I had deactivated my subscription to ChefsPlate back at the beginning of July because I knew I wouldn’t be in the city until September — I had even received confirming the latter. However, two days ago I opened my emails to find that “a box had been successfully delivered” and that I had been charged $59 on my account, putting me in debt as there been nothing but $10 in there prior to that. I can’t even login to the app, because my account no longer exists, so I don’t know how in the world this managed to happen. I need a refund or a credit asap but they’re not picking up the phone let alone being helpful on their chat bot.

I had several weeks of deliveries skipped as I was not in the city until yesterday when I saw a charge of $ 47.85 on my debit card. I immediately cancelled my subscription and called the customer service. The person on the call was unemphatic and just kept saying how he "understands what I am going through". I told him very clearly that I have vacated the house and that it is empty - meaning that the food that ChefsPlate will ship 3 days from now will GUARANTEED go to waste. I was appalled to learn that there is "NOTHING" ChefsPlate can do in this day and age 3 DAYS before a delivery to stop the package to not being delivered. They would rather have the whole thing rot in the sun sitting on someone'e porch than do anything. This is very poor ethics. I am aghast to know that they would rather make that $ 47.85 AND let the food rot out in the sun than refund me and redirect the delivery!
Desired outcome: Refund my $ 47.85 and DON'T deliver - even just donate the food if you have to! because, it is headed towards ROTTING in the sun in 3 days time

I have tried unsuccessfully to have it refunded back to me as they are telling me it was put back in my account March 17. I contacted my bank to verify and there was no such refund after March 16. They insist it was refunded giving me 2 different dates and 2 different confirmation numbers. I asked for a payment trace as that amount may have been deposited, but not in my account. I was told I would be contacted regarding the trace, but never was. On Aug 28 I requested a supervisor contact me and have not heard back.

This WAS not told to me when I ordered nor would I have ordered this meal knowing it was more money. *** it tokk them 2 weeks to readjust my price without informing me after the fact. ***. When I contacted them all i got was a sorry you made a mistake... NOPE I didn't I have the receipt to prove it.

I had an online membership with Chefs Plate
I had an online membership with Chefs Plate. They have a default weekly delivery unless a client doesn't skip. They used to sent an email before delivery is finalized(can't be cancelled). I skipped delivery for their maximum allowed period, that was long enough. Last week I was browsing their site and noticed that I have a delivery soon that can't be cancelled. Without any email notification. Also I noticed that they significantly reduced the maximum allowed period to skip deliveries. When I called, they said I missed their email. But when I talked to my friends, I found out that the same thing happened to them and they are sure they had that week skipped. I recall I skipped this week too, but apparently Chefs Plate reduced the skipping period and their system erased that data. This business changed their policies without notifying clients *** I paid for the items I don't need and don't like. After my first call they returned me 50%. But now I realized there was no my fault at all, and I want to be fully refunded.

This was a subscription that I signed up for on I believe April 13. I was within the timeline of their policy regarding cancellations which is quite clear on their website, including the deadline time of 11:59pm EST. On April 23 I received a reply back from *** stating they would cancel but will be sending the delivery on April 29. I replied back to them stating as I was within the cancellation deadline for the April 29 order, I did not wish to receive that order and could they credit the $115.72 that had been charged to my credit card. I received a response back from *** stating that I would be receiving the delivery and the order could not be cancelled.
