Lipostructure Fat Grafting / TriBeCa Plastic Surgery review: Terrible experience 6

I have to write and respond to the many comments and cries for help written here. I also have been damaged by Dr. Coleman and his staff. I underwent fat transfer under my eyes and am now left with mini sausages under each eye. This experience has changed my life forever. I am an attractive woman and now will not go out without wearing glasses in attempt to hide the damage done. After two more surgical procedures to correct what was done to me, I was dismissed as a patient and told that I should seek other plastic surgeons who might be able to help me correct the damage that DR. COLEMAN created. I sympathize with the other woman who is the actress left with the sausage look under her eyes. I am sorry for us both and all the others who have expressed themselves here at this site . Very sad and unbelievable. I cannot even imagine how this man sleeps at night . I am dismayed and heartbroken. I liked him initially and trusted him. I cannot believe how many people he has hurt! May God bless and forgive him.

I have to laugh at the person (aka Anna Smith) who is trying to defend Dr. Coleman here. How can she say there are no photos when they are posted in several places on the internet. I found them, why can't she? It doesn't take much work to find them. Yes, someone periodically gets the photos removed, but thanks to Corey's diligence she gets them put back up. I thank her for that determination. Perhaps it will get this guy banned from ever performing another procedure on anyone else. He should not be practicing. And there ARE others who have posted complaints about Dr. Coleman. I found them on...so apparently Ms. Smith isn't trying too hard . Go to Realself.com for instance. There are several complaints there regarding Dr. Coleman listed under fat transfer reviews. Look under "negative" reviews and you will find them. Again...I did. I think Ms Smith is being disingenuous with her comment and has an obvious agenda of her own. Relative, friend, or employee of Dr. Coleman's perhaps?

I met with Dr. Sabiero (the other doc that works under Coleman). She used me as her personal guinea pig. To remove the fat under my eyes, she injected me with something called lipodissolve (a new substance that is supposed to dissolve fat). It did not work and the swelling around my eyes stretched out my skin making it worse than before. Then she injected me with a steroid which did not work. Then she told me I should have surgery to correct my eyes. THANK YOU to you brave women who are speaking out against these doctors. THANK YOU for warning me about Tribeca Plastic Surgery. I am so grateful that you shared your experience here. I was scheduled for surgery with these monsters. I cancelled my appointment and I will never go back there again. I'm so sorry that these ### hurt you. If they spent the rest of their days rotting in prison getting plowed up the ###, only then would justice be served.

I have had an awful experience as well with Dr. Sidney Coleman. I had fat injected under both eyes. He said it would be minimal since all I wanted was to look a little more rested. Now 3 years later I'm dealing with fat tissue or scar tissue or whatever is sitting under my eyes. ( he says he doesn't know what it could be) Making me look older than when I walked in. I'm an acteress and this has affected everything in my world. Since now I have what looks like a sausaging effect under my eyes when I smile. Even if I smile ever so slighty, it forms.
Dr. Sidney Coleman has tried to fix it with a suctioning and breaking up and most recently mesothearpy. But to no avail there has been no improvement. He even tried using a steroid which helped a bit at first then it became indented and then inflated back to it's original bad state.
In turn it's made me extremely insecure and depressed. I have not booked any jobs in the tv or film arena. I now am in search of a doctor that could correct this.
I am in a very desparate place to find resolution in this and put it all behind me. If anyone could point me in some direction to get help to have it removed, I appreciate it so much.

The patient physician relationship is one of the most sacred in our society. It is legally protected and it forms the basis of successful and in some cases life saving partnerships in medicine. But when it goes bad, it can be bad.

Recently, in the world of plastic surgery attack blogs and complaint boards have come about denouncing practioners and “botched surgery”. Proponents argue that internet web blogs and sites serve as a warning or information source to patients. Detractors state that it represents an unregulated and often unsubstaniated attack. You can guess which side the doctors and which side the patients fall on.

Take the case of Dr. Sydney Coleman, a board certified plastic surgeon in New York (www.lipostructure.com), who has a seriously unhappy patient. As reported by Jim Leonardo of Plastic Surgery News, a publication from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, “The trouble began shortly after Dr. Coleman performed corrective plastic surgery on the patient, who, after leaving the recovery room, was never again seen by the physician or his staff. Several weeks later, however, the patient telephoned the practice insisting that Dr. Coleman pay his airfare from Chicago to New York for a follow-up appointment - and if Dr. Coleman refused, he threatened to use the Internet to damage his practice.”

By report, Dr. Coleman declined to pay the airfare and the patient created a website decrying his treatment and outcome. Because the patient initially used Dr. Coleman’s name as part of the website address Dr. Coleman sued to get it back (see the National Arbitration decision in July 2006 here: http://domains.adrforum.com/domains/decisions/743682.htm ).

But that wasn’t the end of it. The patient re-registered a second name and reposted the website. And then, cleverly paid for advertisement placement of the site.

A little more research into this site confirms any practioner’s worst fears. There’s a lot of negativity. And there are a lot of claims, but not a lot of data.

The site states “Recently, a website associated with Dr. Coleman has posted a direct response to our support group website and suggests that the information we are providing is not accurate. As a result, we will soon be posting detailed information about malpractice lawsuits and other complaints filed against Dr. Coleman.”

Perhaps not suprisingly however, years later the site still remains empty about numbers of malpractice suits, complaints or unhappy patients. More troubling for those trying to find where the truth really lies is the patient him (or her) self has not even posted their _own_ pictures
