Unfortunately for all the kind people who work here, the higher ups favor an extremely rude racist old man that works here. From denying service to Hispanics to mumbling racist remarks under his breath, this jerk has it all. I reached out to higher ups to figure out what this guy’s issue is and they don’t care at all. Offered me a gift card and didn’t even attempt to acknowledge this bluntly racist excuse of an employee. I’m not Hispanic, but my family is and I’m so tired of him treating anyone who isn’t white with disrespect. Like man, you work at a gas station… over this company.

There was a serious offence caused by two gas station attendants at citgo gas station on 509 E US Highway 20, Michigan City, IN 46360 · ~3,5 km

I went in the gas station because I thought I was having a heart attack and I ask them to call an ambulance. They stated that they could not use the phone for that purpose and did not use their cell phones either. They did not even move a Muscle or position of their body or facial expression. They acted like I just asked them about the weather. They made no attempt to help me in any way. When I got home I called the ambulance and I have proof of it. I want them fired immediately.

On 7/22/2023 I filled my truck with Citgo gas at the Citgo station on US-15 in Clarksville, VA. I put in almost 18 gallons as I was on empty. The next day my truck would not run. I had it towed to a Toyota dealer and they said my gas had water in it. They gave me a sample that was taken from the tank. The owner refuses to reimburse me the $1471 that I had to pay for the repair.

This gas station has the laziest, rudest, smelliest and most unprofessional workers I have ever encountered. It is under new management and the manager is never there or when he/she is, there is nothing done about the constant complaints. The store is always unclean, trash cans overflow, slushie machines are empty, melted with debris floated inside the syrup, and ice has black chips of something frozen inside of it. A few of the workers smell of marijuana, they will turn off the lottery machine and claim that it is broken. One of workers eats while handling the money and products, which I find to be unclean. Old fruit sits in the baskets rotting, so tonight was my last time visiting this place. It is the closest gas station to my home, so that was my reasoning for being a customer, but enough is enough! I would rather drive 2 or 3 miles before giving this location my business.
Desired outcome: Get new management or new workers who take pride in their jobs and values their customers.
Reimbursement of car repair and a tank of gas, due to bad gas
Dear Citgo Corporate,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the quality of the gas I recently purchased on May 13, 2023 @ 5:26p from one of your gas stations (@ Wheels Citgo #184, 493 Glenbrook Rd., Stamford CT 06906). Unfortunately, the gas was of such poor quality that it caused significant damage to my vehicle about just 9 hours later, resulting in me needing to be towed off the Merritt Parkway at 2:30 AM, missing 2 days of work & $686 in car repairs and a new tank of clean fuel.
I have been a loyal customer of Citgo for many years, and I have always trusted your brand to provide high-quality fuel for my vehicle. However, this recent experience has left me feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated with the quality of your product.
I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and provide some kind of compensation for the damage that has been done to my vehicle. I believe it is only fair that Citgo take responsibility for the poor quality of the fuel and the resulting damage it caused.
*I also have video and pictures of the spark plugs & a sample of the gas that was flushed out of my car (the files were bigger than the 5 MB Limit)

Hello, the gas station by my home has been my go-to for years however, it has previously been purchased by someone else and recently myself and others in my neighborhood have been complaining about vehicle issues and it seems to be caused by the gas and I am now after hearing complaints from others having issues with my vehicle as well and I notified the gas station and they told me I would have to take it up with you guys to resolve the issue. I have a picture of my receipt from the gas station when I received gas and my car started having issues the same day.
Desired outcome: Pay for mechanic fees so I can drive my car to work and bring my kids to school.
Rewards card
I had a Citgo Rewards Card for a few months. Citgo uses Synchrony Bank and let me tell you, this bank is crooked. I started using the card and I get notified that a payment was sent back. I called my bank where the payment came from and they advised me that Citgo attempted to pull money out of the Savings account and not the Checking account where the money was sitting. I spoke to Synchrony and immediately received horrible customer service. I was told this is your problem, not ours. We can't help you. The representatives I spoke to were extremely rude, confrontational and unhelpful. I contact my bank and they are not sure why the payment didn't go through because it should have come out of the Checking to cover what was taken from the savings. My bank tells me to give them another account number that goes directly to the checking account. They think this will prevent any further issues. I do this and speak to yet another one of Citgo's representatives and am immediately given the same rude, unhelpful attitude and this rep is also very confrontational. 2 months go by and the payments are working fine. on the 3rd month, the same issue arises. I call Synchrony Bank because Citgo says go through them because that's who handles the Citgo rewards cards. It's Citgo but they go through a 3rd party bank for their rewards program. Synchrony again says not our problem. They tell me to delete the old account information except when I try, it won't let me. They said oh well we can't help you. Then the 4th month, they've charged the wrong account again. They refused to correct their mistake after being told numerous times. They noticed their error and still refused to correct the error. However, this time, they have closed the account for non payment. I call yet again and the rep even tells me they see the error but there's nothing they can do. Citgo should seriously get away from Synchrony as I know other people who had similar problems with Synchrony and it looks bad on Citgo because Citgo allows Synchrony bank to represent them. From now on, I will not do any business with Citgo period. I know others who have stopped doing business with Citgo. Citgo, you are losing money because you choose to allow Synchrony to continue this game they are playing.
Desired outcome: I believe the account should be reopened as I have attempted to correct errors but Synchrony bank refuses to cooperate on behalf of Citgo.
Rude attendant
I pulled into the parking lot on 1/17 around 10pm and half the pumps were closed. There was one pump open so I pulled around and faced my car to the pump on the passenger side of my car. The gas attendant started screaming at me about a one way pump line. He kept pointing up to a sign near the roof. I have never heard of a station only allowing people to pull thru one way. Regardless he screamed and embarrassed me to the point where I said ok well now you just lost my business. I would get gas here quite often and no one ever screamed about a one way before but then again, all the pumps have always been open but I usually don't go there this late. I will never get gas at this station ever again. I was horrified being screamed at like that. There are 4 other stations with no weird rules or rude attendants and they are all neiboring your station here so it's no skin off my back.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology and that guy for sure needs to be spoken to.

I bought a gas card there I didn’t keep the receipt. I didn’t spend the entire amount on the card it was in sept 22. I just went to use is & it showed 0 on the account. This isn’t the first time this occurred I bought a couple cards I’ve lost money a couple bucks but just let it go. But this time it was around 20 dollars. Again I didn’t keep a receipt. So no proof but remember I’m done patronizing you business. I will simply buy my gas & supplies elsewhere. Remember customer loyalty. It is a big plus’s when your in business because I no longer trust you & I will certainly warn others

Today around 1:15 p.m. at the Citgo fuel station located at Citgo 10770 Indianapolis Blvd, Hammond Indiana 46320 A cashier at the first window near the store entrance shorted me .96 cents after purchasing cigarettes and gas, when I ask for my correct change, the cashier said it was in the shoot slot behind the protected class window. My question was how was I supposed to get my change behind your protected glass counter, this person replied I don't have to be rude. Really, for asking for my correct change. Cashier number 2 told me to get out of their store.
After leaving the store to proceed to pump 6 to pump $80.00 worth of gas, I returned to receive cash back, cashier number 1 and cashier number 2
refused to wait on me and told me to go to cashier number 3 to receive my cash back owed after pumping my gas.
I can see why the reviews from this Citgo location are so horrible. My first thought was to seek an Attorney advice for this unwanted experience with Cashier number 1 and number 2 refusing to serve me simply because I wanted my correct change given to me. This is a shining example of unprofessional behavior and why this store employees have so many complaints and unsatisfied customers. Lack of signs that gas was out of order
I paid $28 at the pump on 91st in milwaukee, no gas was coming out the attendant called me in the stor to tell me the gas was out of order, that was my last I needed to get to work. He said it’s signs on the pump, but I took pics which proved the contrary. I also have the receipt. This is ridiculous put bags over the pump like everyone else if it’s out of order!
Desired outcome: A simple gas card doubling my purchase which was taken due to lack of being able to go to work & the stress behind this huge inconvenience

I was at the Citgo on 44th Street in Kentwood Michigan around 2pm today. I stopped to purchase a drink and snack. When I approached the line I noticed it was moving very, very slowly. There were 4-5 of us in line. The young man working the register was polite, but unsure of himself and going slowly. There was a second person (a young girl) near the register that was organizing or sorting scratch off tickets and did not offer to open a register. After a few more minutes of the line not moving, I looked back near the soda machines at the third Citgo employee(an older women) who was chatting it up loudly with customers, hoping that she would see that the line wasnt moving and come help.
Instead, she said to the customers she was talking to; "this is the second time someone in line has looked back at me with a crappy look on their face." I said, "maybe you could help get us out of here?" She threw up her hands and said; "there is already two people up there. What do you want me to do about it?!" Then, turned away and kept talking to the people close to her.
I understand sometime lines move slow. A little positive communication goes a long way.. sorry for your wait, we will be right with you.. Not, "this is hte second time someone has given me a crappy look"
I am a professional and manager and feel this should be addressed. I work less than a mile from there and am considering boycotting the store if I do not get a response.

Gas price changes
Nov 2, 2022 - about 4pm.
Citgo at the Fruit Ridge exit on I-96 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Prices were going up and I pulled into this station while the price still said $3.74 on the big sign. Pulled up to the pump and it said $3.74. As I was getting ready to pump my gas, the price jumped to $4.29 (while the big sign still stated $3.74). A few minutes later an employee came out and changed the big sign. I asked him how he could change the pump prices before he changed the big sign. He said "that's how our system works - sorry".

Gas station employee completely devoid of integrity
I purchased 6 or 7 $20 instant lottery tickets from the gas station. After I scratched my last ticket purchased, I realized the fourth ticket in the ticket order was missing and 1 out of 4 was the odds for this specific ticket. The attendant working at the gas station, took the fourth ticket for himself, WHILE ON THE CLOCK, and I’m guessing purchased it after his shift, if he even paid for it at all. So basically, I paid for all the losing tickets so this low-life can pay nothing to get the winnings. And when I went in to complain, I was told, “There is nothing we can do about it!” Well I spent A LOT of money at Primart, which I will no longer do and I will literally make it my new mission to tell literally EVERYONE I know what kind of people Primart employs! And I will continue to complain until the trash is taken out at the that specific store.

$29 return check charge
I have a citgo credit card and my monthly bill was &115.53. I called citgo on the phone to make the payment. The next day there were two charges for $115.53 from citgo. One payment went thru and the other was pending. I called my bank and they put a stop payment on the pending charge. The next thing I know citgo has charged me $29 for a return check fee. I have called customer service three times to get the $29 reversed. As of now the $29 still remains on my account.
Desired outcome: Reverse the $29
Only one time I got the gas discount CITGO offers by using their card. I follows all the pump screen direction and nothing. Sometimes the card got stuck or card is rejected. I tried to do it with the gas station worker and the results are the same. No savings at all.
Give me the right directions about how to use the card step by step.
