India's worst service provider!

On February 12, 2007, my mobile phone suddenly showed the message SIM card registration failed. I had started using this connection since November 2006.

I called up the customer service from a PCO, they told me to go to an Airtel Gallery. When I went there the next day (Tuesday Feb 13), they told me to come on Friday (Feb 16). On Feb 16 when I went to the gallery, they told that the prepaid systems are not working. Again I went on Feb 17, again their prepaid systems were not working and they could not help me out. Then I went on Feb 19. They issued me a new SIM card charging Rs 99/- and told me that within 48 hours my phone would start functioning. After 72 hours when it did not function, I went to their gallery again (Feb 22). I stood for 2 hours in their gallery but due to the long queue of customers, I could not get to them. Then I went again on Feb 26, and this time they told me that it will start functioning in 24 hours. It is more than 24 hours now and still I am with a disconnected phone connection - and I am in this situation since the past 16 days.

Now if this is not the country's worst service provider, then nothing else can be!!!

These people at airtel have gone nuts they repeatedly keep on asking for your id even if they have issued the sim after verifying the details of the person concerned on top of it they barred their services without any prior notification the height is that i have submitted my id proofs again on the sim which was issued to me just a week ago with all the documents being submitted again yet my services have not been restarted since past 3 days i am planning to launched an FIR against the company and also sue them for this

Very Good Afternoon,

I am user of airtel for many years but recently i had very bad experience with AIRTEL, I am working with IBM at gurgaon.

I took new connection x (In my name) and i cancelled old number y (In name of My friend)

I requested for old number submission through airtel.in, then somebody contacted me from customer care and it was clear that connection to be disconnected i.e. on 13th April

But to my surprise i received billing advice for 'x' two days back i.e. is on 24th April that i have to pay 512 Rs - which includes rental for 24th April to 24th may as well. I cannot understand what calculation it is ?? Then i called AIRTEL customer care center, those guys disconnected the line 4 times than for 5th time i requested very personally then he talked to me. He also couldn't solve the issue, he suggested that i have to pay that coming month rental also but as i requested and entertained for submission of connection on 15th April finally then why should i pay this amount.

For this he suggested that first i have to pay full amount then cheque would be sent to my address, then i asked for any system request number / confirmation number then he asked me to hold the line and disconnected it.

He also suggested weird thing that the rental which is appearing by mistake for coming month would be adjusted in my new connection account, I cant understand if new connection and old connection are not in same name then what and how amount would be transfered.

There is no proper service provided by the airtel .. they are just grabbing money .. so is it possible to withdraw all the airtel service accept incoming & outgoing calls.

I had a similar experience too! SIM card registration failed! Then they asked me to submit proof of address. Crazy!

Every month we are done 100 & above activations from my outlet, airtel TM committed the activation scheme slab starting of month. After completing the target they are not settle the scheme properly. It is happen last one year onwards, already inform to our area Territory Manager Mr. shyam (he is take care of Harshitha communications, vanasthalipuram, RR district Hyderabad). He says ignore that outlet, we don't want business any outlet question to me ignore those outlets we are market leaders he is behaving in this way. Its true airtel is market leader i know but professional company employee in that position he is behaving that way company lose the business in future. Here i am asking only data of activations of total month, i am maintain the total data with signature of MAK boy but he is not agree with my data. Every month we are lose above 3000 rupees in that way. As my knowledge here happens TM & distributor make the scam.

AIRTEL customer care is BULLSHIT. They dont accept their problems and simply make the customer fool of it.

My experience with airtel has been worst. On 18th April 08 I got a postpiad connection. On 23 April 08, my outgoing was blocked while I was in journey. When contacted Allahabad Customer care I was told, my address verification has failed because of short address. The fact is that the adrress verification executive did not made any effort to locate a well known landmark, such as khadakwasla lake. My out going remians block even after 20 days. several effort to contact customer care and gallery has failed to evoke any positive response. Gallery is arrogant towards me, as if i am criminal living at a short address.
