Metro by T-Mobile overcharged for three months

In the month of October 2016 we had five phones with Metro pcs. but only four phones were working. We let them know in the store and tried to get the phone to work in the store but the phone still did not work. So we took the phone off the account. Now for the next two months we were charged for five phones since the month of October in the amount of $170.00 dollars. we made a complaint about this to the 1800metropcs after going into the store with the manager. when he returned he let us know that they would take of $40.00 for this month. Our complaint is what about the other months we were plainly overcharged $40.00 per month.

Metro by T-Mobile rebate scam

On 10/25/2016, I submitted an online rebate form to metropcs for a $50 rebate on my phone. I filled out the form completely with my contact information, imei number and my purchase receipt. They said it would take up to 12 weeks for me to receive it. After I submitted the form, I received an email with the information to track my rebate.

Today, 1/9/2017, I decided to check on my rebate and found out it was denied on 11/1/2016 and they claim a denial letter was mailed. This is a total lie, because I never received such letter.

The reason for the denial, as stated on their website, was "the receipt you submitted is not from a qualifying purchase location. " this is also a lie, because I purchased the phone from the metropcs website and I provided the same receipt I printed from their website.

I tried calling the toll free number for "rebate questions" provided on their website at 8:30am and I heard a message they were closed. The information of the website states they operate "monday-friday 7am-7pm cst". Well, it's monday 7:30am cst and they are closed. Another lie.

I finally contacted them via "live chat" and I was told the reason for the denial was because "i did not provide the imei information". Damn, another lie, because the imei was provided when I filled out the online form, which I am looking at my copy and the information provided was correct.

These lies, after lies and after lies, lead me to believe they are trying to scam their customers from their rebates. The scam seems very clear to me, because they are banking on the following:

- most people fill out the form and hope to receive their rebate within 12 weeks. The assume they are dealing with a serious and honest company.

- not everybody bothers to check the status of their rebate, because they don't have time, they have deleted the email or have misplaced the information.

- most people don't even know their rebate has been denied, because they never received the denial letter. Metropcs doesn't even send a "denial email", because most people would see it and read it.

- after 12 weeks, most people don't even remember about the rebate.

- even after knowing about a "rebate denial", some people don't want to deal with too much hassle and give up on their claim.

- metropcs has discovered the perfect recipe for a scam. That explains the 12 week processing delay.

- why don't they offer an "instant rebate" instead of putting their customers through such a hassle? The answer is simple, their scam wouldn't work.

During my "live chat" today, I had to provide the imei information again and I was told I will get my rebate in 8-12 weeks. That is absurd!

I will be filing complains with all applicable consumer protection agencies and request an investigation into metropcs rebate scam.

Metro by T-Mobile customer "service"

Not even 1 star. I called c/s to ask about my move from FL to VA but I kept FL phone number with FL area code. I asked if I called 9-1-1 would it call FL instead of VA? The c/s rep had no clue thought that 9-1-1 was my area code. She then said I should have read my user agreement to get the answer!

Well they are located in the Philippines no wonder they don't understand what 9-1-1 is.

I went to YouTube and got the answer to my question ... step by step instructions on how to change your address for the 9-1-1-1 service to call correct EMS location.

But wait ... there's more!

I called c/s next day to tell a supervisor that their c/s reps are clueless. I explained briefly the issue and asked for a super. She put me on hold a brief time. got a few cliks and then the anoying wait music. Finally someone talked to me who had the SAME VOICE as the person I spoke to first, claiming to be a Super. I began to repeat my issue and she HANGS UP.

I waited a few mins, got cup coffee and called again to get my message to them. Nice guy took my call, listened, and put me on hold ... CALL HANGS UP.

If you want help with your phone go to a store (maybe they will help if you are under the age of 30 if not they treat you like you are mentally challenged and talk to friends on their cell phone while they are helping you).

OR

"dial" Youtube with key words for your issue.

Jus' sayin'

Metro by T-Mobile asurion

Metro PCS sales lady in Knoxville, Tn. Lied about the phone Insurance. She told me I would get a NEW phone no matter what happens to my phone! So, I damaged my phone, paid $200 and a year of Insurance payments and in the end they send me a REFURBISHED phone. Wasted two hours with 4 transfers and then in the end they said, no guarantees you would ever get a NEW phone. Don't buy the Insurance if you do purchase a phone from Metro PCS. Bait and switch and there is nothing you can do about it. They just shut down your complaint! Shame on them and yes it is a SCAM from ASURION the Insurance company. Everyone is in it together and just out to get your money!

Metro by T-Mobile rebate denied

Opened acct for cell phone and was to be given 2 free phones but store had none but I was told if I purchased a phone there was a special with $50 rebate the phone was $169 and I had to take the $60 plan for one month to qualify which I did.

I just got notice that I am not getting rebate because I had to get free phones activate them then buy a phone and activate it to qualify. I did not get the free phone and now they don't want to give me the free phones or my rebate.

I have contacted them talking to different people with each person having a different story and was told by manager of the corporate store in queens, ny where I live that I should have gotten a free phone.

Now I only had the phone four days and I have to ride buses to get around but the store I bought the phone from is walking distance.

Metro by T-Mobile everything

So I bought a new phone which they charged me $27.00 to activate only to tell me"Sorry this device is still active on another account we can't use it", they refused to give me a refund on the activation charge! F****RS! Then, I tried buying a new phone in the store but they said I wasn't eligible for the discounted price because I had bought a different phone too recently, what I explained to the fu**ers is that I didnt just buy my most recent phone I only had it re-activated on the line because I had that phone for over a year. Nonetheless their 'system' controls everything and the dumb f*ks running the counter have no authority over that 'system'. F*K YOU METROPCS

Metro by T-Mobile phone service

I bought a Metro PCS phone with the one month service plan of $45. I didn't pay for the next month due to financial reasons. I thought this was a month to month plan after disconnection you can pay again for services for that month. They called and asked for two months payment after I had already paid for that month. They threatened to cut the phone off after having it on for 13 days. I paid for the whole month. After arguing with them, I said you haven't even prorated the month I've paid for, so how can you disconnect my phone. After putting me on hold, then they agreed to the prorated amount asking me just to pay $14.00. I agreed, but then I thought about it and didn't. For one, I didn't agree to any plan that tells me when, or how to pay. I bought the phone and the service at a local gas station. They still disconnected my phone after paying the full amount.

Metro by T-Mobile cant pay with debit card online

I switched to Metropcs on August 19, 2015...worst decision ever! I paid for and activated my new Metropcs phone with my debit card. When it comes time to pay for September, on Saturday, the 19th.I couldn't get them to accept my debit card on their website (mind you there was over 500.00 dollars in my bank account) So I call them and they were unable to run my card without a 3 dollar "convenience charge" what a scam...I finally got them to run it without charging me the convenience charge and they were also unable to get it to go through. They inform me to call my bank and or MasterCard, which I did. Now again, mind you, I paid my electric, gas, and water bill the same day with same debit card. Bank and MasterCard says they don't have a problem with my card. So...again I try calling metro back and I'm told to go into one of their locations and pay there. Number one, I don't drive so this was a pain in the @#! Number two the location closest to me always has their open sign on but I went there 3 different times and no one was there. SO...I go all the way across town to another location and guess what? They couldn't run my card either...BUT for 3 dollar "convenience fee" I could pay cash...ok well then I have to pay a cab or gas money for someone to go all the way across town again to my bank because it costs me 5 dollars to withdraw from ATM locations. In the mean time the lady with customer service said she would keep my phone activated for 48 hours so I could find a ride, etc... THEY DIDNT ! On Sunday, September 20th, my grandmother passed away and no one could get a hold of me to let me know. I decided then and there to dump Metro PCS...I also have had this number for 3 years and I have lots of job applications out that wont b able to reach me...I'm going back to Boost Mobile...never had a problem in 3 yrs. Metro is a hassle and a joke and customer service is the worst I ever dealt with (besides Comcast) Leave them alone !

Metro by T-Mobile strange phone calls and emails

I started to get different emails and phone calls from the company Metropcs Inc. Some of the emails and messages were empty and no text. When they phoned, there sounded music and it looked very suspicious and strange for me. I found the details of this company and already contacted them, but I haven’t received any response still. It really bothered me. Any ideas what has happened?

Metro by T-Mobile my phone and account was stolen and put in someone elses name

I opened an account with my wife with metro PCS on January 24, 2014, I let my step daughter use it since she has mental issues. I have since found out that the account has been switched out of my wife’s name and into my step daughter’s name without our consent. There has also been high security placed on it. The phone is being used with my wife’s name and the person using It is representing themselves as my wife. I want to close the account. My wife has gone to the store where we opened it with the original receipt, the handset sales promo form, the IMEI card, the original service request and original terms and conditions of service form. She was told that we would need to speak with corporate. I spoke with several people at corporate who said they can’t help me. I finally spoke with Lois Ann ID # 60653 who not only continued to tell me the account was no linger mine, she also continually twisted my words to fit her script that would tell me the account was no longer mine. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she told me repeatedly that she was the manager and didn't have a supervisor. I then asked who gave her a raise and she said I can send a letter and proceeded to give me an incorrect address to mail the letter. I asked her 3 times to repeat it and I repeated it back to her. While I was talking to her I looked up the corporate complaint address online and knew she was lying. I am extremely disappointed with the level of care and professionalism that I have been shown. My account was stolen and no one seems to care. Further to that I have been lied to and I don't appreciate it. Please let me know how to proceed

Metro by T-Mobile rude, unprofessional, broke my phone, did not finish job and charged me full price

On 8/8/15, I took my iPhone5 to have the screen replaced as well as the back of the phone as they were both cracked. The spanish/white/chubby guy in the front advised me that it will get fixed (tried to take my money up front $95 plus tax) and advised me that the technician was off on Saturdays but that he would be in on Monday, 8/10/15, for me to call on the afternoon of 8/10/15 to see if my phone was ready. He gave me a ticket # of 4500 that I had to have to be able to pick up my phone. I advised him that I would pay AFTER the phone was fixed, he said no problem. I explained to him that I wanted the phone (front & back) white as my phone was currently black. He said, "no problem, the only thing that will have to stay black is the home button as we cannot replace those". I said that was fine. I left.

On Monday morning I called the store when a girl answered the phone, asked for my ticket#, she then advised me that my phone was not ready yet but to call back at 5pm. I called at 5pm, no answer. I must have called about 20 times. My husband was close by therefore, I asked him to please pick up the phone for me. He did not know any details about the phone. He simply picked it up and paid. When he got home with the phone, I noticed that the back was never changed, they left it black AND BROKEN. 2 days later, I see that the screen (the front supposedly fixed ) started to lift, almost as if it were glued on. I NEVER DROPPED THE PHONE AS IT AS IN MY CASE. I had to take the case off because it was causing the screen to keep lifting even more. I work in Palm Beach County and have a newborn, therefore I did not have time to return to the store until 8/19/15.

I got to the store at approximately 6:30pm on 8/19/15. The same spanish/white /chubby guy was behind the desk. I explained to him that it hadnt even been over a week and showed him my phone. He replied with "I remember you and it has been 2 weeks". I proceeded to explain to him that it hasnt been 2 weeks and that I wasnt happy with the service that I got as my front screen was falling apart ON TOP OF them not following through wiht the job (after I paid it in full) with them not replacing the back of the phone. He advised that they dont replace the backs of the iphones. I then asked him then why did he tell me it would be done and I stated to him that if I knew they didnt fix the back, I wouldnt have left my phone there that day to only wait 3 days to get it back on tops of paying the full price of $95 plus tax. I asked for the manager.

Atiba came out of the back room. I explained to him the same situation I had explained to the guy that had taken my phone and was now telling me he couldnt do anything about it. He was EXTREMELY RUDE talking over me saing he cannot do anything for me. That "I should have checked the phone when Ipicked it up". He then said "all I can do is charge you $50 and fix it again but I cannot do it today". I told him there was no way I would pay more $ when it wasnt even fixed properly & entirely in the first place. He basically started walking away from me saying" oh well" (there were other customers there while all of this was happening. I asked for my $ back or at least to fix it PROPOERLY for free. He VERY RUDE:Y declined. and I left.
