Vudu Vudu customer service is horrible!

VUDU CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! You can call the customer service number and be disconnected numerous times, and they never attempt to call you back! I wrote the following letter to VUDU customer service:

I would like to be contacted by a representative of VUDU located in the United States of America, the reason I am requesting this is that the foreign company that you have contracted with to do customer service for Vudu customers is totally incompetent, and the customer service they provide is ridiculously bad! It's not only a communication problem, It's obvious they don't give a damn about providing good customer service, all they do is give you the runaround in resolving problems. You can call numerous times on an issue you're having with a VUDU movie, and they do not resolve it! I do not understand why a customer of Vudu cannot speak to a customer service representative located in the United States of America, especially when the present customer service, which is located outside, the USA is so horribly bad! I have a big investment in Vudu Movies and I would appreciate receiving good customer service when I have a problem. I really cannot believe how horrible and ridiculously bad the present customer service is, that is being provided by your company!

Vudu Rude customer service

I was purchasing a video, the purchase was going through, when it was thrown out and the price was raised.

I called your customer service department and they said I needed to send them a screen shot of the original purchase!

How was I to know my original purchase price would be thrown automatically out? There is no information on your website to tell a person this.

Your Customer Service Dept. and manager wanted a screen shot. I told them to look into the system and there is no notice on the screen of what to do.

THEY HUNG UP ON ME, very rude.

My husband is requesting an apology from your employees and Manager, Supervisor for their rude behavior and impossible request to take a screen shot.

We are long, long time customers and they were rude and hung up on us. This has never happened before.

If we cannot get assistance, we will file with the credit, consumer, legal entities.

We have been loyal customers, recommended you highly... never had any difficulty, and rarely requested assistance. We were always helped and treated well.

Not so this time

Sounds just like my experience with them last night. Bought a movie that never ended up in my account. Charged my card, claimed they had no record of it. When I provided proof of purchase, they ignored me and hung up on me. Over a $12 movie! I've purchased 700+ movies from them, and have been a loyal customer for years. Needless to say, I had to contact my bank for a refund because Vudu is incompetent, combative, and downright rude. What is the point of Customer Service if you treat your customers like garbage? Worst I've ever encountered.

Vudu VUDU's Lack of Support for Missing Movies and TV Series is Frustrating and Unacceptable

I am a big fan of movies and I love to buy them. Over the years, I have redeemed a lot of codes from the movies I have purchased and also taken advantage of the sales that VUDU has offered. However, I have noticed that VUDU has been taking away some of the movies and TV series that I own. This has been happening for quite some time now and it is really frustrating.

I contacted their support team and they gave me a generic response that did not help me with my issue. I have been replying to them for weeks but I never get a real response, just some automated response. I even called their phone support but they were not helpful at all. They did not even want to check my account to verify anything and just made up some excuses.

The best response I got from them was when they told me that I needed to have proof of all the codes I redeemed with a huge list of information they wanted per movie. When you have hundreds of movies and you have no clue which ones are missing, it becomes a real problem. They will not look into this issue even though if you Google them taking content, you will find that it has happened to many people, some even losing over 400 titles. Most people do not get it fixed because support is not helpful.

I am shocked that over the years, not enough people have done a class action lawsuit against them. I guess most people are either too lazy or used to getting scammed and it is a normal thing in their life, so it is no big deal.

Recently, I redeemed Conan and it was missing from my library. I have proof that I redeemed it okay in VUDU billing, but it is missing when I try to watch it. VUDU will not help me and they are clueless. They have to stick to an automated script on phone and email support.

In my opinion, VUDU is a con and I am sick of being conned with digital content. There are hardly any laws to protect the consumer for digital goods, which is really frustrating.

Vudu Vudu Review: Complicated, Disorganized, and Not Worth the Hassle

Me and my family decided to give Vudu a try after receiving a promo code for a free movie. Let me tell you, the process to redeem that code was a real pain in the neck. First, we had to enter a code and then all of our personal information just to get a second code that could only be used after signing up for a Vudu account. It was a long and unnecessary process, but we finally got through it.

Once we logged into the site, we were met with a disorganized mess. It was hard to sort out rentals from purchases, new releases from older ones, and even family movies from adult ones. We had to sift through everything until we found what we wanted. And to make matters worse, not all of the movies accepted the promo code, and there was no way to narrow down the search to only show movies that did.

We decided to watch the movie on our TV through our Roku, but we couldn't even enter the promo code on the TV. We looked through all of the menu options, but it just wasn't there. So, we ended up watching the movie on the computer after all. But when we tried to use the promo code, it wouldn't work. It didn't even say the code was invalid, it just said it wouldn't work. After over an hour of trying to figure it out, we finally gave up and drove to the Red Box down the street to rent the movie for $1.99.

Honestly, it was worth it. I wish we had just done that to begin with and not even bothered with Vudu. The platform is just too complicated and disorganized to use, and it doesn't even work as advertised. I wouldn't recommend Vudu to anyone. Why waste your time and money on a platform that's just going to give you a headache?

Vudu Review of Vudu Streaming Service: Issues with Voucher Redemption and Support Team Response

I recently tried out Vudu's streaming service after receiving a voucher for my initial use. The terms seemed simple enough, but I ran into some issues when trying to redeem my voucher. I couldn't find a list of eligible movies from the vendor who provided the voucher, so I chose a film that I thought would align with the terms. However, I later noticed that my card had been charged for the rental.

I reached out to Vudu's support team and provided them with an explanation of the charges, as well as physical and digital copies of the voucher. They were quick to respond, which I appreciated, but my issue needed to be reviewed by another department. Unfortunately, that department rejected my request and instead sent me a link to eligible movies. I was frustrated that this link wasn't provided to me earlier, as it would have saved me a lot of trouble.

I understand that it could be the fault of the vendor for not providing a clear list of eligible movies, but I think it's important for Vudu to make sure that account credits and their application are clear and easy to understand. It's frustrating to feel like I'm being insulted by being sent a link that was supposedly always available, when it wasn't listed in the terms of my voucher or provided to me earlier.

In the end, I had to resort to AmEx to resolve the situation for me, and I will be canceling my account with Vudu. I think it's important for companies to make sure that their terms and conditions are clear and easy to understand, and that their support teams are able to provide helpful and timely assistance. While I appreciated the quick response from Vudu's support team, I think there is room for improvement in terms of clarity and accessibility of information.

Vudu Terrible Customer Service Experience with Vudu: A Warning to All Buyers

So, I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Vudu. I bought a movie on sale, but then realized that the special edition was also on sale for the same price. I emailed them to see if I could switch, but I never heard back. I even followed up twice and still nothing. So, I decided to call. I was on hold for an hour before I opted to have them call me back. But, surprise surprise, they never did. I called again the next day and finally got through to someone named Hector. He told me it was my fault for not calling right away (what?) and that he couldn't exchange the title. But, he said I could buy the special edition and he would credit me for the first version I bought. That would have been fine, but the special edition was now twice the price it was when I first bought the movie. When I asked why I couldn't get a full credit, he got really rude and told me "screw you." I couldn't believe it. I've been a customer for over 10 years and have spent so much money on movies. This is easily the worst customer service I've ever received. Shame on you, Vudu.

Vudu Vudu.com Review: High-Quality Streaming with Walmart Partnership

So, I've been on the hunt for the best movie site out there, and I gotta say, vudu.com is definitely up there. The HD quality is top-notch and it works on a variety of devices, like your PC, PS3, and even your TV, Blu-ray player, or media device that has it installed, like Boxee.

I gave it a try on both my PC and PS3 and it worked like a charm. The best part? I got a free credit to try out a movie rental on my PC and another one to try out on my PS3. I was able to see for myself that it works, and I even got to watch a movie that I had been dying to see. The site works on a credit system, so there's no subscription required.

All you have to do is link your debit or credit card to your account and that's where you'll be charged for any purchases or rentals. It's super easy and convenient.

I actually tried out vudu.com a few months ago, but what brought me back was the fact that Walmart is now partnering up with them to offer streaming movie rentals on the Walmart site. Yes, you read that right. Walmart is now offering online movie rentals. As soon as I heard about it, I had to check it out.

Here's how the rental/purchase policy works: if you purchase a movie, it's stored permanently on your device. If you rent a movie, it stays on your device unwatched for 30 days. Once you hit play, you have a 24-hour viewing period before your rental expires. Within that 24-hour period, you can watch the movie as many times as you want. Some independent studios even allow for a 48-hour viewing period. After your rental expires, you can extend it for a discounted price on most titles. This option is available for 7 days following the expiration of the original rental.

The prices are pretty reasonable, and if you have the bandwidth and the movie is worth it (because let's face it, not all movies are), the HDX movies look and sound amazing. For a typical new release, here's what you can expect to pay:

To rent:
- $5.99 for HDX
- $4.99 for HD
- $3.99 for SD

To purchase:
- $19.99 for HDX
- $19.99 for HD
- $14.99 for SD

They also have rental and purchase deals on older movies, but I didn't really see anything that caught my eye. Walmart is offering 2 days for $2 on some "older" movies, but some of them date back to the early 1900s. I'm not even kidding.

Overall, I'm really impressed with vudu.com. The HD quality is fantastic, it's easy to use, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, with Walmart now offering streaming movie rentals through the site, it's even more convenient. I'll definitely be using this site again in the future.

Vudu Disappointing Experience with Vudu's Customer Service and Movie Transfer Process

So, like, I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with Vudu. I was trying to transfer my movies from FandangoNow, which is owned by the same company as Vudu, and my movies just disappeared! Like, what the heck, man? I called customer service and had to wait on hold for an hour, and when I finally got through, the guy sounded like he was talking from underwater or something. He told me they had to separate my rentals from my purchases before they could transfer them, which seems like something a computer should be able to do automatically, right? But he couldn't even tell me how long it would take, and I only had 12 movies to transfer! I tried calling again and waited for an hour and a half, but no one answered. So I called Fandango, and they just transferred me back to Vudu without any explanation. And get this, when I asked to speak to management, they said it would take five days for them to get back to me! Five days! Like, what kind of customer service is that? And Vudu has a chat interface, but no one ever answers it.

I've been using FandangoNow for two years and never had any problems. They even answered their phones when I had a question about playback. And I liked that I had two days to watch the movies, since I'm usually too busy to watch them all at once. But Vudu only gives you 24 hours, which seems pretty lame to me. I hope they can get their act together and start hiring more people to answer the phones and chat lines. And maybe they could at least warn us about the delays instead of leaving us on hold forever. I mean, come on, Vudu, get it together!

Vudu VUDU Review: Horrible Customer Service and Account Security

I used to love VUDU, it was my go-to for all my movie needs. I had a total of 62 movies on my account and I loved being able to access them on the go. However, my experience with VUDU turned from good to horrible in a matter of days.

One day, I couldn't log in to my account. I called customer service and found out that my account had been taken over by someone else. They told me that they would review my case and get back to me in 5 days. In the meantime, I had them delete my billing information. I kept calling back, but I never heard anything from them. Two weeks went by and still no resolution. I was able to verify all the billing information and card number used on the account, but still no help. Three weeks and four weeks went by and still nothing. They told me that my case had to be submitted to the top tier because they were the only ones who could make decisions based on payments. I was told that I couldn't speak with the top tier people and that they would only email me when they were ready. Still, nothing happened.

Now, I have lost access to my 62 movies that I paid for and can prove, but it doesn't matter. They can't change anything because the person who called and changed the account to their name has all the billing information too. It's a complete and utter mess. They told me that I could dispute the charges with my bank, but that would result in my account being locked and never accessed again. They even told me that I would only recover the money for the movies I purchased through VUDU and none of the digital copies out there. Even then, they said that they could not guarantee that since I admitted to buying the movies when I was speaking with them on the phone.

VUDU's customer and managerial services are completely horrible. It's not rocket science to see that a person used their card to purchase movies and say, "Okay, this is who the movies belong to." They do not take care of their customers or their customers' private account information. They get out of it by citing their "policies" in place that create these so-called rules.

I would not recommend using VUDU. It may be great for a while, but the moment an issue arises where you need to call them for help, you will be left feeling robbed and helpless. It's a horrible feeling, and they don't care. The worst part is that they could do the right thing, but they choose not to.

Vudu VUDU's Disc to Digital Discount Scam: Don't Risk Losing Your Movies!

I gotta say, I usually only use VUDU for redeeming movies, but sometimes they got some sweet deals on movies I love. But then they came out with this Disc to Digital thing for PC, and they said if you converted more than 10 of your current movies, you'd get a discount of half off. So I started scanning my movies on Thursday night, and when I woke up in the morning I finished another two movies. The discount specifically said it would apply at checkout and not to worry about the full price amount. So I went to check out where it displayed which movies I had selected, and then I went to order and BAM! No discount was applied.

I called them up as soon as they opened, and after waiting on hold for like 25 minutes (which is crazy because they had just opened), I reached a customer service agent who couldn't do anything for me. And I mean exactly what I just said, this was her actual response to me when I explained the issue. She said that the way their system was set up, there was no way for them to give a discount on a purchase or refund a purchase, REGARDLESS OF THE REASON, because there was no way for them to know that it wasn't already downloaded to the PC. She apologized and said that the half off sale ended midnight (just 7 hours before I made the call), and even though VUDU did not notify me that stuff in my cart was no longer half off, they were not responsible for the error with the discount. I thought this was a joke. I asked if she could just remove my entire disc to digital order and suspend access to those movies because I didn't want them for the full price. Her reply, again, was that there was NO WAY for movies to be refunded or discounted once they were purchased.

I asked if I could dispute the charge with my bank because she was sure she could not do anything for me at all. Her response was this, and this is what should scare any customer away:

If you file a dispute with your bank, and it becomes a chargeback, your VUDU account will be suspended.

I laughed at first and asked if she was serious because I had tons of movies in my collection that were already redeemed or paid for, and she said that she was serious and that my account would be suspended. I asked about what would happen to all the movies I've paid for or redeemed, and she replied "I don't think you'll lose access to them, or you shouldn't anyways". In other words, if I dispute the charge with my bank, I could stand to lose all of my movies.

So, I gotta say, don't EVER purchase anything from VUDU unless you're absolutely sure that regardless of what issue arises, you're okay with losing the money you've invested in the movies you have with them. It's just not worth the risk.

Vudu Frustrating Experience with VUDU's Tech Support and App Performance

I gotta say, I got a whole lot of movies on VUDU's site, like 833 of them! I was trying to watch Xanadu, don't judge me, it's my guilty pleasure, haha! But it wouldn't play, it just kept loading and loading, even though I gave it a good 5 minutes. All my other movies played just fine, so I'm guessing it was just that one. I tried watching it on Edge, IE, and Chrome, and then I tried it on my laptop with IE, Chrome, and Firefox, but still no luck. So I contacted their tech support and told them what was going on. The next day, they got back to me asking for info I already gave them! They wanted to know what version of the app I was using and what movie it was, even though I told them it was through a browser and Xanadu. So I gave them all the info again, and let them know that they already had half of it. But then they got back to me the next day and asked for the same exact info they did in the previous ticket! And they wanted me to uninstall and reinstall the app. I mean, how many times do I gotta tell them I'm not even using the app? It's like they're not even reading my messages!

I've had two replies from VUDU tech support, and I'm still no closer to getting my movie to play. It's frustrating, you know? And this isn't the first time I've had trouble with their app. Two years ago, I had another problem with it, and they told me to use the browser instead. They said they'd contact me when they found a fix to their known problem, but two years later, I asked about my ticket and they told me they stopped using that program, so they never found a fix. I mean, come on, guys, you couldn't even bother to let me know? I had to open a new ticket just to get an answer from them.

The only reason I still use VUDU is because when they were in beta testing, I converted a whole bunch of my Blu-ray movies to digital. I'm stuck with them now, unless I want to repurchase them on a different site. And it's relatively easy to convert physical Blu-rays into having a digital copy, which is so much easier to take my library anywhere I go. Right now, my physical copies are taking up 3 bookshelves!

Their customer service and usability were so much better when they were in beta. I'm guessing once they got enough people to sign up, they realized people were stuck and couldn't go anywhere else. Of course, iTunes isn't any better, but who knows, maybe they've changed in the last 3 years, haha!

Vudu VUDU Review: Corporate Clowns Who Don't Care About Customers

I have had a lot of issues with VUDU since I signed up with them. It's frustrating because I knew what I was getting into, but I still went ahead and signed up. It's like I'm the perfect customer for Walmart and VUDU because I don't expect good service, respect, or privacy when it comes to my information.

There was so much hype around VUDU, and people were raving about how convenient it was. But I knew better. There's always a price tag attached to convenience, and when it comes to anything digital, companies like VUDU and Walmart have taken away our rights as consumers.

Think about it: these companies have created their own space, called it "The Cloud," and sold us on the idea that we can both lease and buy from them at the same time. It's like two different actions occupying the same space. I'm not a scientist, but even as an English major, I know that this is impossible.

These companies intentionally create products that don't fulfill their promises. Every time I call their service center, I spend over 30 minutes waiting for tech support, or I have to take time off work to stand in long lines waiting to talk to short-tempered techs. It's clear that these companies don't care about their customers.

Walmart, VUDU, and other companies like Amazon and Google are all the same. They're all corporate clowns who care more about power than money. They've sold us on the idea of wanting what we want, when we want it, and getting it before we even know we want it.

VUDU isn't even trying to be as good as Amazon Prime Time Video, but they still make promises they can't keep. It's frustrating as a consumer to be constantly lied to.

It's time for us to ask ourselves what we're willing to sacrifice in order to demand good business practices from companies like VUDU. We need to start rooting for the hackers because they're the only ones keeping these companies on their toes.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for someone to figure out how to put my movies on a disc without Sam Walton's permission. It's amazing how we now have to root for the hackers just to get what we want.

Vudu Disappointing Experience with VUDU: Too Many Ads in Sons of Anarchy Season 6

I recently purchased Season 6 of Sons of Anarchy on VUDU, and I have to say, I was disappointed with the experience. When my family and I sat down to watch the first episode, we were bombarded with promos and ads before the show even started. And to make matters worse, there were more ads at the end of the episode, and even more when we started the second episode. It felt like we were spending more time watching ads than actually watching the show!

I reached out to VUDU's customer service team to request a refund for the $19.99 I spent on the SD edition of SOA, but was told that they don't offer refunds once you've started watching the episodes. How was I supposed to know that the download would be filled with ads? I refuse to pay for a season of a show that's filled with ads and promos. It's bad enough having to sit through them at the beginning of a DVD, but having to deal with them throughout the entire season is just ridiculous.

One of the customer service reps suggested that I use the fast forward button to skip through the ads, but come on, if I'm going to have to do that, I might as well just record the show from TV and use my remote to skip through the ads. What's the point of purchasing from VUDU if they're not providing any real benefit?

I've decided to go back to buying hard copy DVDs or using a more reputable source like Amazon, who actually offers refunds if you're not satisfied with your purchase. Or, I'll just set my old Tivo to record all the shows and skip through the ads that way. It's a shame, because I was really excited to try out VUDU, but the experience was just not worth it.

Vudu VUDU's Terrible Customer Service: A Review of Their Mishandling of a Digital Copy Issue

So, I recently got my hands on the new Ninja Turtle Movie (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and it came with a free digital copy through VUDU code. I was pretty excited to watch it, so I went to my VUDU account, entered the code, and picked the movie. However, when I started watching it, I realized that it was the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie from the 80s, I think. It wasn't the 2014 version that I had bought.

I was pretty disappointed, so I contacted VUDU through my account and explained the situation. They asked me to provide pictures of the receipt, movie cover, Vudu code card, and generic insert that is in every Vudu digital movie. I sent all of that as soon as possible. They replied that "they would look into it and get back to me in 3 business days". However, I didn't hear back from them until the 5th business day. And when they did reply, it was to tell me that the original movie was the one that was offered in the new 2014 box as digital. I call total BS on that! I did not buy the original movie, I did not want the original movie, and the package did not state that the original digital copy was included. It clearly stated that a digital copy of the 2014 movie I purchased was included.

I was pretty upset with their response. It felt like they were just giving me lip service when they said they would check into it. They just waited 5 days and then blew me off. I will definitely be more careful in the future when purchasing any movie that includes anything from VUDU. Their customer support was terrible.

It would have been a simple fix for them to take the original movie from my account and add the 2014 version that I paid for. But they didn't even bother to do that. I'm pretty disappointed with VUDU's customer service and I hope they improve it in the future.

Vudu Decent Service, Terrible Customer Support: My Experience with VUDU

I've been using VUDU for a while now, and I gotta say, it's a pretty decent service. I like to get my blu-ray movies and redeem the digital codes, and sometimes I even buy movies directly from them when there's a good deal. Plus, I've got my UV accounts all set up with them, so it's pretty convenient.

But let me tell you, their customer service is a real piece of work. I accidentally made a purchase because their website didn't prompt me properly to confirm my order. I let VUDU know right away, and I never even touched the movies that came with the bundle. I called them up, and after waiting on hold for like 15-20 minutes, I finally got through to someone who didn't seem too sure of themselves, but they said I'd get a refund. That was on February 8th. I never heard back from them, never got a confirmation number for the call or anything. So I called back on February 14th, and after another long wait, I finally got through to someone who said they'd have to look into it and put me on hold for another 10 minutes.

Finally, the rep came back on and apologized for the long wait time. They said I'd hear back from them in the next 3-4 days, on top of the week I'd already waited. But then today, I got an email from them saying I was out of luck.

Honestly, I'll still use VUDU for my blu-ray digital redemptions, but I'm not gonna be a customer of theirs in any other capacity. They really dropped the ball on this one.

Vudu Vudu Review: Great for Casual Rentals, But Not Reliable for Important Events

Vudu is a streaming service that we use for renting movies. Sometimes, it doesn't work properly and has issues with bandwidth. This can cause the resolution to drop to 480 or lower to prevent buffering. This is a common problem that happens on weekends and other high-use times, and it depends on your internet service provider. If you're planning on having a movie night with friends or family, it's better to purchase or rent a DVD. Imagine having your 8-year-old over with their friends, all excited to watch a movie, only to find out that the service is down or slow. Or worse, imagine being on a third date with someone special and your Vudu keeps buffering!

If you decide to purchase movies from Vudu and keep them in your account, you should be aware that there may be server crashes, server changes, upgrades, and other issues that could cause your account to be lost, deleted, or damaged. Vudu will be happy to help you reestablish your account, but if you don't have receipts showing the movies you purchased, you could lose all of your purchases. To make matters worse, Vudu doesn't email receipts of purchases, so they're only kept in your account, which could be lost or damaged.

In conclusion, Vudu is a great option for casual rentals on any night when you won't be too upset if things stop working. However, for anything more important, you should consider using a more reliable service. It's important to keep in mind that these comments apply to any online streaming service, not just Vudu.

Vudu Vudu Review: Great for Purchasing, But Disc-to-Digital Conversion and Customer Service Need Work

I gotta say, I used to be a big fan of Vudu. I mean, who wouldn't love a platform that lets you purchase and watch movies hassle-free? But lately, I've been having some issues with their disc-to-digital conversion process. It's been a real pain in the neck, especially when trying to convert from the iPhone/iPad app. I've tried it a few times, and it just doesn't seem to work. And if that wasn't bad enough, Vudu to Go won't let you add those movies to your cart on PC. What gives, Vudu?

Then there's the whole Instawatch thing. The idea is great - scan your Walmart receipt into the Walmart app, and any qualifying movie you purchased will instantly show up in your Vudu account. But sometimes it doesn't work, and that's when the real fun begins. You have to take pictures of the receipt, the front and back cover of the blu-ray, and then wait three weeks for someone to email you back. Talk about a buzzkill.

And don't even get me started on emailing Vudu. It's like sending your problem into a black hole. The only replies I've ever gotten were weeks later, asking if they had fixed the problem. So I thought I'd try calling. Big mistake. No one I talked to could answer any of my questions or offer any solutions. And to top it all off, customer service is only available from 9-5, Monday-Friday. What about those of us who like to watch movies on the weekends?

Look, I'm not saying Vudu is all bad. I've never had a problem purchasing directly from them or watching a movie on any platform. But when it comes to disc-to-digital conversion and customer service, they've got some work to do. If anyone else comes along and offers me a better place to convert, purchase, and watch all of my UltraViolet movies in one place, I'll happily move on from Vudu. Unless it's a Disney movie, of course. Right now, they're the only game in town for UV.

Vudu VUDU 4K Movie Rental Review: Disappointing Rental Policy and Customer Service

I gotta say, I was pretty excited to try out VUDU and their 4K movie rental service. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch their favorite movies in the highest quality possible, right? But let me tell you, I was sorely disappointed with the whole experience.

First off, let's talk about their rental policy. They tell you that you have 30 days to watch the movie, which sounds pretty reasonable. But here's the catch - once you start streaming the movie, that 30-day window shrinks down to a measly 2 days. And if you don't finish the movie in that time, tough luck - it just expires without any warning. I mean, come on, VUDU, that's just not cool.

And don't even get me started on their customer service. I rented Men in Black International for $7.99, but when I tried to watch it, I got an error message. A few days later, when I tried to finish watching the movie, I found out that my license had already expired. When I called VUDU to ask them to extend my license, they flat-out refused. I mean, seriously? You can't make your customers pay twice for the same movie just because they had trouble watching it.

Look, I get it - VUDU is a business, and they need to make money. But when you can buy full movies for $9.95, it just doesn't make sense to charge $7.99 for a rental that only lasts 2 days. And if they keep up this kind of strict policy, they're going to lose a lot of customers - including me.

I'm not saying that VUDU is a complete scam, but I definitely feel like I got ripped off. I've attached a screenshot of just a small portion of my movie library, along with the money I've spent on it. And you know what? I'm taking my business elsewhere. I'd rather spend my money on a company that actually values its customers and provides a fair rental policy.

So, VUDU, if you're listening - you need to step up your game. Give your customers more time to watch their rentals, and maybe consider extending licenses for those who have trouble watching their movies. Otherwise, you're going to lose a lot of business - and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to steer clear of your service.

Vudu Rental services

I recently purchased a movie rental from Vudu I unfortunately was not able to finish watching it on the day of my purchase understanding I had 48 hours to continue watching the movie. I did get to return to watching the movie ON THE LAST DAY OF MY RENTAL, I got into 53 minutes of the movie and it stopped reporting playback error and the movie was gone from my library! I was a little upset, I didn't understand why they would stop the movie in the middle of me watching it. I immediately called VUDU's provided customer service line and got a representative almost immediately ( very impressed by that ) I explained what happened and the representative responded by explaining that he couldn't provide a credit or refund because I had watch 53 minutes of the movie? I didn't quit understand how that had anything to do with the fact that the movie was cut off in the middle of me watching it and asked to speak to a supervisor. After a few minutes on hold the representative return offering his apology and stating the supervisor refused my request for a refund as well as REFUSED TO SPEAK WITH ME?!So I am walking away from this experience confused, disappointed and feeling a little dismissed.

Desired outcome: Someone to get back to me explaining how this policy is fair and why my business isn't respected.

Vudu VUDU Gift Card

On March 20, 2023, I provided VUDU with and they acknowledged having received the requested documentation regarding a defective Variable VUDU Gift Card in the amount of $50. Upon attempting to "scratch" off the covering over the PIN, the adhesive on the covering stuck to the card leaving the PIN unreadable.

I have contacted them multiple times and went so far as to contact FANDANGO which is also named on the defective Gift Card. Fandango sent my documentation to VUDU and I heard back from VUDU on April 7, 2023, I received the following email from VUDU:

"Hi Jerry,

Thank you for contacting Vudu Customer Care

Kindly note we have been reviewing your matter and would firstly like to apologize for the delay in response as we have quite a large number of cases to tackle and we will be escalating your matter to higher-support for them to generate a new pin for your gift card.

Thank you,

Vudu Customer Service"

I NEED HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM!

I tried to upload documents, but failed.

Desired outcome: Either a New PIN for my existing $50 VUDU Gift Card, OR a New Physical $50 VUDU Gift Card, OR a $50 VUDU E-Gift Card with PIN.
