Gigats job application

I was trying to apply for a job. I was forced to fill out forms to get free stuff, insurance quotes and school information even though I said NO to as ill questions. I had to "choose" an item Could not proceed unless I did so I choose and I still did not get to apply for the job. The screen kept going to the next thing Gigats wanted me to accept. My phone and emails are now blowing up with these things for car insurance, go back to school even when I said NO. I will do. Old school and mail my resume in and HOPE the company reads it. Very sad a company will push themselves on people to take their offers when all they want to do is apply for work. If a person says NO then they should proceed to the job application site not be harassed.

Gigats Total scam, only high pressure to go to school no jobs

I applied for an online job apparently through Gigats, don't even remember what it was since I had applied for so many. Got a test message to call their number about the job. Ignored it the first time then called the number the second time. From the start of the call the employee named Will talked down to me and just kept pressuring me about school. I told him four times I was not interested but he just did not let up. I hung up on him and he called back, I told him I hung up on him because it was just a high pressure tactic to get people to go back to school. He still forwarded me on to a another person whom kept pressuring me about school and what degrees he could see me in. Just an absolutely ridiculous experience that you could not even hang up on the person.

Gigats Obvious scam

I answered a job offer via email. Received a call from "Will." He seemed odd in his questions and explained that he would work very closely with me and ensure that I got a job. He said he would be referring me to "Mike" who would question me about educational opportunities and he asked me to be polite to him (very odd). He said that he would be emaiiing me with job applications for several positions after I had completed speaking with "Mike." Mike asked me to verify my acceptance of phone calls from various educational institutions, which I did. I never got any emails but I did get a all from a university representative. I explained that she had obtained my number via a job scam from Gigat and she said that she would remove my record from her database of numbers.

Gigats Scam

I applied for a local job through Clear Fit. Shortly afterwards I started getting emails from Clear Fit with job offers. I thought the hourly wage seemed high but I applied for a position and was directed to Gigats.com. I was told to set up a phone interview. I received numerous texts the day of the phone interview. When I called I got a recording, once I spoke a person came on the line. He called himself Will. I asked about the company and he could not give me a straight answer. I realized then it was a scam. I researched Gigats on line to find others had the same experience. This company does NOT have job opportunities. I called him back and asked to be removed from there Database. He said to go on line and unsubscribe, which I cannot do since I don't get emails directly from Gigats. I informed him I would be reporting his company to Consumer Reports & FBI and hung up. He immediately called me back and acted like we must have got cut off and wanted to continue the interview. Beware ! [protected] and [protected] beware of these phone numbers. This is a scam !

Gigats Job application hijacked by Gigats

I was filling out an online job application for an open position in my local area (which was supposedly being submitted to the Act-1 Employment Agency, and Gigats hijacked and intercepted my online submittal. Masquerading as Act-1, the online tool prompted me to enter a phone interview time to supposedly pre-qualify me for the position. I then called that phone number at the scheduled time, and spoke with "Will" who kept repeating himself and was pushing for me to commit to furthering my education. He refused to discuss the actual job that I had just applied for and kept saying an email would be sent to me with all the information I needed. I began to suspect he might not even be a live person, might have been a well-programmed IVR voice response system recording. He kept me on the phone for 20 minutes and never discussed the job, never asked me questions to "prequalify" me for the job, just kept pushing for a commitment to advance my education. Now I'm worried that I will be baraged with junk emails and phone text messages trying to sell me on an educational institution. I don't even know if the Act-1 Employment agency ever actually received my application!

Gigats Gigats.com Scam!!!

Gigats.com is a TOTAL SCAM! I went online to a job fair website and gigats.com commandeered my application process. In the middle of the application process I was halted by a message instructing me to call [protected]. After 45 minutes of taking down my information, the representative refused to give me her name and direct phone number and swore she would send it to me in an email along with the direct link to the job I was applying for. She asked me to hold on while she connected me to her “supervisor” who turned out to be someone trying to get me to sign up for colleges when I specifically told the rep I was not interested in talking to college recruiters! I called them back THREE TIMES! The representative claimed she couldn’t help me without the original interviewers name and phone number… WHICH SHE NEVER SENT ME IN THE FIRST PLACE! She continued for 10 minutes her semantics and kept me in a perpetual loop of nonsense that got me nowhere! GIGATS.COM IS A SCAM; DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!

Gigats Unprofessional

Spent over an hour online filling out and applying for a job through Gigats.com, only to be told I must call a phone number to verify the info. I then waited nearly 30 minutes to speak to someone on the phone who was "unable" to locate my telephone number or info I already spent an hour providing. I was told to redo my information and call back again after! I don't even know if they bothered to accept my application for the job I applied for! I will now apply for that position in person on my own without this unprofessional nonsense. Thank you Gigats.com for wasting a total of 2 hours of my life!

Your right. I didn't research them because I didn't plan on signing on with them. I don't normally use others for my job hunting. I was simply applying for a job directly with an employer (so I thought) when this popped up on my computer and said I needed to sign up in order to finish my application. Turns out the job I was applying for doesn't even exist anymore! Total scam! Live and learn.

Gigats False Job Opportunities Scam

I signed up with these fools thinking it was a legit service based on word of mouth from a friend of mine looking for a job as well. After the 3rd or 4th application I filled out on separate websites, I realized that their system wasn't as useful as they claimed. I was then given a job of the day from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and was like...wait...what? It took me to a site where you were supposed to pay a subscription fee to be able to access job postings and apply for them. After that I unsubcribed to every single site that I had given my info to through gigats.com. They also have a university calling me up about taking classes which I'm actually interested in, but I can't afford to do so without a job. Avoid at all costs if you're really looking for a job. Its a waste of time.

Gigats Bogus career advisers

This company really preys on people who are looking for a job! They have listings and when you respond, the purport to set up a phone interview for that job... but it's really just a sales pitch for their own services and for questionable pitches about "furthering your education." When you say you aren't interested, their responses are designed to make you feel worthless or lazy. I have more than adequate education for the position I had applied for. Our "interview" had absolutely nothing to do with that position. It was all a bogus way to get additional personal information from me.

This company is representing itself as a job placement agency when in fact they are nothing more that an organization scamming callers into giving out contact information for the purpose of being harassed by online schools/degree and programs. I listened for a few minutes until I realized this was not even a human talking to me but a recording. After I hung up, getting no response to a question I asked, they had the nerve to call my cell phone back and the recording picked up and repeated about 3 sentences of the same script that I had just hung up on. Don't buy into this scam. PROTECT yourself.

Are you sure your email didn't block them? You can use their contact us form to get in touch with them. I did and they were pretty good at responding. Just go to their site and click the "contact us" button at the bottom of the page. The lady that first helped me when I contacted them was very sweet and knowledgeable. She sounded pretty young but sharp as a tack. LOL. Here's the link in case you can't find it. http://www.gigats.com/contact.cfm

Gigats Employment Scam

I was actually updating my profile on Manta and viewed the Jobs Listings tab they have listed under "Resources". When I selected the link to a job posting I was interested in applying for I was directed to what appeared to be an application however, when I tried to download my resume, it wouldn't accept it due to incorrect format and indicated that it had to be formatted as a .doc, .docx, pdf, tiff, ...etc file to be accepted. I tried to download my resume in .doc & .pdf formats and I just kept getting the same download error message...that was after I had already filled out the majority of the "online application"..Now this morning, I receive a text message from 560-30 that read: "(gigats): Hi Dell, call me about the Administrative Assistan (left off the t at the end) Job you have applied for [protected] (txt STOP to cancel)"
After I sent reply to STOP I received this response from 56030: "Career Network Job Alert: You have unsubscribed and will no longer receive msgs. For more info call [protected], msg&data rates apply, replay STOP to cancel"
Upon further research of the 560-30 sms number that the text came from, I found that its a scam to silicate college/trade school enrollments by hijacking my information when I tried to apply for a bogus job. I found 20 complaints for the exact same scenario on the SMS Watchdog website which helps identify senders of unsolicited text messages.

I applied for a job in the area and posted my resume on the site. I then received a text to contact the number provided to finish the application process. I spoke to a guy that said he was going to try to get me a job to my liking. He then wanted me to confirm all my information, address, phone number, etc. I didn't like the sound of the call and when I asked him what information of mine he has on file, he said he already had everything in front of him and was just confirming with me first for "my protection". I didn't give him any information and told him I was uncomfortable with the call and hung up on him. He immediately called me back and I did not answer the call. This is DEFINITELY A SCAM!

Gigats shady,manipulative sales presentation

On Friday, 6/28/13 at 11:49 a.m. - I was attempting to apply for a job with Molina Healthcare via the web. The site lead me to gigates.com (it appears my job application was hijacked only I did not know it then) where it stated that I was not applying for a job but was signing up for a job search engine and that afterwards I could apply for that job. (the gigats site presented itself like monster board or some such similar web search engine) I had problems with the site application. It would not accept my address. About 20 minutes later – I received a text to call a 1-888 phone number concerning my job application. ( I believe it was [protected]) and a male voice who said his name was Doug answered. He already knew my name before I even talked to him. I told him I just wished to apply for a job with Molina Health care and that the application page was not accepting my address so I could go no further. Mr. Doug stated that Gigats was authorized to do job screening for Molina HealthCare and various others. He then asked if I have time to talk to him for 30 minutes or more. I asked him if he was trying to sell me something because I had no money to buy anything. He stated he was not trying to sell me anything. He asked personal and embarrassing questions about my previous job history and then asked if I thought education was important and stated that furthering my education was the best thing I could do towards getting a better job.He then asked that if I had all my financial issues resolved would I continue my education. I told him only if I did not have to pay – “out of pocket’ for any part of it. At this point it I felt that he was attempting to twist and manipulate my words to some desired end. He then asked if I wanted to start my own career and then twice for some sort of 3 part commitment towards reviewing the email he was going to send me about jobs and job educators and that he would call me back. His tone of voice was not assertive but more aggressive and I felt like I just talked to someone who was trying to get me to enter a financial obligation I did not wish for. (All I did desired to do was to fill out the job application for Molina Healthcare.) He was telling me that he’ll turn my information over to job educators and that I needed more school. ( I could not afford this and knew that even with a Pell Grant would not cover all the cost) So he lied to me twice –The first time when he stated Gigats was authorized to do job screening for Molina Healthcare. I contacted the HR division of Molina Health Care(Monica – [protected]) on 3/2/13 at 10:30 a.m. and she stated that Gigats was not authorized to do job screening for them. And the second time was that – indeed – he was attempting to get me to make a contract commitment towards some sort of private job training school. According to the Better Business Bureau – their business category is job listings and online education and advisory – he finally stated he would send me a link where I could get access to the application and that he would forward my information to multiple job listings and job educators. I felt strongly he was talking at me in an aggressive manner and I had no time to process this type of hustle during his rant towards me. I did not wish for multiple job listings and I specifically stated I did not wish to make any financial commitment towards anything – and certainly not online education or job training. Also – the information He did send me was substandard – after telling him I can only work in Long Beach, Ca. or the surrounding areas and that I did not drive. I received email from jobs in Pittsburg and Philadelphia. I suspect Doug may be working sales on the phone only but his representation of what Gigats Inc. states is not what its policy states under its posted terms and conditions of use. Nowhere does it say that Gigats is authorized to do job screening and no where does it say that a customer using Gigates should be exposed to unnecessary pressure to enter into a legal and binding contract for any sort of job training or online education. Contrary to what the popular belief – jobs are still hard to come by and I can only emphasize that this type of hustling is deeply aggravating and wish that this issue be addressed immediately as it appears Doug lied twice by not being authorized to do job screening for Molina Healthcare and again by stating he was not trying to sell me something when indeed he was attempting to get me financially involved with online education as evidenced by the aggressive nature of his conversation with me and the business category Gigats is listed for - online education. If this is the kind of manipulative practices and substandard behavior that Gigats Inc. uses in the training of its employees, like Doug, to use for obtaining money – then I believe that such practices should come to the attention of the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and a host of other responsible elected officials who are able to put a stop to the abuse via shady business practices to consumers. It appears I am not alone in being exposed to this type of abuse – (please check out www.complaintsboard.com, scamandfraudalerts.blogspot.com/201..., www.mywot.com/en/forum/8004-gigats-...and type in gigats in the search) Shame on Mr. Alec Di Franwi for employing such shady business practices. I did try to contact Gigats.com on their contact us form but receive - Message not sent. You have invalid information. Please check form and resubmit.- repeatedly.

I received a call from [protected] at 11:54am - the male voice who did identify himself (alas - I do not recall his name) stated he was a representative of Gigats(some sort of vice president) and he was responding to my BBB complaint. there are two things that stick out about his conversation 1) he told me that the company made money by the number of clicks they have from users - and from providing contacts to job educators. - so in fact - he was selling me the service of considering job educators. (He still did not answer why it was necessary to go thru the interview with Doug?) if he was not providing a job? He also insisted that they represented Molina Health Care - although I reminded him several times - they stated Gigats - did not. but most important - when I referred to the other complaints online - he stated they are no longer there because Gigats successfully sued the complainer for several million dollars for defamation of character. As he said this - his voice grew in volume and deeper. Now I have to step back and think a bit here! Was that a thinly veiled threat? I did not understand the point of his call - was he determined to convince me otherwise that what happened - did not happen? that I was wrong? he went on to state that I chose to use the Gigats web site. when in fact - in order to get to the Molina healthcare application - I had to go thru them and I feel strongly that the reason I had problems filling out the application - was because it was purposely set that way - so "Doug" can call me. he also stated Doug did not call me - that is correct - he text-ed me to call him back concerning the job - I initially thought this was a legitimate job offer so I did call the number that was text-ed. It appears the person who called me had an answer for everything but did not answer anything directly. and using a thinly veiled threat to sue me - only convinced me that this call was indeed an attempt to scare me into silence

Just got off the phone dealing with them. Asked to speak to a manager and was eventually hung up on. Called back, reassured that it was my day off and I had nothing better to do. Used their contact us board to get a reply, while repeatedly saying I wanted to speak to a manager. Got an email confirming I am no longer subscribed, promised to keep calling back if I run into any trouble. What prompted all this? He kept asking if I wanted to go back to school during the first call. I am not eligible for FAFSA, and I am not able to get a co-signer for a loan. I tried to explain this several times. He was not listening, and started talking over me about the company education helpers. I asked to talk to a manager. He put me on hold, and eventually he hung up on me. I called back and got the same voice! OH JOY! With much sarcasm. So I went through demanding to speak to a manager. If I get any emails that from the company, I will continue to call. The benefits of having a skype number, I was looking for jobs all while dealing with this nonsense.

Gigats Hijacked during online job application

While applying for a job on an online job posting site, my application was hijacked by Gigats.com and was told I had to speak to a representative in person in order for them to get additional information for my application. I was told by "Kenneth" that he was able to submit only one applicant per day to the company advertising for this position, only the best applicant for the job would be referred by him. Between this (red flag already) BS speech, he kept asking me if I wanted to continue my education or start my own business. No, I just want to apply for this job I told him. I continued to get the hard sell for school, etc. In the end (after lots of May God Bless you's from Kenneth) and an assurance he'd send my referral in for the job, he told me he'd email me more information about this job. All I ever got was my phone blown up with calls trying to pressure me into enrolling me in college and no job referral. The entire thing was B.S. I'm not sure if my application or resume ever made it to the employer. Lies, lies and more lies. They should be put out of business!

Gigats.com should represent themselves honestly, not as con artists. To have reps reply to these complaints and act as though this shouldn't happen, is extremely rare and they want to correct these "rare" problems, makes it even more abhorent. There are enough avenues to pursue higher education if a person wants to do it. Get a (different) gig, Gigats, or at the very least, get real & be honest with people and stop hijacking people who are simply trying to find work.

I posted the original complaint on this site against gigats.com. I got the same (form letter) response emailed to me from gigats. They asked me to reply with the email address I gave the rep so they could f/u with "Kenneth" (who, by the way sounded very much like a woman). however, they gave no link for a reply & the email address that their message was sent from was a "no reply" email address. I get the feeling they are fairly versed in responding to these issues. Additionally, "Kenneth" gave me his "personal email address" and when I tried to email him to ask what was going on, I never got any type of reply from him. Would be interesting to know how many other people has this same experience when hijacked by Gigats.com...

I too filled out an application on Indeed.com and got hijacked. I received a call from Will, will@gigats.com. As I was listening to what seemed like a robot he started asking me about school. As I'm listening to him I googled Gigats reviews and found this site and I immediately hung up on him. I just hope I hung up in time, probably not. But since Will @ gigats is giving out my information, how about I give out his will@gigats.com.
What a bunch of scammers? I now see why he was a little hesitant when I told him I was supposed to be in law school, guess he didn't see that coming, kinda got scared I guess. Anyway, somebody needs to shut them down. The BBB has a list of complaints on Gigats with them responding stating they're removing peoples information only some are responding that they are still receiving phone calls from people. It won't bother me cause I simply don't answer my phone if I don't see a number that is familiar. Most of my job interviews are set up with real people, so my phone will ring and I will not answer. As far as email, Gigats welcome to the world of SPAM, I have over 3, 000 in my spam that I still don't look at. You're pitiful Gigats and the people who work for you out to be ashamed isn't that right will@gigats.com?

Alright so I'm a former employee. Stress on former.

I agree that what Gigats does is shady as all heck, but it sounds more like you people are just mad that you'd been had. Trust me, they have a whole team of lawyers upstairs making sure that everything they do is in compliance with the law. So all of you talking about shutting them down have no water to hold. Is it illegal for an employer to ask you your age? Yep. But Gigats isn't interviewing you for a job. They're interviewing you to sell your information WITH YOUR CONSENT. It's not their fault you didn't read the fine print. And YOU called THEM. You walked into it.

On a moral level I do disagree with what the site does, preying on people who are just looking for work in difficult times, but to be honest I don't really feel too bad for people who get caught. Another comment mentioned that the company thinks everyone is "stupid and desperate"...well, you ARE. You all proved to be stupid and desperate by taking the bait and calling in.

After all, no actual company on the planet asks for YOU to call THEM about an interview right after submitting an application without any time for a real person to view the information. That just doesn't happen. I mean if you're dumb enough to fall for that you kind of deserve to get scammed.

Like I said, I did eventually leave the company. I do want to thank you all for keeping the company afloat so that I could get a job making double what my peers expected to make upon graduating from a state university. That job was actually a fantastic stepping stone into my dream career (Human Resources) so without you losers I wouldn't be here today.

Gigats got hold of me to supposedly help me find EMPLOYMENT! They talked more about EDUCATION than they did employment! I need a JOB right now and I get NUMEROUS calls anymore from people wanting to talk to me about furthering my education! I don't NEED those phone calls. Gigats said they would help me find employment. Well, I have gotten NOTHING yet and it has been close to a month! They said they would not stop helping me til I got something. Well, so far, I've gotten NOTHING but phone calls about EDUCATION! Then, when I go to a possible link for a job in my email, it doesn't take me to the job I'm after! Some of the sites even have my ZIP CODE wrong! If I want to further my education, I will contact the SCHOOL'S! My priority is EMPLOYMENT right now...NOT going to SCHOOL! While school is important, I have priorities going here. If Gigats cannot help me find something, I will just dismiss them. I am getting GOBS of emails from different places now..."Careers for You", "JobHat", etc...and not ONE has helped me, even though I send my resume in with an application, once I finally FIND the place to apply online! So far, I am GREATLY disappointed with Gigats...and JobHat...and...and...and!

I had the same experience as everyone here, replied to a job posting and filled in the online application, and got a message that I was to have a follow up call to complete the application. Was badgered by Will to agree that I would consider going back to school. I have a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. The job was never discussed. He said that school recruitment was a major part of their work, and when he transferred me to a representative I hung up, as I had by then (during his call) accessed this site.
Also, he kept talking at me like I was a ###, which was offensive.

I talked to "Will" at Gigats. He was nice but kept on and on about trying to get me to further my education. I explained to him several times that I hold two bachelor's degrees...he asked "do you think a specialized degree would help you find a job?" I am a teacher looking for a part time job for the summer. The position I clicked on was an Administrative Assistant position. When I completed the Gigats form, the job was no longer available? It sent warning flags to me that the job disappeared after completing their form. I am not interested in further education just paying for it with a summer job. We will see if I find a job...Will guaranteed that he will find me a job in 90 days. Remember...summer position?! He was listening to me very well. Thanks for the warnings about this company.

I also was Scammed by this company. I wanted to apply for a specific job at Wegmans because it's a really good company to work for and their corporate headquarters is located right here in my own home town. I was applying for a job beneath my education level just so I could get my foot in the door. I had already applied to Wegman's online, and did not see this job posted on their website. So when Gigats claimed that they were acting as a screening service for Wegmans, I thought they knew about a job that I didn't. It was very strange, however, that they kept asking me whether I planned to continue my education when I had already mentioned that I had a Bachelor's Degree and would be over-educated already for the job I was applying for. When I was transferred to their educational "advisor", she had the nerve to ask me what year I graduated from High School. That is like asking how old I was which is ILLEGAL! I told her I didn't give out that information and she said she could no longer do anything for me. I'm glad I didn't because they already have my name, address, email and cell phone number and who knows who they sell that info to!

How do I delete my profile from gigats.com? I have looked for the option to delete on their home web page and it does not have that info listed. I really should have googled this website before committing any of my personal info. I am now royally screwed
