The store manager, kathy, treats her employees poorly. She creates a hostile work environment. Kathy is valued by corporate as a strong manger for her stores are top rated. The truth is she has a very high turnover rate of employees due to her treatment of them. Favoritism is shown and others who are just as strong a worker are ridiculed and demeaned in front of customers. Vendors speak poorly of her due to her lack of interest in getting them checked in and out of deliveries. Some employees are aloud to "skate" along while others that have shown their abilities to exceed are expected to pick up the slack and do twice the work for the same pay. What is a hostile work environment? This is what I endure every day I clock in "harassment becomes unlawful where 1) enduring the offensive conduct becomes a condition of continued employment, or 2) the conduct is severe or pervasive enough to create a work environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive. " an investigation should take place at this store. Interviews with employees, vendors, and regular customer should take place. This store has good workers who are going to leave due to this treatment. I thank you for looking into this situation.
