Horrible service and ignorant people. I had the pleasure of having to deal with Becky at 800-520-0926. She had a typical ego and could care less. Two weeks ago my service went down. I called Verizon so many times and every time I received an automated system telling me there were outages everywhere and it will be fixed within four days. Later that day, I receive an automated call from Verizon saying the issue is fixed and my internet is fine. Total BS! It was not fixed and nothing changed.

I have had no internet for 4 days and spent over 15 hours on the phone with verizon due to their mistake. I still do not have internet service.
They mistakenly set up cable, internet and phone service at my old address a week AFTER i moved out without my consent. This was an empty house and a number that if they checked their records would have zero calls made or received. Because of this service racking up unpaid fees it has been shutting off my actual service.

The service advertized and being recieve are totally out of wack. I can go to a coofee shop up the street with my lap top and get faster internet download speed free, than having to pay for quote "high speed internet service" here at my home. Trying to get a hold of Verizon to have this problem looked at is another story in its self. Have to get someone in the philippines to set up an appointment just to look at your system. Would reall like to have someone look into this problem and provide us with better internet service as soon as possible...

As a long time customer of Verizon, with a bundled service (Home phone, DSL, Wireless) I have been treated poorly. It all started this past Spring...my husband and I bought a house about 4 blocks from where we used to live. We called Verizon to move our services to new address...no problem. I have had Verizon DSL for several years. Routinly I have problems with their service. FORGET calling their customer service. They don't exhist. You know that comercial with "Peggy" the Big Russian alone in a room filled with blinking phones. THAT IS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF you can get a person with a pulse on the line after being tormented for hours by the automated service, it won't matter because they don't speak English anyway. After loosing my order for DSL twice, which required me to spend hours on the phone both times trying to figure out why one department had my order but the other didn't I was told to replace my order because there is nothing they can do if it doesnt make it to the equipment department. most of my out going emails come back as SPAM by Verizon. they claim to use a 3rd party for filter spam emails but decline to list the name or give any information as to who to contact to correct issue of emails that are CLEARLY NOT SPAM being bounced back. It does not matter if I send a letter to my daugthers or send a business price quote or hit reply to respond to a business or personal question - it gets bounced back and there is NO ONE to contact to correct. Verizon DSL - Ohio - $14.95/month "for life"

Does anyone else have a complaint on Verizon's "Life-time" DSL rates. I signed up a two year commitment with Verizon only to have them deny they even offered a set rate for life. I have found countless blogs stating that others have fought them over similar issues, but no-one has been able to produce the actual post-card or Web-page that Verizon released.

I wanted DSL, but my computer was to old to support ther DSL - so instead of canceling my contract, they sent a technicial named Chris out who "built a bridge" for my system. However, that keep crashing, so once a month from November 2007 until February of 2008 I had to take off a day of work to be at home for Chris to come and "repair the bridge". In 3 weeks I have had problems with 3 routers. First one would keep knocking me off line. Was on the phone 4 hours until I got a new router. The second one I had to restart 4+ times a day because I kept loosing the internet. After 3 more hours on the phone they sent me a new router. This one I had to reset twice before I could get on with my desktop, I still could not get on wirelessly. We then found out the WEP key printed on the label was not the correct one. They will not allow anyone in the rual area hook up to DSL. I have done their speed test and I can connect at 375-425 kbps (their minuiam is 700 kbps) 375 kbps is alot faster than their dial-up 28-32 kbps. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! I will NEVER use Verizon again! For ANYTHING!!!

I only have TWO viable options for internet service in my area. The dreaded Comcast and Verizon DSL (NOT Fios because it is still not available in my area).

After going through about 6 years of service nightmares, rogue charges, and terrible customer service with Comcast, I decided to jump ship and get my internet through Verizon. Well I found out that they are in fact WORSE than Comcast.

I will try to keep this as short as possible even thought I could spend HOURS on this!!!

I over payed an old Verizon account $300 way back in April. I cannot seem to get anyone to cooperate with me with getting my money back. The last time I called I was assured it was taken care of and even got a confirmation number. When I still didn't get my refund I gave them the confirmation number they didn't have it on file!!! They keep telling me they "can't find an account under that account number" but I keep getting the statements in the mail showing me my credit due!

How can a company not be able to pull up someone's account by the account number...

I AM BEING HARASSED BY VERIZON DSL EMPLOYEES.

The Verizon Managers are in collusion with two of the most PROMINENT Universities in Philadelphia. In essence, they SPY on the personal DSL accounts of University Employees and Employees of other companies.

Officially: Verizon, as a Company, will deny this. See their privacy statements. But

THE TRUTH IS:
YES, VERIZON EMPLOYEES WILL SPY ON ANYONE'S DSL ACCOUNT ACTIVITIES FOR THIRD PARTIES. They do this especially in PHILADELPHIA-- and they get away with it.

Verizon DSL - Verizon mislabels my mail as spam

I work from home and naturally receive emails from my coworkers in other parts of the US. While Verizon dutifully lets their emails land in my inbox, every few weeks when I try to reply to my peers Verizon tells me that I am trying to spam someone.

Repeated requests to not categorize my replies to someone as spam (aside from the fact that I've never spammed anyone in my life) allow me to respond to my coworkers for a little while... and then the "blocking" of my outgoing mail starts again. At which point I have to ask the fine team at 'spamdetector.update@verizon.net'...

I just bought a brand new townhome this is fanatic, but Verizon spoils the party, if you are someone doesn’t need, or want to pay $40 to $50 dollars for super-fast internet. Verizon seems to force you to buy fios, because if you have a new home, with fiber-optics, you can no longer have high-speed or DSL from Verizon.

I feel this is BS, and if their really is a reason, this is still forced, and planned by Verizon to force customers in pay for more internet then you really need.


I will go back to dial-up internet, or no internet, until fios prices are more...

I ordered phone service from Verizon because they said DSL was available at my address and I wanted to get the deal they were offering. I waited two weeks for phone service to be turned on then waited another two weeks to receive the modem. Then another two days and numerous phone calls wanting to know why the DSL isn't activated yet. Then they call me and tell me they cannot provide DSL service because I am too far away from their main location. I canceled their phone service immediately and they actually did one thing efficiently. Within 5 minutes I did not have phone service any more....

I have had Verizon DSL for aprox 2 years. After about 1 year of having DSL every time when we had thunder, lightning, or rain I would loose connection.
