AirTel cheating everyone in India!

I am using airtel connection more than 6 years, since past 3 years i see airtel cheats everyone in india. In such a way they use marketing tactics get customer and cheat them. Now this is new way in india big telephone companies are start cheating. It was my 5th time i was cheated by airtel about false information. Everyone knows that interstate for calls made local by bharathi (airtel) and bsnl. Recently i got sms message like ' recharge for 440 get rs 100 normal talktime and 400 mins of free local airtel to airtel talktime'. I got recharged and i got rs 100 talktime and 400 mins aitel to airtel. But the think is after i made several calls to my brother, he is in same state and another city i got charged from my normal talktime. Airtel gives the meaning that here local means only local city it seems, i called up asked about this and i got shocked 'airtel knowingly does everything ' - 'airtel the clever cheater' the call center guys are also gives the same meaning that what i was that, after they clarified with the manager, they can able to give different meaning.

So far at least i inquired many who're unwillingly holding that number just sake of retain the old number. This is really f***ing company. Don't get cheated. Almost it cheats everyone in different way. Many people are crying because of these cheats.

Beware of airtel. Go for bsnl or reliance (these guys having poor service but never cheats others).

I purchased the SIM Card which under the scheme AIRTEL TO AIRTEL (STD) is one rupee in India, Suddenly, I checked after compleion of call, I found they are deducting two rupees. While communicating to Customer care, they are are telling what scheme they have right now, but they are not conveined why this SIM card has discontinued, Instantly they are disconnected the option that 121 dialing for this No. MY mobile no 0091 9967459852. This is mean indirecting they are cheating the public also If I want to speak with customer care executive I must spend minimum One hour then only I may get CCE. My conversations also recoredred by them due example of some internal trainings.

My old Airtel number was 9867856022. I shifted to a new scheme of Airtel and took 3numbers. I'm currently using the new number but after disconnection of the old number also the bill is sent every month. Have spoken to Ms.Varsha of Malad office but got a very rude reply. I have spoken to 25 different people and told them that the number is not in use and we cannot make payment for the false bill. In spite of several reminders and giving complaint numbers, we are still receiving bill for the old number. Now, I have received a lawyer notice for non-payment. Should I still go ahead with airtel? airtel is a "Total failure in customer service". Can anybody help?

I am holding an Airtel prepaid no. - 9810241225 since last 6 yrs which is now being used by my mother for the past couple of years. The reason for having a prepaid no. is to access ISD service at once.

On 28th Sept.’06, she went to an Airtel Outlet at Daryaganj, Delhi and inquired about the prepaid schemes with maximum validity. A lady named Ms. Neelu attended her call and informed there is one scheme with Rs.888/- and validity for one year with Rs.444/- talktime which she accepted and got done an e recharge. But to her surprise on 26.10.06, she received a message on her phone that her validity period has expired.

Later on she checked with them and she got to know that this scheme was available only to fresh/new subscribers.

If the employees of the company outlet are not aware of the schemes then what is the fault of the subscriber. She only invested in a higher amount to get the validity. But now the outlet people after her three visits personally (out of the way) say - we are sorry nothing can be done.

Several complaints have been lodged with Airtel customer care as well without any sucess or any feedback from their end.

If a big company like Airtel cant bear the loss of Rs.444/ suffered by a subscriber without fault of his/her, then what is the future of a small subscriber.

I had a Airtel connection for my Mobile. I stopped using Airtel services in Decmebr 2005. I was told that the deposit of Rs 3000 will be returned to me in 40 Days. Now it is almost one year but my deposit has not been returned. Don't use Airtel, they are lairs!

I had contact Airtel Office in Lifestyle building in Begumpet on 23rd Oct, 2006 for changing the plan from Postpaid to Prepaid they tried selling different schemes though I was very specific and at last convenience them for a change of plan.

Recd an SMS staying that yr request no will be registered and will look into the same. Next month I Receive a bill with totally different plan and I go to the Lifestyle building I get to know that staff would be in on time and I am made to wait for more than 2 hrs to get the reply.

I had a deposit of Rs. 1500/- against by mobile which I had asked them to adjust to the prepaid they said it is two different account and cannot be adjusted. Everyone be careful.

From 3-4 days each time when i make an out going call, it is diverted to airtel customer care.on inquiring about the issue regarding out going call the person who spoke me mr. sindle told me that he is a technical executive he told me that it takes 4hrs,2hrs,1hr, 12hr........etc.to solve this issue.my address verification was also done and it was cleared.

On calling customer care, explaining the situation was of no use. According to...Customer care executives are not responding.

I am really fed up of all this mess this is the worst thing i am experiencing in the cell connection. if this is not done i think you may be loosing all u r valuable customers in future.

I have closed my AIRTEL connection (AndraPradesh circle) 9866343851 on Nov 2 2006 after paying back all the dues in cash. The original connection was a postpaid and was payed through ECS past two years + . These idiots after closing the connection for paying the cash they have withdrawn the amount again from my ECS bank account on Dec 2nd. In spite of repeated mails and communication, there is no answer from airtel till date. no one is really bothered to reply to mymail 121@air****. The customer service is so pathetic trust me. Never ever take an airtel connection in the life.

I have subscribed to AirTel service one month back and my outgoing calls are bared due to exceed in my credit limit. As per my information my credit limit is 1000 and my usage was approx. 500 Rs. Without any previous information my outgoing calls are bared. When I have called the Call center four time and I have got junk answers from AirTel executives.

When I have asked why my outgoings are bared without informing me I have got the answer twice we have made a call and twice I have got the answer that there was no calls made.

I have got the same answer when I have visited Airtel brand in Sahar mall and they told me its our mistake and there was no calls made to inform you.

Since my credit limit is 1000 and my usage is 500 why the outgoing calls are bared without informing.

Why there was no call/SMS from you to inform me about this.

I have asked the Airtel office sahar mall peoples to provide me the complaint number they told me that you will get the SMS with the complaint number, but unfortunately I have not received and details.

Since I have shifted from other operator to Airtel for better service but I have got very bad experience.

I have been a loyal customer ot Airtel Prepaid for the past 3-4 years. I have been in Cochin and Blore and where ever I go I always used to go in for Airtel. But this time after taking a new connection I am experiencing very poor service from them IN KERALA.

I got my new airtel number 99951532XX on Sept 1st, 2006 in Cochin, Kerala. There hasn't been any problem for 3 months. Then suddenly on Dec 11th evening my sms,incoming/outgoing calls are barred WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.

When I called up customer care they said its some address verification failure. Ok, agree. But they could have at least send me an sms asking me to submit documents before disconnecting.

Anyways next day, ie 12th 11am I submitted documents. They said it'll get activated within 24hrs. Nothing happened. I called up customer care again on 13th. Spoke to the TL, he promised me that my connection will be active within 7 hrs. Again nothing happened. Then today 14th I called up customer care again. The next TL (one Ms.Sunitha) was not even ready to give me a time frame on when my problem would be resolved. I told her promises wont do since the previous day a TL had not kept his promise. I asked her for the next higher authority's number which she dint give and know what, she HUNG MY CALL. IS THIS THE WAY TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS ?

Earlier she said that my complaint has been registered and the problem was that my documents have not been received ! This is ridiculous since I had submitted the documents at the main Cochin Airtel office at Kadavanthara, Bharthi Towers. How can they just go on like this for no mistake of mine....... I have been attending some interviews off late and was expecting calls. And the disc at this point is causing serious problem to my career. Had it been any other instance I would have thrown the SIM at the airtel office. But here I am helpless.

Someone Plz Help. Someone get me Airtel Regional Managers Numbers. After paying so much money per month for years I cant just keep quite.

The Airtel is the number one company in mobile service (Only Airtel says that) all the promises are false that they are having a wide and better network coverage then any other company. I am trying a Bombay number from last two hour and it says "the network you are trying to reach, is currently busy". I am so frustrated now what to do. Mine number is +91-9810095481 and I am trying +91-9822042295. While the other person is getting my messages but I am not able to talk with him. Airtel has very poor service!

I am the user of Airtel from last one year. According to "Friends" Scheme my 1000 SMS will be free in a month. From 22 Nov suddenly they have start charging 0.25 Paise. Regarding this when i talk with their customer care executive they ensure me that they will solve my problem with in 24 hours & my scheme is still open. From that day to till date, I spoken with their executive 5 to 6 time, wrote a mail also, but my problem has not been solved by them till now.

This company is really giving pains to his customers by strange activities. I had a prepaid plan of Rs.570 on which i got Rs507 as a talktime and one year validity. MY NO. IS 9860644691 After two months they deducted Rs357 from my balance,now i couldn't made any call because my balance is in negative. I called them at least 6-7 times but every time i got new answer. Can u imagine the India's biggest company can do this? They are not responded well.

Today date 18-jan-2007 whole day airtel mobile disturbed. I have lost one important call. Mobile service provider charge to customer if they don't pay bill on time, why not customer can charge on service provider if service is not proper.

I had received a Motorola C118 Mobile handset with Airtel connection (with 1599 minutes Talk Time Local Airtel to Airtel), from HP India with New Printer. The mobile was free activating by Airtel then disconnected in spite of me giving them Ration Card as proof of Residence and ID at Nehru Place. This is very unfair on Airtel’s Part.

I dont know why without informing me airtel has introduced a new change ie i purchased an sms pack worth rs 39 in which my sms to any airtel,spice,hutch user were free. But from today onwards without informing me airtel is charging me 1 re per sms to spice users.This is not right.I really want to leave airtel.

AIRTEL THE BIGGEST FRAUD COMPANY THAT I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS.

1st Incident

From 1st Jan I have been struggling with Airtel for deducting my account balance Rs 35.00 without any reason. After checking with the Customer care people.....utterly unprofessional liars who also agreed that the amount has been deducted without any services provided, I was give a Complaint no by a guy called Pratap & he also committed that I will get the refund by 11Jan in my account, obviously I could not catch hold of him again being a call centre, each & every time I had to run my story again & again to every Tom, Dick & Harry without any result. After speaking to list to people then I got to speak to the floor supervisor called Rakesh Sharma who seemed to be the smartest one & promised to provide the service....till date Rakesh Sharma refuses to answer my calls. Ultimately realised that Airtel has been eating the money of the people & refuse to talk to them.

2nd Incident

I had taken the offer of 150 sms free for Rs. 48.00. The validity given to me after dialing *123*4# was 1st Feb & today all the sms that I have been sending is been charged, I had a balance of 54 msgs after all AIRTEL the FRAUD SERVICE PROVIDER has bluffed me again by giving the wrong information. From morning I have speaking to the customer care but only to hear them say that their System is getting upgraded as usual therefore unable to give any information.

I am an AirTel subscriber. I had activated their GPRS services on 25th of Jan,2007 and used it for 2 days and deactivated it on 26th by sending the necessary sms to 511. After this, on 28th, Rs. 23.98 got deducted from my balance as GPRS usage charges for 27th and 28th of Jan. I called up the customer care centre immediately and they told me that my wrongfully deducted money would be refunded within 48 hours. Instead of my money being refunded, on the next day that is on 29th of Jan Rs. 11.99 got deducted again as GPRS usage charges for 29th. I again called up the customer care centre and they gave me the same assurance as before that my wrongfully deducted money would be refunded within 48 hours. This has been going on for the last 7 days (as of 2nd Feb,2007) and instead of my 'wrongfully deducted' money as the airtel customer care executives call it, being refunded, money keeps being deducted for GPRS services, from my balance every 24 hours. The customer care executives give the same answer every time (which I now find to be highly ridiculous considering the situation) but no refund comes through. Is this not equivalent to daylight/highway robbery?
