FreedomPop sim cards

Freedom pop Management team

Subject: - $321 has been deducted from my account even I have not used service for a second.

I am Rupesh Kumar, I have ordered 3 SIMs from Freedom pop, for free trial, I have not received the SIMs however $321 have been deducted from my account even the SIMs were not used or activated. this is frustrating, and I am not ready to pay $321 for nothing.

I have opened two incidents: -
1) 190715-000218
2) 190715-000017
However, my query was not resolved, I want to terminate my services and $321 should be refunded.

Also, please let me know if I need to further escalate this issue, as I am not ready to pay $321 for nothing.

Also, please me know if any other information needed from my end on this.

FreedomPop sd card

Hello seller of freedom pop,
i never agreed to anything but a trial, of which i did not receive. Yet u took .01, 4.99 & 98.88 out of my bank... U have not responded to my cancellation & refund but only after i told u i did not receive the item & i will not pay for something i did not receive, u then took almost 100 out of my account... Wth? now u need to refund my money, u can clearly see that no activity is in use... And never was! how can it when i got nothing yet... Thank goodness that i messaged u within your trial period so therefore every penny u took from me needs to be refunded right back... I again did not authorize any of those transactions and you should feel ashamed to be in business. Bbb, paypal & banks are being notified of your actions & u just might be facing a class action lawsuit very soon if you have not already!

FreedomPop free cell phone service

I had this service for three years. There were no problems in the past years- I used to go on google maps, on yourtube, check emails etc and I was still within the limit. This year however I don't use internet at all, just texts most of the time. I had few unauthorized fraudulent charges from freedompopthis year which I let go but this one today just ended my patience. They run some activity in the background claiming that it is need for the account ? it started this year. I almost don't use the phone and still for that they want to charge me $20 today saying that I topped my account. I emailed with them back and fort in the past trying to explain and got nowhere. They claimed everything is OK. So- the limit I've got for my free account per month is:
200 minutes talking- I used 5 minutes
500 text messages- I send 146.
500 MB of data- I used 0 but they claimed I topped off.
I did not use any internet data at all. My plans end date is the 17th every month. Today they again decided to take $20 from my credit card. This is not right, I stopped the charge and I'm not going to pay for nothing, there is no reason for that. I don't know what happened with them. The limit in my free account is more than enough for me but they need to stop to try to still my money. Otherwise -since thy are still advertise free service this is a false advertisement and in reality they are in business of stilling peoples money and not delivering what they advertise.
My freedompop cell phone number is [protected] and my email is [protected]@hotmail.com if you need some more information.

FreedomPop unauthorized charges. no account with this company

I was charged $101.09 on my credit card for service I never had with this company. I have not been able to call and talk to a human regarding this matter. I talked to someone who says they would transfer me to billing, and will reroute me back to the sales department or hang up on me. Update since complaint: I was sent a message through Facebook messenger finally and they are saying I had a delinquent acct. But will not provide me proof of service or usages to prove this.

FreedomPop phone service, charges

I recently acquire Freedompop service and once I found it is not to the standard I converted to their FREE LTE plan, being unaware they charge me $20 for one SIM and charge total $40 for 2. Then found out apart from that they charged me additional $3.99 for some service and I cancelled immediately those service.

When I ask them to refund they not happily refunded that money so I open the dispute case with Paypal and later then refund my money after accepted that service was cancelled. However, next day they cancelled my both SIM and also holding my $40. When I see the cancellation I file again Dispute to Paypal and now trying hard to collect that money. They are not interested to pay me back they are stating why I file the dispute.

Well if you charge me something and not give the service so why not I dispute that.

You have no right to keep money. Freedomop harming customers day by day, I saw so many victims on Facebook and not sure how does such company is in market.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

FreedomPop phone service

This company is the epitome of a SCAM.
It is not worth the hassle.
The phone barely works on the free plans, so we prepaid one year for $80 for unlimited talk and text. The service was not great: calls are often dropped and the phone does not keep a charge for very long. You can also not send or receive photos. Then the phone stopped working at about 8 months in; it turns out you have to pay $6 and change to turn off auto-top off. They have been charging me $15/week for data and when I questioned them and asked them to go back to the original plan that was PREPAID, I was told that I had to pay to stop the auto-top off. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the guy in India hung up on me. I had waited on hold for over 20 minutes to talk to that guy. Now when I call back, an auto-mated message tells me that there's an issue with my billing and that I have to go to the website, so now I can't even get someone on the phone. This company is wrong down to the core. Stay as far away as possible.

FreedomPop sim and apn scam, route

After I saw the FreedomPop commercial on it TV it never left my mind. I had gone to their website browsed around, and I started seeing more pop ups on my screen because of that. So finally one day I clicked on that ad and decided to get a SIM for my ZTE phone which I previously had with Page Plus, who really got my service messed up and again had the usual confusing confusing. First off, FreedomPop claims that if you got the SIM card directly through their website your phone should be ready to go. When things go wrong and you need help their offices are closed and you can't reach anybody. You can't do much on their website with your account if you don't have your password correct and it's a miracle that I got my working. The next day I probably called them about 5 times for head of which I was hung up on because my phone number and account number wasn't recognized, and then all the sudden! the rep couldn't hear me. You also have to submit for and otain a return authorization. That they don't respond to. You can't get the return address unless they do, so it seems. So being the envelope that my SIM card came in, so surreptitious with their Shipping Department's Poway address- California... where I sent it back to, the very next day. Company name wasn't even on the shipment envelope, a standard white none. Thank goodness my bank is Capital One, they're really really good in these sorts of cases. I told them what happened with fp, that I returned the item that cost a funny 19.95 and they got started on refunding me, just in case FreedomPop balked.

FreedomPop freedom pop cell phone service

Purchased 3 month card from best buy not able to get it to work with phone, already had data and 3 days used on card when I activated. I took card back to best buy, they said would have to contact freedom pop. Call them 3 times transfered to voice message wanting me to pay for live support. I am wondering if this is a normal practice for them, is this company allowed to essentially steal from customers and not provide info on contacting customer service, why should I have to pay to someome to address issue with new service. I WOULD LIKE A FUND BUT HOW DO ALL GET MY MONEY BACK?

FreedomPop internet

I decided to give FreedomPop a try on home internet, but as soon as the call ended, I had a question I'd forgotten to ask.I immediately called back and got a runaround and was met with rudeness.

After over 15 minutes of that I determined as this was just the start, it wouldn't get any better. So in less than 30 minutes of the order, I canceled. I was told it would take 3 days to process the refund. Three days later and it still has not processed.

In addition, a day after cancelling, they shipped the equipment anyway. So I'm getting equipment tomorrow, that I'm going to have to return in order to get my refund I'm sure, and I won't be surprised if shipping is at my expense. And it amazes me that I now can no longer reach them. Sales says I'm a customer and won't talk to me.

They transfer me to support. When I tell them support is automated and wants my phone number to connect me and says I don't have an account, they just say I do and transfer me anyway, or just outright hangup. I even asked for cancellations, same thing happens. They won't answer my emails either.

I have already begun multiple online complaints, including the BBB and FTC, and I've spoken with my bank and intend to go in and close my account tomorrow and open a new one so there will be no further charges, and my bank will open a dispute on the funds. I will just toss the shipment they underhandedly sent.

I intend to make this costlier than the $45 they ripped off of me, by the time I'm done.

FreedomPop unethical business practice

In November of 2016 I purchased 2 Wifi hotspots, Mifi® 500 4G LTE by Novatel Wireless from the company FreedomPop.

I also purchased their Premium 4G plan for both devices as well.

For several months I had exceptional service, that worked fairly well in most environments until July/August of 2017. The service deteriorated to 3G to only displaying 1 out of 4 signal bars. Rendering the device to not be able to surf the web or even download files due to extremely poor speed.

As of December 8th of 2017 I filed a complaint with my dissatisfaction of the service via email. I had previously called their company several times with absolutely no answer. Even going as far as to make a visit to their office in West Los Angeles during normal business hours on a Tuesday at 3 pm with no one even being there at the premises.

As of December 11, a representative, Christian P, finally responded:

"It is our understanding that you are unable to get support and that your device only shows 1 Bar of signal. I'm sorry to know this situation but I'll be glad to help you out."

Furthermore giving me the same number I called several times with no answer.

Another attempt to contact them was made December 26th in which I spent exactly 30 minutes on the line with absolutely no answer.

I was finally able to reach them December 27th, being told that one of the devices was suspended due to them not being able to bill the account, however the bill was already paid for December and not due until January. I had placed a temporary block on the account due to lack of communication on their end.

I have tried to withdraw my credit-card information as well as my wife's, however the system has kept all the information. They claim to be no contract, no commitment & able to cancel anytime, but have been nothing but fraudulent the entire duration of this episode.

FreedomPop lte sim kit - 3-in-1 - voice/data bundle

I've been a sort-of FreedomPop customer for several years as having a free mobile backup service was appealing to me. I tried to be very careful about downgrading my services before being charged. I also tried to keep within my allocated minutes/data usage to avoid extra charges as well.

Most recently, I received notification from FreedomPop that I had to change to a new sim card to continue to use the free sim card services (due to network upgrades). I received the new sim card with the various first month free usages. After 2 weeks I downgraded my service so that I could continue as a free customer. Unfortunately, there are 2 services that need to be downgraded and I only downgraded one of them.

I was not paying close attention to my account or charge card bill and just realized that I had been charged $7.99 for the past 3 months. I wrote customer support about the issue, twice, but could not get them to agree to a refund either full or partial.

So, I'll join the ranks of unhappy previous customers who are tired of the difficulties in trying to keep on top the crafty ways that FreedomPop tries to find to make sure you pay something for this service.

Specifics:
I signed up for: LTE SIM Kit - 3-in-1 - Voice/Data Bundle
The item that I did not downgrade was: FreedomPop Phone Premier
The item that I did downgrade was the "data plan". The above service is considered an additional service that must be downgraded separately.

FreedomPop it's a fraud

If they promise you to give something for free, be careful then. Because maybe they really can provide something as a present, but you will find a lot of hidden fees for absolutely everything you would like to have added, so it will never be free. Never.
Moreover, you will never find it out until you check your bank account, they never notify their customers about future payments and sudden charges.
Very unfriendly guys. No recommended.

FreedomPop free internet is bs

Their free internet is BS! From May to October 2017 I was charged just over $300! I disputed one monthly charge of $29.98 with my credit card and was reimbursed. The next day I received emails from Freedom Pop stated my account was cancelled and they were sorry to see me go!
Just before I joined I read that once you sign up, go to your account and choose the "Free Plan". There was no such thing! The lowest plan was $13.98, which is fine cause all I need is limited access. I found out I was being charged both amounts per month. In the beginning I bought 1 Wi-Fi device for $19.98, then after checkout was offered and bought another for $9.98. Once received and connected, I would receive emails stating: "We're adding $15 to your account so your service won't be disrupted". All these amounts add up quick!
