on the phone from ValuePlus told me that I could still get my $25.00 gas card but I can't find any place to download any forms etc. to get the gift offered. I tried www.valueplusonline.com/gcform.html like I was told to do. But all I get is this complaint page. The welcome form says to call [protected] to receive the Gift Card Form and other materials by mail. But I'm done with them. They can keep their gift. Beware or extra offers over the phone when ordering anything. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is!

I received a phone call at home offering a free 25 dollar gift certificate for Walmart plus a gas card worth $40... I agreed to the free trial offer at $1.95. Having just received the materials promised from ValuePlus I was instructed to go online at valueplusonline.com/open/form/gc to redeem my $25 gift card. There turned out to be no such site. The materials I received included a coupon for $1000. free grocery coupons which I was instructed to mail to the following address: Value Plus Grocery Savings, PO Box 5034, Hopkins, MN [protected]. I hope that address proves helpful to anyone tracking down this bogus operation.

How to cut this sh...tuff off at the ROOTS? Complain. To the AG, to Sempris, Provell whoever but... and this is KEY... *Complain to the ORIGINAL Company you called* ! If you called in for a weight loss product... a facial cleanser... a cosmetic... a fat reducing belt... a chainsaw... doesn't MATTER... remember WHO you called to get whatever it was you called for... and YELL AT THEM! If you called for a tribute coin, a vacuum cleaner, a pet bed, a closet organizer WHATEVER... those companies are getting KICKBACKS from these rat-b*st**ds!

How do I know/ Trust me. MOST (if not ALL) people pitching ValuePlus, Savings2Go, Shopping Essentioans, AtHome etc etc etc etc ad nauseam... DON'T WORK FOR THEM! They work for a call center hired by the company YOU called to get that magic slushy cut or dust broom or home exercise program or fat loss hypnosis system! But... (and here is where the rubber meets the road) the work-at-home agents are FORCED (on pain of losing their jobs, folks!) to add ON the "affinities" as they are called in the trade. YES we... COUGH! er... I mean... *they* are required BY the FCC to stay compliant with the law (on pain of losing their jobs) BUT... the PRESSURE to sell this ... (words fail me) is ENORMOUS!

IF the companies SELLING the weight loss or slushy cup or exercise thingy or home appliance or whatevertheHell it is THEMSELVES got [censored]ed at... they would STOP! Because it is HELL to get a $300 air-purifier sale... only to have it CANCELLED by a ticked off caller who doesn't want the *^$#! VALUE PLUS ADD ON! Yes, go after sempris, or Provell or whatever these creeps are calling themselves now! Hit them where it HURTS... but ALSO WHACK the companies that ADD these weasels' offers to THEIR, perfectly legitimate products for the bloody KICKBACK! Until THEY stop... the OFFERS won't stop and the phone people who call you CANNOT stop!

Also... if you want to buy something off the TV... your MAGIC WORD (to halt the batsqueeze coming from the poor phone agent) is "CANCEL". Be polite. Be FIRM. Tell the agent "I want to buy the whizzbang slushy-maker. If you offer me aNYTHING MORE, I will *cancel* the order. " You'll be STUNNED by how FAST they get you to the LAST PAGE! Trust me... telephone agents do NOT WANT TO BILK YOU! ... but they are between a rock and a hard place. Time to shut these sons of riches DOWN!

I sell these programs to people like you...tehehehe. You should all know better than not to listen to the people you just gave your cc # to over the phone. No matter how convincing I sound, if I ask you to repeat your cc # again AFTER we've gone through an order confirmation...just don't do it. Duh. Also, I work for a reputable phone sales company...some people don't, their conversations with you are selectively recorded and they don't care if you say no as long as they catch you on recording saying yes. Don't buy stuff over the phone, dumdums! Unless it's from me

I just placed a call to this company to see if i could resolve this "membership" issue. I spoke to a rep. who automatically knew who he was speaking to without me giving him any information whatsoever, not even my name. I told him I would like to cancel a membership, that I wasn't aware I had. He informed me that he had cancelled it in his computer, and then hung up on me! I immediately called back and spoke to a rep named April. She asked who she was speaking with, and then told me their computer system was down, so she could not pull up any account info and asked me to call back in 10 minutes. I called back 2 minutes later, and spoke to another lady, who informed me that I had signed up for something on June 9th (which I am SURE I did not.), and should have received my "membership package" in the mail, and been charged $19.95, 30 days from then. I told her that the first charge i received was on august 13th and was for $21.95, but reguardless of the date/price, I had not agreed to any membership from them, nor had i ever heard of their company! she asked what I would like to have done about this, and I told her I would like my money put back into my account! She said ok, and reversed the charges, which should show in my bank account in 3-5 days. We'll see. If not Provel will be getting a NASTY phone call from me. I was polite the first time, I definitely wont be if i have to call again.

I just checked my bank statment, after trying to use my card and it being declined for lack of funds, because "WC Essentials for home" (aka, provel, vlaue plus... ect.) charged my bank account $21.95 twice. I have never heard of this company before this, nor did I sign up for any "discount coupons" or cards or anything like that. In fact, I have not purchased or signed up for anything online (including trials or what-have you) in well over 3 months. I now have to pay an overdraft fee of $28.00, PLUS I'm out the $43.90 that they charged my account. I understand this isn't a HUGE amount of money, but it is MY money that I worked for, and did not authorize to be taken out of my account. Not to mention the embarassment of having my card declined in public, and the other 3 payments that were supposed to go through, get rejected because of this. I have no idea how they got my information to begin with. I've never received a phone call asking me to sign up for anything, or receive anything by mail or e-mail, and I certainly did not voluntarily give them my information. I am so livid right now. I want my money back and I want them to pay the 28$ over draft fee! I don't know how they are getting away with this complete scam but i DO know that I hope something is done about it, ASAP! before they continue to steal people's money and personal information. Is this not HIGHLY illegal?

Heres what you do if you want to try this program. (you can only do this if you have onlinne access to your credit card) Go ahead and accept their offer and then start looking at your credit card charges everyday. Once the charge for the trial goes through, call your card company and tell them that you lost your credit card. They will issue you one with a new #. Then if the company tries to charge your card it will be the old # and the charge will not go through. But if you recieve the packets and they follow through with their end of the bargain and if it is something you would actually like to participate in, call them and give them the new #

This method puts ALL the power in your hands, which is where it belongs...

Value Plus Website is not accessible!

$40 cash back Gas rebate was promised when I agreed to look at the info. When info was received gas rebate card was not enclosed, but I was told that I had to apply for the Gas rebate card online. When I attempted to access the site on line, the result was that there is no such website. When I called to advise them that the website could not be accessed, they told me to add: form.html instead of: /40form to the end of the logon site. The website was still not accessible. They advised that they would mail out the application but could not explain why I was unable to access the website.

I was horrified to learn that I had been scammed also. Of course, I did not find out until I tried to receive the gift cards. I got hooked in to Valueonline and another "service" because they promised $50 Walmart gift cards for just "trying them out". I had purchased undergarments from an infomercial and was asked about these other deals. Can we collectively report this company to the postal service, or some federal entity for fraud? My biggest concern is that I feel as though my credit card information has been compromised. Of course, I can cancel it but we need to shut them down..PERIOD. Any thoughts?

I logged onto my debit card today and saw a charge for $16.95, from WC Value Plus. I had no clue who this company was. I called the number listed and got the run around how I had signed up for a free trail, but I never signed up for anything. They couldn't tell me, what I had signed up for, or anything else, just that I had signed up for something. I wrote down everything that was said to me, and the Name of the person answering the phone. This is bogus...If I see anymore charges from them, I'm calling the BBB.

I called as well and filed a complaint with the FDC for my situation here in Suffolk county, NY and was recommended to also file a complaint with my Attorney General for my state. If u call the FDC, they will give you the number for contacting your local Attorney general who will send you paperwork to return to help stop this kind of nonsense and somehow reimburse your troubles.

Value Plus How to cancel WC Value plus!

I received call offering a coupon savings book for only one dollar and they already had my information said they were associated w/ visa. It was near Christmas and i thought the saving would be nice so i give it a try. WC VALUE PLUS charged me a dollar never sent anything to me. Month and a half later they charged me another 19.95 for nothing. This is obviously a scam if you have this problem you can call [protected] and cancel your acct.

I have two unauthorized charges made to me credit card by this company. I am not sure how they managed to obtain my credit card number. Thank God I am able to stop the second transaction from going through. The first one did and was reversed. This company needs to be put out of business for their illegal actions of obtaining customers credit number over the internet and using it at their will.

I just discovered I have been the unwitting victim of this company for the last 19 months! They began electronically debiting my checking account for $19.95 each month. Having read the complaints in this website, it appears this is a longterm, widespread scam. I never gave my checkcard number to this company directly, so they somehow ' obtained' my number through some other means. VISA and my issuing bank will only go back 60 to 120 days to issue a provisional refund. The company is in Minn. and their website www.JoinValuePlus.com cleverly exempts residents of their home state from doing business with them. When I called the Attorney General office in Minn. I was told the most effective way to complain is through my own state's Attor. Gen. office since they become an advocate on behalf of their residents in these matters. I was also told to go to IC3.gov online , which I have not yet done, but will do after I finish this letter. So to all those who have been victimized by this outfit, file a complaint with your Attor. Gen. office, the Fraud Hotline, your bank and /or credit card company to get the word out. Also, if your newspaper or a local tv station has a consumer complaint dept. - call them. They may be able to do for you what VISA, MASTERCARD or your bank won't, which is get your money back!

For months I have had unauthorized charges on my credit card from WC Value Plus. I don't not know who they are and never recall signing up for their services. I googled them and thought I canceled whatever account I was being charged for. These charges are still appearing on my account. I canceled my credit card and the charges are still appearing. I am very upset by these charges and this group, WC Value Pus has to be a bunch of crooks. I am having difficulty finding them and need to know how I can get rid of these charges.

I am livid! We just realized that we have been charges $16.95 a month for nearly three years and did not notice it. My husband thought it was my internet provider so did not alert me. We are senior citizens and this is definitely elder abuse. I have called and they said they will send a form to request a refund. I doubt I will get it, but I will try. Who can we report these people to? I will be cancelling my credit card in order to end this abuse.

This ugly company has taken $14.95/month out of my account for almost 2 years. I feel silly having just noticed these unauthorized withdrawals. The "customer service" employees who answer the phone [protected]) are useless. They cannot provide information or documentation as to how they originated these charges.

I work at the bank and was lucky enough to catch this error right away! Just go straight to your bank cancel your card that it was ordered from and if you used your routing number and account number over the computer then you need to close your account and open a new one. If you just put a stop payment there is nothing saying they won't try it again next month.
Good luck to all!

For those who think that people are stupid for not paying attention or catching the mistake sooner, all I can say is I truely hope that you are next and they get you for all you have! So then maybe you will see how horrible these people and companies are that steal hard working peoples money. Show some compassion or you are no better than those stealing these peoples money!

I am very disappointed with this offer. I actually had to call because I didn’t get anything in the mail. I was told it was sent but they would send me another packet. I finally receive it, I go online to claim my gas voucher. Instead of finding the web site I find a lot of comments online on how people felt scammed, never got what they were promised. I immediately call and cancelled my trial, way before my deadline. Apparently other consumers cancelled their trials and still got charged $19.95. Some consumers didn’t even realize till some time later and were charged for months. I canceled immediately to avoid this happening to me. Now I have to worry about whether or not I’ll get charged despite the fact that I did what I was supposed to do.
I tried the www.valueplusonline.com on my browser and finally got to the site. I went to the site, registered, logged in and still was unable to figure out the gas voucher thing. I finally find how to get the voucher, apparently I registered for nothing, When I look at the voucher it is only for $10.00 and I need a member number in order to get my rebate. I DON’T HAVE A MEMBER NUMBER! I DON’T WANT A MEMBER NUMBER! I was told that I would receive a $40.00 gas voucher just for the trial period. I was not told that I COULD receive UP TO $40.00 as a MEMBER! This is false advertising and the reason why people HATE telemarketers.

I have had money deducted from my checking account by Savingsmart.com. At first it was an insignificant amount ($1.00) and I didn't pay attention to it (my mistake). Now at the first of each month (last 3 months) there is a $29.95 charge taken from my checking account. A few days later, there is a $1.00 charge taken. I was notified by my bank that my account was overdrawn and Savingsmart is the reason why. I am going to try to recoup my losses.

Value Plus Hang up on Quality Resoures or Valus Plus

Today, I was attempted to be scammed by Quality Resources/Value Plus organization. The phone number is [protected] from N. Charleston, North Carolina. Beware of PO boxes. Some telemarketer from membership services will answer the phone who knows nothing.

I think I made a purchase recently on-line, unfortunately the company gave out my address, card number and my phone number. They will not give you the name of the company from which they got the information. The company says they will give you $40.00 gas card and save money on all of these great products. All you have to do is authorize to release your credit card for a $1.00 charge. It's a scam. Hang up and report them to BBB or the Federal Trade Commission. I am going to check my credit card and will probably will get a charge on it from ValuePlus.

Hello (name) My name is John Smith and I am calling from Quality Resources because you recently purchased something from one of our marketing partners and this call may be recorded for quality and security purposes and I will be brief. The reason we are calling today is just to let you know as a preferred customer you’re receiving $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers in the mail. These are free and good for one year and you can buy your gas anywhere in the U.S. Now these should arrive in about 2 weeks so please keep an eye out for them, in the same envelope we’re sending the first 30 days of Budget Savers for only $1 dollar. It’s a brand new saving program that will save you money at a couple hundred stores like Home Depot, Target and Best Buy also restaurants like Chili’s, Red Lobster and McDonald’s. This is something we only send to preferred customers so there is no obligation to keep it and nothing to send back. Even if your not interested, make sure you don’t throw away the gas vouchers, the $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers is our way of saying thank you for being a preferred customer.

Remember the 30 day trial is only $1 dollar. It gives you full use of all the discounts. If you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days your benefits would extend automatically for just $24.95 a month again that’s only if you decide to stay a member after the first 30 days. It would be charged to your (Visa/Master Card/ American Express) ending in (last four digits). You can call and cancel anytime, on the toll free number that’s located on the front page. Either way you keep your $50 dollars in gasoline vouchers as a thank you. You still live in (city/state) correct?

Great, before I transfer you to our verification department to read your address back to you and to verify I did my job correctly, do you have any questions? When I transfer you, you’re going to hear a click. It may sound like I am hanging up. I’M NOT! It’s very important that you hold so you don’t get the same call again, ok? Enjoy your $50 dollars in gas vouchers, please hold.

TCPA=Always Attempt / TOL=we will add you to our internal do not call list.
That’s fine Mr. / Mrs. (last name); if you have any questions call [protected]. We are not calling from Visa/Master Card or American Express; we are a company calling you with a discounted offer. Have a nice day.

This is the script they read to you, they changed their name from Value Plus to Budget Savers but its the same stuff.
www.valueplusonline.com
www.budgetsaversonline.com

How it works is you agree to the dollar for 30 days and then get transferred and they up sell you two other packages. They are trial periods.
$1.00 - Budget Savers goes to $19.95/$24.95
$9.99 - Health Package goes to $49.95
$1.99 - Entertainment goes to $ 19.99 (i think)

This sales script is a proven script to make people say yes even when they dont want to, spread the word.

UPDATE: Well... I called my back to let them know of the charges and then called each of the two companies to refund my money. Both of them claimed that I had signed up for a 30 day trial period to which I told them no, I didn't. I then asked if they would refund the charges already made to my account and both of them agreed they would. I have since seen the refunds come across my account so, for the time being, they made good. I will be continuing to watch this account to make sure that they do not put any charges on it in the future.

UPDATE: I just got two charges from this company and one of its partners on my cards... One is directly from Value Plus for $1 and the other is from a place called AMA Health Options for $9.95. Looks like these guys are in for it...

Some other research has turned up that most of their companies come out of Minnesota or Las Vegas. Also, if you call them ASK them to verify your address before verifying yours (A mistake I made). It turns out that for most people they actually have records that are 3+ years old and in some cases don't have them at all!

I will keep this site up-to-date with my dealings... I hope others will see this and not get duped in.

I didn't divulge any info other than the casual "yes, that is my mailing address" and "yes, that is my birthday". Now will also be watching my bank account like a hawk. Heaven help them if they charge me anything... my lawyers will have a field day with this.

FIRST OF ALL CANCEL YOUR CREDIT CARD/DEBIT CARD
I disputed a claim on behalf of my Grandmother. I got over $400 returned to her. I called the customer service number and cancelled the membership. I made a formal complaint to the BBB in Minnesota. I believe she may have ordered something from Haband (a catalog that caters to the older customer). I have also read complaints online from other people that got scammed, and believe that they prey on older customers or people that they do not believe will notice. I believe you call and order something and then the credit card number is transferred to these Value Plus people that talk quickly (most times mumbling or using broken english). I encourage everyone to keep fighting for their money back.

This company fraudulently took money from my account, and thankfully I noticed it immediately. I specifically told the salesman "no." The way to get your money back is to write a letter to the company notifying them of your complaint, your desire to cancel & demand your money back - send it certified mail. Send it to the company responsible for WC Value Plus:

Provell
1100 Wayzata Blvd
Suite 680
Minneapolis, MN 55305

Also send a copy of the letter to the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota [protected]). Their address is:

2706 Gannon Rd
Saint Paul, MN 55116

The director of consumer affairs at Provell/WC Value Plus is Michael J. Murphy. He will probably send a letter back saying that you placed an order & provided "electronic signature authorization" (which is a lie), but they will refund your money.

You can also send a copy of your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup

The FTC cannot get your money back, so it is still important to send letters to Provell & the BBB. But the FTC needs to be notified about these fraudulent business practices.

Be sure to contact your bank after the company offers to refund your money... I had this same crap pulled on me too, a $40 and $19.95 charge was made to my account, I called the company, (one of the numbers above) and they were more than willing to cancel my account and refund the money, I saw the transaction go through that afternoon that they refunded my account. A month later, I wasn't watching my account very closely and I fianlly noticed that they charged me for last month and this month... I'll call them back this afternoon to get them to cancel and refund again and then I'm calling my back directly to tell them not to accept anything else from them...

Thanks for the numbers Again! Hopefully this will become illegal soon and no more of these scams will be possible!

This company is a huge rip-off! They took $16.95 out of my account two different times and had another transaction on hold to come out today! I tool a look at my bank statement online and noticed this charges on my account that I did NOT authorize them to do so! So, be careful ordering anything online because these companies that you actually buy things from in turn sell your name and credit card number to these fraud companies! Here is a valid number [protected]) that I actually talked to someone to cancel my account and reimburse the total amount of money taken out of my account! Good luck to everyone who gets caught up in this kind of scam!

Not only does this SCAM seem to go on endlessly, they have claimed to Chase Bank that there is a contract that we agreed to and are supposedly sending. We changed bank accounts, and now Chase is charging our new account. We are going to switch banks. Just let them try to find us then. Tell everyone you know that this all came about because we ordered the Montele Williams endorsed Juicer system, then started getting workout videos, and now after 6 months find we are part of Value Plus, which we knew nothing about, not even how to use it.

How can the consumer protection agencies allow this to continue. We have reported this activity to the State Attorneys office, and the consumer fraud office for our state.

This is the biggest scam I have ever seen. I stupidly order edthe Crunchless Abs videos as seen on TV and guess what...automatically enrolled in identity theft. They charged me for the tapes and then enrolled me in some repeat mailing that they charged me $40 a month for. I canceled that and then they proceeded to charge me 19.95 every month since January. I just got into a heated argument with them and they agreed to stop charging me, but claim they do not have the authority to reverse charges. I canceled my debit card immediately. I think we need to file a class action suit against these people. They charged money and never delivered any service whatsoever. Not even an email. Who in their right mind would pay this money willingly to a service that does nothing for them. I want to see this kind of service shut down. I work hard for my money, they scam people. It is a sad day in this country when we become complacent and allow this to happen to ourselves as well as other citizens. Anyone interested in actually challenging the system and reclaiming our rights as consumers? What happened to the customer is always right? email me...seyrahughes@hotmail.com

I am in the process of taking a legal action to remedy this situation.
I just found out that like the rest of you, I also got scamed! And that this company was haeen taking $16.95 TWICE a month since November of 2007. And I only found out about it on Saturday. There was a $16.95 charge on my statement. I called the bank and asked what it was from. They said it was from WC. Express and gave me the phone number to contact them. Of course when I called, they were closed. And the website the voicemail provided me with was a fake. My daughter went ahead and googled the 1800 number and brought up all the complaints against this company. After reading them all, I called my bank up and sure enough, I found out that they started taking money out back in June or 07 and since November it's been twice a month.
I finally got in touch with somebody at the company yesterday (4/07/07) and they said they would cancel my suscription. I asked how could they cancel something that I never signed up for in the first place? No response. I asked what the so called membership was for. And she said that I was signed up for two discount services but wouldn't tell me which ones they were. However, she did tell me that one was for discount travel and the other was for discounts for dining and gas. First of all, im disabled and get around in an electric wheelchair. Why would I ever sign up for something for discounted gas?
This is B.S. Almost a year of this, and I haven't recieved one letter or anything else from this place.
