vehicle registration fraud
I was redirected to this ap for my car registration and processed payment and have a receipt that I snipped from the transaction.
Since February 2, 2020 I have been waiting for my registration and went to investigate why my registration had not been processed, the DMV website showed it as outstanding. So then I went to the texascarregistration.org website to a giant disclaimer that said "this website isn't affiliated with any government agencies. Then the fraud notices starting appearing on line. I have been frauded, mislead, lied to and stolen from.
this site is attached to the dmvflorida.gov somehow and it is a scam.
I wanted to renew my car's registration and my state website redirected me to www.car-registration.org. I didn't know that it was scam and filled the form and was charged for 19.99 plus $3.99 additional fee. After couple of days I only understood that it was fake website. I would like a refund. I have no need for this service and thought I was actually registering my car. Their email address doesn't work "admin@onlinecarregistration.org" and they don't answer their phone 1-800-793-3679. This site is a scam.
routed to a site masquerading as a legitimate state-specific vehicle registration site
I too was charged $23.95 for unwanted services without ever reaching a screen where I could actually renew my registration. Immediately after I called the contact number and reached a call center; my impression was it was outside the United States. I heatedly demanded a refund and was threatened with a hang-up if I didn't listen to the "scripted" speech. I listened and was told charges would be refunded within 15 days. I then called my credit card company and was told the $3.95 or 3.99 was both charged and then credited immediately. The remaining balance had not even appeared at that time. If it does then I will contest it.
Probably not legally a scam, but extremely misleading. I too told the company I would be contacting the Virginia State Attorney General's office and filling out a complaint. I also notified the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles about the incident.

did not want this
Oplates web site redirected me to Car Registration. .org.. I did not know this and I bought their lame membership that I did not want. It was 3.99 .. 2 days later I was charged for renewal of someone's license in a different state It was 19.99 I received no email informing me of this charge.. I found it on my charge card statement. I contacted these theem and the canceled my membership and said they will put the funds (19.99) back in my account. 3 weeks later I call .. and now they want a copy of my bank card statement to prove I was actually charged. I'm putting it in dispute with my bank . I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and the Ohio attorney General to notify that theses scammers are out there.
website
This website disguises itself as the state registration site to deceive people into giving credit card information for vehicle registration. It's even the first search result for dmv. Ca.gov online. On a computer, I would have typed the url directly, but my phone autocorrected the search setting to take me to this scam site. Since it's deliberately designed to look like a vehicle registration site, I was tricked by these thieves, and now need to replace my credit card.
online car registration
I thought this was were I was suppose to go for a new registration and pay for vehicle taxes..I was first charged $3.99 (in which I paid by debit card) and then I realized I've never had to pay anything upfront before.
I then closed my browser and searched for the correct website for NC Vehicle Registration and found what I needed the first time. I just thought I got scammed once for that small fee and didn't worry about it, until an unauthorized charge was made by carregistration.org (from Florida)a week later for the amount of $19.99.
I've contacted my bank and notified them about this obvious scam. This site is misleading and taking people's money like it's owed to them. Please stop them from taking any more money from innocent tax paying citizens.

scamming car registration renewal website
This website is where you are automatically taken when trying to renewal your state registration. It appears as if this is the website and process you must take when renewing but it is very deceiving in that they charge you for some type of road guide you do not need and never intended to purchase. Whe. Calling their customer service number to explain myself for a refund, they keep the $3.99 processing fee so basically rob you of an otherwise delicious Starbucks beverage. If you are on the correct state registration renewal site, there should be no additional charges so be careful when searching and beware of this website that takes your money!

fee charged for car registration
I was attempting to locate the DMV in California and carregistration.org is cunningly positioning itself from the Google search as a link required for paying vehicle registration fees. The California DMV does have authorized, secure, state approved vendors that once a citizen begins going through the online official DMV website citizens are directly linkef to the secure, authorized vendor for processing. I am a retired state employee where I had special department of Justice clearance to access DMV records via approved vendor as part of my job with peace officers. Please expedite a complete refund of debits on my bank account for monied erroneously deducted and all pending debits on my Visa Debit. I will notify the DMV and my bank as well as the appropriate whistle-blower agency to report carregistration.org and [protected] as yet another illegal SCAM that has found a way to imbed it's company information into Google searches when unsuspecting citizens search for federal and state official website. It is worrisome thar Medicare, Social Security and other government agency are experiencing fraudulation sites that mislead the public into believing they have reached an official website or link when in fact they have not. I encourage any one who has had the same experience with this company or any other website in searches for government websites to report your experience to those agencies. The more we can be proactive and report, the better chances these companies will be unable to pose as official government agencies. Be sure to let your bank and credit card company know, too.
