Impossible to get resolution from customer service re repair. After being on hold for up to an hour each time over the past 2 weeks, I still have been unable to receive the shipping label for repair of a product. I spoke with 3 different people (in different countries) who promised they would email the shipping label to me. Never happened....

I put the following complaint on HelloPeter in Des 2014. No one has contacted me since: In August this year I took the Sony Experia Z1 Compact out on contract because it is waterproof and dust resistant. On the 6th of Dec I tried to take a picture under water and then the phone died. I took it to Vodacom in Eastgate where Herman was able to retrieve my data for me. In this process he had to remove the back cover of the phone. When I got the phone back, Caroline from the Vodacom repair services said I can take the phone to SSS Cellular for a second assessment. As a loyal Sony customer I bought my latest Sony KDL-70 W850B a supposedly smart TV. Unfortunately it's just a YouTube TV and no other pre-loaded live apps work, not even the Sony app or Opera or TED. I am not complaining that it doesn't support Adobe but its own pre-loaded apps should work. The authorized dealer conveniently avoids responsibility by informing me that in Saudi Arabia other apps don't work due to time zone problems. The same apps work here for Samsung and LG.I have contact Sony middlEast about a week back but no action till now.

I had purchased a sony xperia M2 mobile from souq.com on 17/01/2014 but it is not working properly. No headphone was in packet and it is made in chaina. It has no 4GB memory only 2GB memory and its front camera is not working and back camera is 5 meghapixel but picture quality is too bad. I think it is not sony product. I have registered complaint on 11th November 2013 having request Id: 16599714 as there is an issue with my LED TV which has the issue of 4 blinks and doesnt startup. Then, my issue has been assigned to the nearest service center "Pranak Electronics" vijayawada. Next, there was a visit of 2 to 3 service engineers and they have informed us that the TV cannot be serviced at the right moment and needs to be taken up to the service center.

Sony Listens posted in response to a question on the Best Buy website that its universal remote RM-VL600 would operate Sony Soundbar HT-CT100. I bought the remote and can't get it to work. There are no remote codes on Sony's website and the search function finds a code, but it does not work. I contacted Sony support and they now say they do not have any codes and do not sell any universal remotes that will work for this soundbar. True or False?...

Recently i got Sony Tipo Xperia Mobile from 51st east city center Doha mall immediately after 4 days lcd screen one sidw not visible its brand new mobile when asked city center they informed i have to visit customer service customer service after investigation says its physical damage i have not dropped and applied pressure servuce center in salwa road is too pathetic response. Basically its a damage peice they have told it seems and just for lcd screen they mentioned 250QAR charge and i have to bear taxi charges itself from city center to salwa road 100+100 =200QAR on top of that cost of mobile...

Too angry to go into detail. Perhaps their products are superior, or maybe it's just marketing and reputation, but you should not buy from Sony SOLELY based on their HORRIFIC customer service and obstinate workers and multitude of stupid and lame excuses for why they are incapable and useless. Recently, my 55" Sony Wega Rear Projection TV model KF55E200A displays this message on start up " Projection lamp nearing end of life. Please replace lamp." From the TV manual, it says I need a Sony replacement lamp XL2400 with a step by step guide on how to install it on the lamp compartment. Alas, I found out that Sony won't sell me the XL2400 lamp unless I bring in the TV for servicing. Plain logic dictates that it just want to rip me off with the service fee. The XL2400 is available online at Amazon and eBay. Never thought Sony to be a greedy company. Never again will I buy a Sony product....

Dear sir, I bought a computer from Future shop in Brampton i, e Trinity mall. The sales persons guide me about the Return policy. Watch out if you get Sony playstation network cards...When you do the scratch off to read the code number...Half the time the Number code comes off also...And then try to get the code from Sony...This happends alot...It is the way the card is made is why it does this...And of course Sony plays dumb...Replace all of the cards in the stores...Yeah sure...That means money...So they keep the bad cards out there...XBOX has no problem at all with there cards... I purchased a Sony television for $600. Came home to put it together and guess what? The "optional support belt kit, " which stabilizes the TV to the table mount is not included. So now I need to purchase the belt kit from Sony for $10.50 plus shipping and handling and wait 5-7 business days for it to come. So much for having TV this past weekend. So much for thinking I was purchasing from a reputable company. Talk about cheap! And, no mention of this "optional support belt" on the outside of the box. I have a problem with the maintance company of Sony in Egypt!
The service and the attitude and the prices are abnormal!
My TV is 3 years old and I was told today that i need to change the screen!!! Without any why!
Is it normal that after 3 years I have to pay the proce of a new TV to fix my tv! This is not acceptable!

Purchased Sony Bravia TV about a year and a half ago. About 5 months ago black semicircles began appearing on screen, we now have two on right side and one in middle on lower part of screen. TV has never been moved and not subject to any temperature or light extremes. Sony was no help when contacted and offered no resolution. They informed me that warrantly is expired and Sony did not offer extended warranty on this model(I wonder why?). I supposed they would prefer to lose a customer for life than offer some solution. In short, I ordered a camera for my boyfriend's birthday only to realize that it was the wrong make and model. Customer, error, I know but generally it's customary for stores to allow you a 30 day return period, especially on the purchase of expensive electronics. I immediately went online to the sonystyle.com.au and filled out a form requesting information on how to proceed with returning the camera. The automatic message assured me that someone would get back to me within 48 hours. When no call came and no email was sent I called the customer service number and spoke with a representative....

For the past 25 years I have purchased only Sony products for my home (TVs, VCRs, DVD, Sound Systems, etc.) because of what I thought was the high quality of the products and the fact that Sony would stand behind their products. Imagine my total frustration and surprise at finding that the first time that I encounter an issue with Sony products and Sony would not take responsibility and assist with what is clearly a design defect or a manufacturing defect of their products.

I received a $75 sony gift card for the express purpose of purchasing "ebooks" which I have done many times. I went to the website, ordered 11 ebooks, went to check out, only to be told that my gift card had not been activated. Called sony - twice - and verified online - gift card had $75 balance. Finally was told that the gift card could not be used to purchase ebooks - even though you can access the "Store" and place ebooks in your CART from the website...you can't use the gift card. Go figure. After multiple calls to Sony, it was suggested that I purchase another reader or accessory or something...
