Non-activation of SIM Card!

I took a postpaid connection from Airtel. 6 days have passed and till now they have not activated the no given to me. I'm calling customer care services and they are telling that may be my documents have not been submitted. The concerned person have submitted all the documents and Airtel persons tell that they are working on it. Do not know when will it be activated! Their service is pathetic!

Purchased airtel demo sim from friends shop after paying rs 2000. It was said that the sim will be activated after 48hrs but it didn't get activated. Then i had to go to my native for a week's time, after returning from native the card was still not activated. Then i personally went to the near by airtel office (spectrum towers) spoke with them, they said i will have to submit the documents, i submitted again 48hrs required to activate, waited for the activation, it got activated but after some days it got deactivated again. Then again i had to walk into the airtel office. They said i will have to again submit the documents and also had to pay rs100 for a sim which they had given but 48hrs finished the sim is still not activated. I am just hating the airtel now. I am working for ibm daksh in mindspace (magnus towers) the building just opposite to the airtel office is situated.

I has taken one connection on friday, the Agent Imran in IBM Bannrghata, Bangalore, told me that it will be activated by Saturday evening. And sim is not activated, I tried to contact Imran, His Mobile is either switched off, or he is not picking up the phone. Irresponsible Guy. Then I talked to Deepak at 121(Airtel Customer Care Representative), He told me that it will be activated by Sunday. On Sunday Morning I again talked at 121 as Imran's no is again switched off. I talked to Jayshree, She told me that, SAT, SUN, MON are holidays, so Sim will be activated on Tuesday.

So result is My sim is not activated within 24 hrs Due to Irresponsible guy IMRAN (Agent) and Customer care People.

I bought a SIM card from Ameerpet after submitting proper documents in the month of March'2007. After 2 days the outgoing call was barred. The Airtel customer care informed the docs were not submitted by dealer so I submitted the docs again and I could make outgoing calls. I understand the Airtel people restored the connection only after getting the documents. After 15 days again the connection (both incoming and outgoing) was barred and to my surprise it says the number does not exist. On calling the customer care, they informed the docs was not submitted. Can I know, if they have not received the docs, how come they restore my connection earlier. The distributor says that he has already submitted the docs, and I believe the distributor is right since the call can only be restored for the first time after Airtel had got the proper docs. Then how come they block the connection again, and that too without informing the customer. They should have sent a SMS, called me to inform regarding this. I will not accept such type of ignorance from such a big company. I need explanation from Airtel. After submitting docs for 2 times, I am surprised to know that they are asking for docs again. Why will a customer suffer because of the ignorance of the authorized dealer or Airtel itself. THe address of dealer Sri Sai Mobile and Accessories, Plot No 5, Shiv Bagh, Ameerpet. Mr Satish

I was asked to submit my identity proof again as i did not use the SIM for a month and said that it will be activated within 72 working hours. I submit it a week back to airtel customer care office at ECIL, Hyderabad, but up to yet the SIM wasn't been activated. I called customer care (121) they said they haven't been received any documents yet, 'i left the station after submitting the documents'. Whom i have to contact and how to check my status.

I have a similar issue. I got the Airtel connection 3 weeks back in Pune. The connection was active in 2 days. But later after 4 days Outgoing call making facility was temporarily cut. It took 5 days to activate outgoing facility. Now again since morning there's no network available with message: SIM Card Registration failed!

Airtel customer service 121 is hopeless and same i can say about the agent from whom i took the connection.

To Whom So Ever,

I am the S/E working for one of prestigious company, I am using the Airtel prepaid from past 2 yrs here in Bangalore, One of the representative from Airtel sits here in my office, which is at residency road, Bangalore. I asked her to migrate my existing number from pre paid to post paid... after two days I received an mesg on my existing number (pre paid) stating; "the migration will be done in 4hrs, during which your (current sim) will be inactive. Pls insert new sim after 4 hrs'. I did as per there suggestion. Still now after 48 hrs my both sims are inactive... When I call them they are avoiding my call either or giving some stupid reasons like in 10 mins or 20 min your sim will get activated... blaw... blaw.

In due course I got humpty number of important call were done from PM/PL ... for which Airtel say "Airtel you called is not reachable"...

Its ridiculous to see such renowned company does not stick to their words.

I have complaint against Airtel Telecommunication Service... Actually I have purchased Airtel SIM card on 14th May 07 with submitted all documents which were required, a Dealer (Telephone shoppe, off Tilak road, sadashiv peth, pune) has told me that your SIM card will get activated with in 24 hrs. But now there is more than 30 hrs has passed on and still my SIM card hasn't activated. I called to 121 so many times and i got the reply like system is not working properly so we cannot help you, call after 2hrs, I have called after 4hr then still i got the same answer... Now called last time I got answer that my documents are not submitted by their dealer to their head office, so that in this case customer care executive said me he can not help me and suggested to contact their dealer...

This kind of service I am getting form Airtel... This is very bad experience for me...

Airtel is trying to change the meaning of customer care. It is not a customer care rather to confusing the customers. Every time you call, they make a new story without knowing the actual problem.

Useless service provider. I bought sim, it was activated in that moment. But after 3 weeks I got message from airtel that I have to submit my address proof and Id proof to nearest Airtel shop, I did the same. The response form Airtel is they disconnected my mobile service i.e, Number barred. Then I called c care, they told same submit documents again. After submitting the req docs 2 times they are asking again to submit docs - what a professional service.

Strongly agree. The service provided through phone at bangalore is also very worst. Almost we have to hold phone for 1 hour. After that also v cant get any permanent solution. Again we have to contact them by phone and the same story continues...

Service is one which must easy the work of customer. But here it is entirely reverse. Airtel head office as to take this issue as serious one. Otherwise this will be advantage for competitors.

I had a pathetic experience in migrating from prepaid to a post paid connection just to hold on the same number. It took five working days to deactivate the prepaid SIM and GOD knows how much time it will take to activate the post paid SIM. Its around 48 hours expecting for the post paid SIM to get activated. The useless agents who took 100 rupees as service charge are no more accessible, simply absconding. I don't have any other option, have to wait for the service providers mercy to restore my connection.

Airtel has not refund my security deposited despite several times inform to all concern, even senior executive madam gurjeet, all times given false assurance, my canceled cell no 98760 66539, fax sent on dated Dec 09/2006, fax sent on no 9815298152, due cleared 07/12/2006, receipt a/c no 107-04893170, A/c no 107-103658179.

Still 45 days are not completed for return this refund buy airtell it is quality policy of air tel renown company, now i want this refund with same rule as they charge from the customer bill with interest.

Hi mates
i am airtel gprs customer (as per airtel ppl :P ) and using gprs since last 2 yrs
now i changed my cell phone to nokia 3230 which is edge class 10 handset
but my speed doesn't makes any difference by edge
so i complained in airtel cc and they just wrote a complain 20 dayz back and told me that they 24 working hrs to resolve my problem
i wait for 5 dayz but my speed was abt 5-6 kBps
then i made another complain regarding same issue...but they don even reply for my complain no.. when i request cc exe to give me current status they disconnect the call and banned my call for cc
only through sms i can make complain to them... (in north east i can make 3 calls in day or total 30 calls in a month to cc ) but i know i just made around 7-8 calls in these 20 dayz
now i get a new prob i.e my net speed goes below 1 kBps
even i cant login to yahoo...wth airtel cc ppl r doing...
i thot to contact nodal officer but the no which i found on website are not reachable
i mailed to 121@airtelworld.com
but only auto confirmation i got from dere side
can any one tell me what can i do
or what sud i do to complain against these deaf dump cc exe

I have a prepaid airtel connection Student sim. I had earlier 100 msg free daily which was very useful to me. But from 07/08/07 you are deducting 10 paise per sms by which we are not happy.
Please consider that we are the students and do not deduct 10 paise per sms and please give us 100 msg free for a day.
Please consider our request.

I had taken postPaid sim card frm Airtel (Kormangla).I had prepaid connection which i was supposed to migrate to postpaid ,last tuesday.the Executives over there had promised the it wud get done by saturday but it is next monday but still not being done .when i contacted they told they are processing still.
