Beachbody - Beachbody unauthorized charges/ scam

This is the email I sent to Beachbody earlier today, it contains my entire experience with this company:

REQUEST: II am a Beachbody customer. I want to CANCEL my auto-shipment of " Focus T25 Nutritional Advantage" and I also want to CANCEL my "Team Beachbody Club" membership. I want them cancelled as soon as possible.

Comments: From the very first day that I purchased products from BeachBody, I have been scammed and conned into purchases and payments that I was NEVER made aware of. I ordered something that I didn't mean to (along with my already huge purchase)...

Beachbody - Over a month and still no refund

I had ordered a challenge pack back in September. I got the shakeology and didn't really care for it. I figured that since they took my card number, they would likely set my account up for autoship. I tried to go into my account and make sure that I changed it back so they would not charge me and ship more. There was nothing in my account preferences or order history, that I could find, showing that I was on an autoship program. Well, regardless, I received the 30 day supply of shakeology from the autoship they did, in fact, set up. I called to get the information I needed to return the product....

Beachbody - DVDs Skip

Beachbody DVDs skip badly. Stay away from any Beachbody dvds unless you dont mind having to pause every couple of minutes due to the dvds either stopping or skipping. Particularly with the Shawn T series. In just about all his workout dvds, there is a problem with the skipping and pausing. Some so bad, I just throw them in the trash. And these are all brand new dvds. Contact Beachbody and they refuse to replace the dvds with no explanation. So again I suggest stay away from ALL beachbody dvds....

I have an issue with my beachbody coach. Someone I met at work - introduced me to BB and shakeology. I signed up - probably too fast - but I love the workouts and the shakeology. I press play almost everyday! drinking my shake - feeling good and losing weight. I started seeing that other people were getting great support from their coaches and encouragement to promote their beachbody business. My coach become an drama queen and an energy vampire - her life splashed over facebook, she would say she had lost a lot of weight by not eating at all. She couldn't drink the shakeology. Didn't...

Beachbody - poor handling of defective product

I have been a customer to beach body for years and have recommended their workouts and nutrition products to others. I take very good care of my work out DVDs, storing them in original packaging. A crack formed in one of my favorite discs because of the center holder design that came with package, apparently this is not a great design for long term use. I called beach body and explained the situation. They said sure we can replace it...for 19.99 plus shipping! Wow, I could probably repurchase the entire program on amazon for that price as this program has newer versions. I told them I was disappointed...

I received a P90X package back in December 2012 from Beachbody. Strange thing is that I have never heard of Beachbody before and never ordered this. I called customer service and they said that I ordered it on Dec 20, 2012. I asked what credit card it was charged on and they told me. I told them that I never ordered this and that I want a return label to send it back. They were supposed to send me one in the mail, which I never received. I was browsing an exercise dvd on Beachbody's website, started to order and changed my mind and I did not complete the order online yet it went through.
I phoned the customer services line first thing this morning and spoke to Jacob who advised me that he could not cancel my order, that I would have to wait until it was delivered, refuse delivery and that when the parcel was returned to Beachbody I would be refunded. To say I was angry and astounded would be understating it, I asked to speak to his supervisor to be told that there was no-one available as the supervisor/admin staff only...

I went online to order their 10-Minute Trainer and mistakenly added a second one to my shopping cart after I entered my credit card number. There was no way to go back and remove the order from my shopping cart so I closed the browser. A few hours later I receive a confirmation email for my order for two sets of 10-Minute Trainer. I never submitted nor confirmed my order. When I called customer service right away to cancel one of the two sets, they told me they couldn't cancel it for me because the order was already processed. I placed an order after watching the TV infomercial for the P90X, when I was placing my order the rep asked me if I wanted the upgrade package for an additional $39.95. I agreed to the upgrade just to find out upon receiving my bill that I was over charged nearly $125.00 for a few extra items which I did not agree to for that amount and if I did I still would not feel as if these "upgrade" items were worth the $125.00 additional they are charging for it. I will NEVER order from this company again due to the billing, they have a great product but their customer service representatives are not honest....

On 4/9/11 I went through the steps to order the TurboFire Intense Cardio Conditioning program after I entered my credit card information, there was a screen to upgrade to the TurboFire® Advanced Classes program without saying what the price is. I clicked ok to put it in my shopping cart to see how much it costs but then I couldn't delete it.

I started over because I didn't want to upgrade. I finished the order clicking through all of the windows to the end and finally hit the "place order" button. Then I received a confirmation email for 2 orders the advanced program...

I bought P90X and was advised to return it. I called their customer service line to get the return authorization. My call was answered quickly. The representative sounded like "Peggy" from the TV commercial

After a man answered he spoke very fast so I could not understand him. He tried to sell me stuff for a good 10 minutes after I continuously and patiently told him I'm not interested. I kept telling him I just want the return authorization and he got upset with me that I wouldn't buy anything.

He finally said, "Fine, whatever." very rudely and said the R.A....

I called today to return a partial part of some products from Beachbody. What should have been an easy request ended up turning into a yelling match!! And I was yelling because the customer rep was shouting at me. I couldn't believe it. I was questioning billing technigques and he got defensive and started talking down to me. That was it! I am the customer and if i see something suspicious going on, I will ask questions.

I am so mad right now I can't see straight. I was really excited about starting P90X in November, but I refuse to use this company every again. I am scared...

As an insider who works for beachbody, I can reveal a few choice details about the company and its business practices. First beachbody is a subsidiary of a corporation named Product Partners LLC that is headquartered in Santa Monica. It was started in 1999 by Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon. They primarily use infommercials to market their exercise products like P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, etc. When consumers call in they are routed to one of three call centers in India, Costa Rica, or the Koreatown area of Los Angeles.

I am a fifty one year old women who is having great success with the Yoga Booty program that Beach Body offers. I also take the supplements and now have started with Shakeology which is changing my life! My digestive system is running well (if you know what I mean) and my skin and nails are stronger.

I wich you all the best of luck wioth your exercise program but don't let a little Direct Mail issues get you down. The sompany will rectify.

They didn't send me a bill just sent me to collections. Canceled the pills and still get billed. Takes forever to get money back. This is the biggest scam I have ever got sucked into. Take my advice try to loose the wait some other way becasue these guys will drain you of a lot of money. I learned the hard way.The pills are as large as a horse and taste like ***. They don't curb your appetite and to have to take 6-8 a day forget it. I have 5 bottles to get rid of....

I contacted messageboards@beachbody.com...and live chat...live chat said there was NO record of my return...when I gave him all the shipping info...and the time and name of the BB employee that signed...it all magically appeared...I was promised my return would be in my account by end of the week. Messageboards also responded timely...and stated the same...

I did receive a Partial refund but the full amount promised.

As per my previous email...I was guaranteed a full refund including postage costs! I only received $63.44 of that...I was promised $77.17 plus return...

PLEASE TELL YOUR COMPANY STOP CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD FOR NO PRODUCT THAT I NOT RECEIVING I HAVE NOT ORDER ANY MORE OF YOUR PRODUCTS.

To: messageboards@beachbody.comI called in an order...then called back hours later to cancel. I was told I could cancel, but had to call Monday...and would be okay...since it hadn't shipped and wouldn't ship for days. I called first thinking Monday..and was told it already shipped out.

A supervisor authorized the shipping, and all of the $77.17 since I was given the information above. I verified this, and included a copy of the return shipment fees. I was also told that it would only take 3-4 business days to have the refund processed and back in my account. It's...
