BlueMountain.com Mixed Experience with BlueMountain

As someone who appreciates the sentiment behind sending personalized e-cards, my experience with BlueMountain has been a mix of highs and lows. While the concept of their service is commendable, the execution seems to fall short at times. I encountered issues with their system defaulting to a yearly membership fee, despite opting for a one-month trial. This led to confusion and frustration, especially when trying to send a card for a special occasion. The lack of clarity in their membership process and the difficulty in editing details raised concerns about transparency and user-friendliness. On the positive side, their customer service, exemplified by Gabriela, was a shining light in an otherwise challenging experience. Gabriela's professionalism and efficiency in resolving my concerns were truly appreciated. However, the overall hassle of dealing with billing discrepancies and technical glitches overshadowed the initial excitement of using their service. While there are aspects of BlueMountain that show promise, such as their range of card options and features like AI messaging, the overall user experience needs improvement to truly deliver on the promise of heartfelt connections through e-cards.

BlueMountain.com Although there's an option to join and have a membership

Although there's an option to join and have a membership, Blue Mountain offers many FREE ecards that are available without signing up. They have some very beautiful ones and if you search "free ecards" you'll be able to see all the cards you can use and not join or pay for.

BlueMountain.com I LIKE BLUEMOUNTAIN

I send close to 50 Blue Mountain ecards every year, and I get many positive comments from the recipients. There are very clever ones, where for example, Dolly Parton sings the name the recipient and ones similar to that. My grandchildren like the talking animals who makes their little speeches personal. I have been on BlueMountain for many years, and I have put it to good use.

BlueMountain.com Gorgeous cards, great features, refunded my subscription when it was MY fault

I have subscribed off and on again for years. I currently live overseas (originally from US). I've let the subscription slip here and there (paid without using it) because $20 for a year is nothing. Anyone who feels cheated is obviously full of it, btw. How do you not know you're entering your cc info? So I'm giving them 5 stars because they actually read my email, in which I admitted my mistake (cancelled on renewal date). I was kind, I was humble. I was honest. And guess what? They refunded my money and were super nice about it.

BlueMountain.com Failure to send photo with ecard, poor customer service

I placed an order to send an ecard for Christmas, with a family photo attached. The card was nice. However, I uploaded a photo and scheduled the card to be sent together with the photo on xmas day. Card was sent but apparently not the photo. I contacted customer service and BlueMountain took several days to determine that the photo had not been included with my ecard. They refused to accept responsibility for the problem, refused to re-send the card with the photo, thanked me for helping them identify their technical problem, and then - 4 days after Christmas - told me that I should try to send it again because they thought they had fixed their problem.

BlueMountain was totally uninterested in customer service and just told me, the customer, that I should try to send my Christmas card again - and this was on December 29! I asked them to resend the xmas ecard, this time with the photo, and with an apology for their mistake. They declined, told me it was up to me to re-create and resend the card and photo, apparently since they had by then fixed their technical problem.

Pathetic,

Paul Co

BlueMountain.com Horrible, frustrating experience trying to send a birthday ecard

I would never use this site again. The experience was terrible - frustrating. After spending time trying to "recover" my acct, I gave up and signed up anew using my Apple email and password (as suggested). I was able to type a personal message but it was not accepted either. It said something about the transcript not available now, so when I tried to send the ecard I as provided a link, used it but it included their standard message, not my personalized message. Then I went to the live chat and entered my problem. After entering almost all of my problem, a large message came on saying they were currently closed and their hours of operation. WHY NOT SAY IN A MESSAGE THAT YOU'[RE CURRENTLY CLOSED BEFORE MAKING ME PUT IN THE MESSAGE. And it was only 2pm PDT on a Friday. There was no other option. I will be asking for my money back. I would never use this site again and make my complaint wherever possible. I don't have time to fool around with sites that don't understand or care about their customer and/or don't know how to create a user friendly website. Maybe AI will help them. Someone needs to.

BlueMountain.com Total fraud

I signed up in 2015 for an annual membership for $19.99, thinking I could send birthday wishes, Christmas and other holiday cards, etc. as it turned out, I was NEVER able to complete a send! Therefore, after repeated attempts, within 30 days of joining, I contacted the company and verbally requested a cancellation. Today, 1 1/2 years later, a charge of $19.99 was presented against my bank account! I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and was informed that if I wanted to dispute the charge they would have to cancel my card, issue another card which could take up to 10 days, and open a claim which could take up to 1 month! My only other alternative was to contact the company directly which I did. After a 45 minute totally frustrating period of trying to use their system, I was able to speak with an agent and only when I threatened legal action did they issue a refund (haven't seen actual refund yet) but this company is pathetic in the way the do business and I am convinced that it's actually cheaper to drive to a store and buy the cards rather than go through this disruption of my life even for $19.99!

BlueMountain.com Blue Mountain ecards

Today, on 12/3/23, I chose a card and signed up for a one month trial, just to send only one card for a birthday greeting for tomorrow. They took my credit card info and charged it, immediately. Their system defaulted to a year membership, even though I chose one month. There is no way to change the membership terms on their site. And, their system indicates "no pending cards to be sent", even though I'd chosen one. Now, they have my info and my recipient's info. Then, I see all the negative reviews of this happening to others via three different complaint sites. Called my credit card company, within the hour to block/dispute and get a new credit card number. Watch out. They are a scam. Now, I'll have to contact my intended card recipient to beware of any solicitation via the info that I had to give them.

BlueMountain.com "Free" Trial

Signed up for a free trial and they IMMEDIATLY charged my credit card despite having a confirmation email of a Free trial as well as confirmation of the cancellation of said trial. This all occurred in the same day. The contact us by email questions do not get responded to and the phone line says "due to unforeseen circumstances we are closed" once you make it through the automated prompts. Ha to resort to reporting fraud to my bank (be sure to have them block all future charges from them!

Desired outcome: refund

BlueMountain.com Blue Mountain CardsI

I started a free trial from Blue Mountain cards. I canceled the same day. But the company took $72 from my PayPal account. I tried callings without success. I want my money back. I feel this is now a scam. The company must be doing poorly, so they take all trial memberships money and does not return the money. This transaction occurred on 08/29/2022. Account $[protected]

Desired outcome: Please refund the $72. I would welcome a response.

BlueMountain.com Unauthorized subscription

This is the second month I have attempted to contact Blue Mountain. Today is August 19, 2022 and the time is 11:41 am and the phone message stated "Due to unforeseen circumstances the company is closed. No message to be left, etc.

This was due to a card I purchased on their website and this turned into an unauthorized monthly charge. I did notify them before the end of the 30 day trial to cancel the subscription and I was told it would be taken care of. Evidently that has not been the case since I am continuing to be charged monthly.

Desired outcome: I would like my checking account or card creditied with the months I have been charged which I did not authorize.

Yup, I have the same problem. But with me, they locked me out of my account, so I can't even dispute the unauthorized charges of $6.99 for two months. WIll be calling my bank about this. Sad, because they used to be a nice company.

BlueMountain.com unauthorized credit card charges

I Bought a E greeting card for my girlfriend on the 25/12/2014 from Blue Mountain.com, I never noticed the charges on my credit card until today as they were only small and monthly, (I use my card a lot for purchases).. I have had nothing else from this company also no emails to say I was paying a for a monthly subscription. I will be raising this with my credit card company as a fraud, I did not give permission for a monthly subscription and only thought I would be charged for the original E greeting.

BlueMountain.com fraudulent charge

A charge for $4.99 appeared on my debit card electronic statement on March 10 2017. It was from Bluemountain.com, an e-card company that I never heard of. Never did any business with them or even visited their site. After navigating their circular customer service website I was informed that I signed up for their service on March 1 and that I had ordered 2 e-cards. I never use e-cards. The trial period that I never signed up for had expired so I don't get the fraudulent charge back. They had my name, address, and debit card info. They also had an email account address that I never heard of.
I would like to see a full investigation of bluemountain.com, especially if there are a lot of us being ripped off. And I want my money back.

I have also tried to cancel my membership, they send apologetic emails and give me the same link to re-set my password, it is impossible to get anywhere with this company and I believe the contact no is in the US. I have only sent 4 E-cards in 6 months it was a costly mistake signing up

BlueMountain.com this service is a scam

I have signed up for BlueMountain service for a free trial and they still charged me! When I contacted their customer service they said that was their mistake and promised I'll get my money back. I asked them to cancel my subscription and they said ok. They actually did cancel my account but before that they charged me one more time! So in total they took my money twice and that was made without my permission! I tried to reach them and get a full refund but they refused to communicate. This service is a total scam and fraud, do not give them your card info!

Environmental Impact and Sustainability

As an e-card service, BlueMountain.com helps reduce paper waste associated with traditional cards, which is a positive for the environment.
