Virgin Mobile - Extra Charges after Contract ended

My cellphone contract was fully paid up so I phoned Virgin on the 20th August, spoke to "Happy" to forward a statement to me to verify that and he informed me that I can only get a statement in October because I needed to notify them one month prior to date. I disputed this and contacted "Hello Peter" to establish if this is even legal. Why should the client notify them when a contract is legally finished, they should phone client to enquire if the client wishes to continue, I really think the consumer board should make that an issue with all cellphone companies. Long story short, they handed me...

Virgin Mobile - Unauthorized use of credit card

I've had a Virgin Mobile pre-paid phone since the service was first created, probably around 2002. Back then, it was a great, affordable option in an era when many phone contracts offered little and cost a lot.
Today, I rarely use that phone -- and have over $300 credit on it -- but I keep topping it up as a backup/emergency phone.
For the past year, I haven't been able to access my account, online. The PIN they gave me doesn't work, even when they issued me a new one. Now, when I call them via their own *86 connection, their service doesn't recognize what I select....

Been A customer for several years. I had to order a new phone as the one I had (for 2 months) got stolen. The replacement they offered was not comparable, but a bottom line phone. So I purchased the HTC Desire 816. 2 days after receiving the phone I noticed they had put it on sale, so I contacted Virgin via email and asked if I could be credited the difference to my account or did I need to send it back as per there 14 day no hassle guarantee return policy. They told me to send the phone back for a full refund and would be sending me a bag to return it in. I waited and waited, no such bag arrived....

i have a virgin mobile account & i put my sim card into an i phone about 3 months ago but without my request i was charged £1 per day for the internet service which i dont need or use, i spoke to Ann at virgin media about this problem & she said i needed to switch off data roaming on the phone & i would no longer be charged, but this did not occur because this charge continued so i phoned virgin on the 22/07/2014 & spoke to wayne in the phillipines & he said he could disable this device & that i would no longer be charged this fee, why wasnt i told this earlier, i am very angry that i was...

Virgin Mobile - Sold defective phone, no service

I purchased a Samsung galaxy 3 for $259 on virgin mobiles website. Within days I couldn't hear anyone I was talking to on the phone because it kept breaking up, my text messages failed and I'd have to resend them at least 7 times. I have zero bars but according to them I am in an excellent coverage area. And when I get on the internet it loses the connection after 5 min. I asked for another phone since my NEW one was still under warranty. You know what they sent me back? A USED refurbished phone worth a whole lot less than what I paid for my new phone. I demanded they send me a new phone...

Virgin Mobile - New Jersey, Warren - Was told that a refund for $55 was going to be sent to me for refund of Virgin Mobile Top-up cards

I purchased 2 Top-up cards for a hot spot device that I bought the same night at Walmart. Both products from Virgin Mobile. stated that my area was covered by their service, which it wasn't. I returned the device to Walmart and contacted Virgin Mobile. I was told by an employee of theirs, Cookie, on 12/4/13 that a check would be mailed to compensate me for the cards and that I would receive it within 14 days. She gave me a case # 39917042. I never received anything and have not heard anything since....

Virgin Mobile - Arizona, Elgin - Virgin stealing minutes for unanswered calls

Virgin has been taking minutes off of my prepaid account a minute at a time for received calls that I do not pick up and answer. I've called them several times and after looking online I see this has been an ongoing issue for years and apparently Virgin doesn'
t give a crap and aren't fixing it. When I called in to complain they said I would have to top up my account. They are basically stealing my minutes for calls I'm not answering or making. All the numbers in my call record show my own cell number in the call coming "from" column and oddly enough for the past 30 days...

Virgin Mobile - Horrible Service, Bad/faulty phones

This company is a joke. I have had this service for not even a year. Since day one, I have had problems with their phones. I have already had 6 replacement phones, promised the last 3 times I was going to get an upgraded phone due to the crappy phones they keep sending me- never happened. I was told I was going to get an upgraded phone comparable to the one I had this last time, 2 days ago, and the order was never put through. Finally, I called to cancel my service instead of paying for it when I couldn't even use my phone, and they offered a 'comparable' replacement. A phone that...

Cannot activate new line of service, get this error message:
The activation system is currently not available. Please try again later.

To activate via phone, please call Virgin Mobile At Your Service at 1-888-322-1122.

Will now return my phone back to Best Buy and activate a new Verizon Wireless. Virgin Mobile screwed itself up. I guess they do not want any new customers. Oh well... Hello Verizon!!...

Virgin Mobile - no itemised statement

Virgin Mobile has to be the worst service provider in the world!!!

For the second time in a year, Virgin Mobile has stopped sending me itemised billing, even though I am charged for this "service".

The reason the gave for the last time for non delivery, was that they lost my email address - even though I am a client of theirs since 1999!!!
They eventually refunded me for the months that they did not send me the billings statements.

This time around, theyt have not even answered my email letter to them via their "Customer Care" email address!...

Virgin Mobile - Contract Freezing

I was phoned, that is to say actively sold a new upgrade package for my phone around 5/6 months ago. At that time I already knew that I would be moving to Colombia with my girlfriend at the beginning of December for at least 8 months. Therefore, I was concerned about signing up for a new contract because I was told that in order to cancel it I would have to pay the full amount of money for the remainder of the contract, which obviously I was unprepared to do. However, a member of the Virgin mobile staff repeatedly responded to my concern by saying that I would be able to freeze my contract when...

Virgin Mobile - Water damage ?

I recently sent my phone to get repaired as it was switching itself off, randomly ringing contacts and the screen was freezing that I couldn't go back to the menu or on anther page. It came back unfixed and when I rang to find out why I was told there was water damage and its not covered under the warranty, also my insurance said they wont cover it unless I paid £70 excess fee and then they will replace the phone. I was gobsmacked as I take care of my phone with a casing and screen protector and don't have it in the bathroom or use it in the rain. After a few phone calls to try and...

Virgin Mobile - Still billing me for cancelled contracts

I have cancelled my contracts(inactive ) more than 2 years ago, in various ways but still im being debited for them always random amounts for more than two and a half years.(still hasn't been corrected)
Phoning doesn't help as no one ever answers and when they do they keep posting me through from department to department till im conveniently cut off.
I haven’t paid my account for two months now as I have done the math and my third line was paid off more or less the same time I cancelled the other lines(as you debit whatever the hell you want)
And you owe me money...

Virgin Mobile - Fed up with Shocking Service

3 years ago I got 2 Virgin contracts, both phones where stolen with my bag followed the whole procedure of getting affidavits, cancelling the numbers ect, I experienced extreme frustration with the virgin mobile staff that I ended up cancelling both contracts.

I then got told I need to pay +- R4300 in order to cancel my contracts, so I MADE payments arrangements and STUCK to them but they STILL handed me over to Select online, in January 2012 I settled my owing amount IN FULL it then took numerous of emails to get a confirmation letter stating I have cleared my debt.

Virgin Mobile - Service

I cancelled my 3 daughter's contracts after maturity and still got debited for the accounts after cancellation. I have 3 reference nr's as proof. I send back the debit order and Virgin mobile cancelled my services. It took several calls, e-mails and complaints on their website to finally get the cancellations accepted. One of the operators told me that she could see that the contracts were cancelled but the cancellations were never input in the system.
My current contract matures 07/05/2013 and I tried several times to call 129 to cancel my contract after maturity. I also send mails...

Virgin Mobile - New South Wales, Newcastle - change of ownership due to the death of my husband

My husband passed away, I contacted Virgin Mobile to let them know, explained I wanted to take over the phone as the number means a great deal to the family, we have had the number for years.
They asked for the Death certificate, Drivers license, and Medicare card from me to be faxed to them, I did so and also with that provided my Birth Certificate and Marriage Certificate to show that I am the person they are speaking to, proof of that.
4 months later, the phone being barred twice during this time and many calls to Virgin, each time asking to speak to my dead husband, I still have...

Virgin Mobile - Bad service

I now have no phone service thanks to Virgin Mobile. I wanted to upgrade to a smartphone, from their service to the upgraded service. The upgrade failed. The old phone won't work. The new phone won't work. I'm out of luck with a sick mother who is 85 years old living 400 miles away. I will go get another phone tomorrow and do what I can to send this phone back. It may not be the phone but I'll never use Virgin Mobile again.
Basically only deal with Virgin Mobile if you really don't need a phone. If you actually might need one, don't count on it....
