DO THE MATH!

Recommended by a friend as reliable. We live 45 min outside Wpg. We used them for 3 years to open, close and maintain above ground pool. This summer ended our business relationship. The trust is gone.

PROS:

Always polite and followed through.

Quick to respond to calls/emails.

CONS:

1. Don’t provide detailed estimate in writing unless specifically requested.

2. Charge hefty mileage in comparison to other companies AND include travel time in labour costs. A 15 min job ended up costing us $750 labour PLUS mileage PLUS cost of the part.

3. Did not provide us manufacturer’s warranty on new heater. Instead they offered their own warranty if we used them to service it. We contacted the manufacturer for the warranty.

4. Quoted $1600+ to close pool. SAMSON POOLS (where we purchased pool) QUOTED $1300 LESS IN WRITING.

Jack and his crew are the best! No problems are too big for them. They are the go to people.

When I wasn't comfortable with giving my credit card over the phone, when they haven't even come out to look at the heater, he said, "What are you ***" and hung up.

Contacted Jack for an estimate. We were happy with the price and the workmanship. Installed and explained the working of the heater. Cleaned up before they left. 5 star review.

Very personalized service. Willing to answer questions. Proactive in checking all equipment and appliances. Up front on pricing. Cleaned up after each job and checked back to ensure we were satisfied. If something did not work as advertised it was replaced and double checked to ensure we were happy.

They were absolutely amazing. Everything from the moment I called to repairing my pool heater. They were very helpful and definitely knowledgeable with gas pool heaters, They did the repair without hassle and called back to check in to make sure everything was good. We were very happy with the work that Jack provided (new furnace, hot water tank, toilet and water line to our refrigerator). All the people that came to our house to do the work were knowledgable, helpful and provided detailed explanation of the work to be done while ensuring that it was explained to us in easily understood terms. We were provided with options to meet our requirements and budget.

We had the pleasure of working with CJ's Mechanical this month for instillation of a gas line for our new pool heater, and they also took great care of the pool plumbing on short notice. Jack was fantastic from the quote, to keeping in touch as we were working on getting our yard ready to scheduling the time to complete our job especially in such a busy season. CJ and Tyler were amazing, very professional in their work and they went above and beyond to make our pool instillation a breeze. They left the job site neat and clean and were lovely to work with.

CJ and Jack installed a pool heater for me in the summer of 2019, and were fantastic to deal with and went over and above with their installation (cleaned up extra items on their own at no extra cost to ensure I was completely satisfied). Professional and courteous with every interaction I have had. I also had a very small hairline crack on one of the plastic pipes coming out of the heater this spring, and they came out that day to fix it at no extra cost! That is after-service you rarely see! CJ's Mechanical is a very reliable company that provides excellent service. Its highly qualified personnel has installed and maintained our high efficiency furnace, air conditioning, swimming pool heating and filtration system. The quality of service they provide is the absolute best, performed by friendly and pleasant specialists who are always available to answer any questions related to the work. I must also mention that C.J's has consistently offer the best price in terms of labour , materials and equipment. Their response time is very quick when dealing with emergencies, such as when our 20 years old furnace went in 30 degrees Celsius below O weather. I recommend C.J's Mechanical without hesitation.

I had a pool heater installed last week by CJ. I was very impressed with the overall experience. I really appreciated that with a single phone call, I was assured that they would take care of all of the details - and they did. Arrived when promised, competent in their work, courteous, and made sure I was satisfied with everything before they left (the heater itself and the area around the heater). And, if I have questions or I need CJ's to look at the heater later on, they will be there. I know that, because CJ's has looked after my previous pool heater for several years now. Like most things, you get what you pay for. There may be cheaper alternatives, but they likely won't be nearly as effective or convenient.

Our family has done business with Jack and CJ for several years. My parents had a furnace, water tank and pool heater installed and had referred us due to the quality of care taken. We have since had our furnaces inspected many times, water heater installed and have referred several friends for service as well. They are careful to make sure that you get the best warranty registered with the equipment companies and they stand by their service. They are fair in price, do the work as quickly as is possible and treat you like family! We definitely highly recommend. As an ethical business they are upfront about pricing and do their best to make you happy. Nice to have a furnace ( and more ) company that you can rely on.

Last year we had CJ Mechanical install a new furnace, hot water tank and pool heater. Right from the start I felt that we were in good hands. CJ and Tyler were very professional and Jack was in constant communication with us. they coordinated the sub trades very well so we did not wait long at all once the renovation began. We had a couple of service issues this year , the pool heater shut off a couple of times because of the high winds we had early in the spring so CJ installed a stack on the heater to prevent that from ever happening again. At no cost I might add. Excellent customer service. We could not be more impressed. I highly recommend CJ Mechanical and when I change out my air conditioner I know I will be in good hands. Very kind and helpful owners. Our parents used this company for their furnace, pool and water heater over the last few years and they appreciated the service. They referred us and we had them come out with a quote for a new furnace. They were punctual and honest and provided us with all the options. We ultimately had them return for servicing and inspections which we get yearly for our townhouse. We then had our very old water heater replaced. Due to being very happy with the service, we have referred several people to them over the last couple years. All in all, we feel they are thorough, have integrity and are honest. If they can't help, they find someone who can help and make sure, if anything is faulty that the warrantees are applied for and honoured. We will use this company again in our new home.

I moved provinces and had to have my pool opened remotely as a condition of the sale of our house. The pool guy told us the heater wasn't working and recommended Jack. Jack told me he went down, met the new owners of the house and inspected the heater and there had been a nest inside and all the wiring was chewed and the heater was way beyond repair. He told me he wasn't able to get parts for our 4 year old heater and we would need to replace the entire thing starting at a cost of $3500.00. He was very clear that replacement was the only option. We were shocked as the heater had been fine just the previous season.

Thank god I got a second opinion. The second guy came down to see how bad it really was - and to everyone's surprise - there was a single disconnected wire (which is supposed to be disconnected when the pool is shut down for the year). He reconnected it in minutes and the heater was up and running just fine.

*** Now it wasn't him who went down but a new tech guy who went very late at night so he couldn't even see. ***

Jack had decided we needed a new heater before he even went down there.

We have had the pleasure of having CJ's Mechanical Ltd servicing our pool equipment for at least three years and have been very impressed by the service provided. When our relatively new pool heater ceased to function (not installed by CJ's), Jack spent quality time with my husband on the phone suggesting things that we could try to help sustain the heater until the end of the season. Think about this - there was no pressure to buy new or pay for large repair bills just honest assessment of the problem and some good advice. This spring, we decided to get a new heater installed and contacted CJ's. Product and installation were competitively priced and rather flawless. I was particularly impressed that not only was the area around the heater cleaned and organized by CJ and his helper but they cleaned, ziptied and painted other parts of our equipment that were very messy. I came home to a beautifully installed and clean equipment area which should have been done by a previous crew who obviously did not care about leaving things not just clean but lovely as much as CJ does. Last week our twelve year old sand filter cracked and, bless Jack, he found one for us (not an easy thing in this climate of rabid buying recreational supplies) and CJ and helper installed earlier this week. You have no idea how grateful we are for the prompt and courteous service and how impressed I am with the neat and tidy area created. I have been raving to friends and family about the quality of service. Many thanks!
