Recieved a letter in the mail from a collection agency which is being run out of a house in Carson City NV. The letter states that I have charge that is in collections for somthing, someone called Pure Garcinia. I have attempted to call this shady operation but not to my surprise, there is no one who answers the phone. Would be curious to hear from others who may have recieved a similar letter as I will be pursuing legal action to it's fullest including making a trip to his little yellow house and dragging him out into the street bu his ears.

Received the same demand for payment for supposedly receiving US weekly Magazine and demands payment of $365.75 First of all I would never order a subscription of a magazine, wanted ever magazine I want to read I buy it at the supermarket. And they Demanded I remit the money to Collect Pros, P>O> Box 4133, Woburn, MA 0188.
And when you cannot even reach someone by phone you know it's a scam. Turning this letter over to our local law enforcement as well and the FTC and the FCC. Gail the shedder

I received a letter from COLLECT PROS stating I owe them $365.75 for a magazine order from February 2015 to now for US Weekly magazine. I have never ordered any magazine from anyone. When you call the phone number on the letter it does not give you an option to speak with a rep. This letter is very intimidating & intrusive. Not only that, I am getting phone calls left & right telling me that someone is trying to hack my computer & they ask me to get on my computer now. I told them I will call my technician & then they hang up. Tired of these crooks, someone needs to do something about this ASAP!

Received a letter from them yesterday for US Weekly. Says I owe 299.25. Never ordered or received this magazine. I will be contacting US Weekly today. I've reported them to the consumer financial protection bureau help.consumerfinancial.gov this is also against the fair debt collection practice act. There are complaints with the better business bureau, the company never responded to. If you get a letter from them don't pay and make sure you file complaints against them. I will be sending a letter to my state attorney General today. And maybe our postmaster, couldn't this be mail fraud too?

We received a letter demanding $274.05 for the US Weekly collection - we had not even heard of the magazine at the time. Faxing the letter to US Weekly, posting the scam on Facebook, and turning the letter over to our local law enforcement.

I received a collect letter from COLLECT PROS FROM N.V. For $365.75 for US Weekly magazine. I never order or received. I have PO BOX, the post office said I never received any magazine. Called US Weekly they said they do not show me at all buying any magazine, then they hung up on me as did collect pros. dated 05/11/2015.

I have a letter about US weekly Magazine from Collect Pros also, stating that I owe $299.25. I have never ordered nor did I receive the
US Weekly Magazine. I filed a dispute online, but am confident it is a scam. Some people may pay, but I am not about to be taken for such an outrageous scam. ConniO

I was about to flip my lid at first. But, I got in contact with US Weekly Magazine and they could see that I never had a subscription with them. They are investigating this situation. I definitely believe that this is a scam. It is such a coincidence that I have the exact same amount to pay as the previous Rp205 of $365.75. They tell you to go online to dispute this but its still a mystery how to do it but I will figure it out.

Received the same demand for payment for supposedly receiving US weekly Magazine and demands payment of $332.50(that's more than an annual Wall Street Journal subscription). Demanded I remit the money to Collect Pros, P>O> Box 4133, Woburn, MA 0188.

I said to myself "WTF." May I suggest to all of you who received the same demands for a subscription you never ordered, never received and are concerned about your good name and money -- forget it, it's simple -- they try to scare you into making a payment. Do yourself a favor public -- throw the piece of paper in the waste basket. Me, I like to shred as I feel I am ripping their fraudulent efforts apart. And since I am going to dinner shortly, I will have an extra glass of wine and toast the ###s at Collect Pros. Shred it baby.

I received a letter today saying I owe 365.75 for a subscription to us weekly magazine. I have never ordered or received a magazine. When I called to dispute the debt I actually got through to someone who told me I could pay 20% of the debt and it would be settled. Told them I wasn't paying any %. What do I need to do?

I just received a letter today from the same company stating I owed $274.05 for weekly magazines which I did not order. I called the number and did talk to someone. They told me they could not discuss the matter with me, that I would have to go online and write a letter of dispute. Why so the can get my e-mail. The website for this did not come up. They really have my blood boiling because the lady I was talking to hung up on me. Huh that should tell you something. I did tell her that they were not going to get any money from me because I did not order anything. She tried to tell me I ordered the magazines online which I know is a lie. Any thoughts?

Received a bill from Collect Pros for US Weekly Magazine for the sum of $332.50. I have never heard of the magazine let alone ordered it. I don't like having magazines cluttering my house, so I don't order them. Who the H are these people? No human to speak to, just a stupid voice saying pay on line or by mail to some PO box in Woburn, Ma.

I live in California, and I also got the same letter from collect pros. They said I owed $99.95 for a product I never ordered and if I don't pay till 5/3/15, it will raise to $119.95.. I'm very upset at this.

This is ridiculous and scary at the same time. When are evil individuals going to stop scamming the people. I received a letter as well on 4/3/15 for $79.95 for Pure Garcinia. I called the number and it does not give you the option to speak with an individual. I tried the website several times and it does not appear on my screen without an issue. The letter said if you want to dispute it, you should write to them. Has anyone done this?

I'm not falling for it if we are all going through this false collection letter. I have a credit score of over 800 and never had an issue.
Thank you for posting this. Good luck to all.

I too received a letter saying that I owed $79.95 to Pure Garcinia. I also got the sample of these for $4.95. I never received any sort of email confirmation of my order when I made it and the only way that I knew that they received my request is that after a couple of days they took the $4.95 from my account. There was nothing on the website that stated that you were going to be charged for additional product or that it was a "trial offer", just that you would get a sample for the cost of shipping. Our bank contacted us when Pure Garcinia tried to charge my debit card. I refused the charges and had to receive a new debit card. I have NEVER received ANY communications from Pure Garcinia regarding an outstanding balance or that they were going to ship me any more product. I have NEVER received anything more than the sample that I paid for. I want to write a scathing letter on the back of this stupid collection notice, but I'm not sure I want to give these folks the satisfaction, not to mention, I don't think it would stop them anyway. Anyone have any thoughts?

I received a letter from COLLECT PROS saying that I owe $79.95 and if I don't pay it till 05/03/2015 a collection fee will be added and $99.95 will be due.
Last year I ordered just the sample of Garcinia and the company charged me more, but thanks to CAPITALONE I got my money back. Today I called the bank. I have no debts. They are frauds. I am not going to call them. It is horrible how they can make people pay for nothing.

I went to file a report with the BBB and found that Collect Pros is owned by the company that sells the products and fraudulently charges credit cards for them.

I got a letter too about a supposed health and wellness product that I was supposed to of gotten from Elite Coupon Deals for 34.94 in June of 2014. The funny thing about it is they used my maiden last name which I haven't used for over 5 years now. I want to know how to get them to stop.

I too have received a collections letter stating that I owe $79.95 and if not paid by May 5, 2015 my payment will be $99.95. I have not received any product other then the trial sample I ordered and paid $6.00 for. They said that this transaction occurred on December 2, 2014. I have yet to check over my records. I have attempted to call them and just get a recording, went to the website and the same number is listed. Saw that you could contact them through email and tried but there was no option for disputing a claim, it was something that didn't even have anything to do with the collection letter or the site. Really is strange that no other bill or any other contact has never been made until this shows up. I am going to go through my bank records and check on the date they said on the phone. Good luck everybody!

This company "collect pros" is a scam. I received the same collection notice claiming I owed money for elite coupon deals two days ago. My response by letter went out in the mail this morning. I advise all of the complaint forum readers to Not call them. They will have your phone number if you do. The business is run out of a house as well as at least 19 other businesses. These are likely to be "shells". The real business owners are very hard to track down. They are very good at what they do and the federal government is not doing enough to investigate and close these people down! They are everywhere and usually operate as LLC's. These unknown individuals are involved with stealing identities, real estate fraud and the list goes on. They operate numerous businesses, most of them entirely fake and conduct no actual business. It's just a place for them to hide the money they swindle out of people. If you do some digging, a lot of digging, you will find out soooo much and it's scary.

Like Tina B, I received a letter in the mail last week from this company with the exact same wording except for the product Elite Coupon Deals for $34.94. I have not idea and haven't called Collect Pros. My personal information was part of a recent Premera hack and I am even more sensitive to scams than usual. I've contacted my ID protection company (as part of the Premera breach) but haven't yet heard back. I live in Washington state.

i received the same letter for pure garcinia they want 79.99 for something i did not order and when it showed up on my wife's debit card we disputed the charges and the bank refunded us our 79.99 back and had us cancel her debit card.she just got a letter for the 79.99 or 99.95 if we do not pay in 30 days.I will be sending a validation of debit notice to this company to dispute the charges if they can not prove it they are in violation of the fair debt collections act.one more thing my wife had used her debit card at a branch location the made the news for a guy getting caught using a skimmer on the atm that's how we caught the charges on our account cause we started looking real close at the activity
