Walk in shower
On May 25, 2024 the sales representative from Bath Fitter came to our home. We told him what we were looking for (remove the tub and convert to a walk-in shower). He measured everything and we looked at the different patterns and accessories and we picked out what we liked. He told us that the doors were going to be expensive because they were going to be...

5/25/24 A representative came to our home to see exactly what we wanted. He measured everything and sat down with us and layed everything out, he even showed us a picture of the finished product on the website. We agreed to pay more for the larger doors. 6/13/24 The installer arrived at 8AM, to start on the project. He had to pull the bathtub and replace...

Bath Fitter was to install a shower on May 24th, 2023, on that same day they were to show up we got a call from Bath Fitter saying they would not be showing up. This happened 3 times when Bath Fitters set a date and, on the day, they were to show up we got a call instead letting us know they could not make it. Bath Fitters did not care that I had to take time off work to be there, on other appointments (6 in all) I had other people come to my house so I would not miss work that changed their plans to help me out just so Bath Fitter could call on the same day they were to show up to cancel their appointment they made with me. They did get the bathroom done on June 15th, 2023. Had to go a week without water because they could not complete the job and once again Bath fitter did not care that there was no water. I have complained on a lot of different Bath Fitters Facebook pages and private messages telling my nightmare story hoping for help and did not get from any of the other Bath Fitters. The only response I got was they were a franchise company, and no help was given. All the Bath Fitters I contacted have removed my story. If you look on Facebook, you will only see compliments from people anyone that had problems and posted them have been removed or most of them. You will be lucky if you find any complaints (this was my mistake). Bath Fitter has now blocked me from their Facebook pages so I cannot post my nightmare about them.
I have been emailing Bath Fitter and they finally offered 50% off if we replied within 3days. The next day they sent another email saying that they would offer 50% off but they wanted us to sign 3 more contracts with them. I asked them to send us the contract so we could read them and have our attorney look them over. This was around July 14th, 2023, and they still have not sent them. In one of the emails, they wanted to remove the lifetime warranty. Like we would trust them to show up or even fix the problem. Bath fitter still to this date Aug. 10th, 2023, has not sent the contract they want us to sign. We sent them a check on July 14th, 2023, for the 50% off price that we were quoted. On July 17th, 2023, we received another email saying the check would be returned and Bath Fitters was going to turn us over to collections. I have not heard another word from Bath Fitter. Now this is just the short version of my nightmare with Bath Fitters. I hope to keep up my story on social media until Bath Fitters let us pay this bill off.

Escalated to regional customer manager looking at job.

5/18/23 4th attempt, Services techs sent out with regional manager. Result, walls not sticking, spongy, not unlike the first install.
Bath Fitter has failed over and over again on a Job that they do everyday.
Customer desires refund for work lost, damage to home, and failed install of shower. Customer is livid at this point
Photos and video were shot before 1st install and during and after every subsequent install to document all damage and quality of work.
Also litigation will go forth if not resolved. Including loss of use, damage, loss of work, etc.
Desired outcome: Bill adjustment to receive my deposit and another 20% off the total. This is fair.
Shower
The shower floor has been broken since December 2022. Bath Fitters came to take pictures, then didn't hear back until February 2023, came to take measurements. Since then we have been calling to f/u on the repair of the shower floor, no calls back whatsoever. The hole in the shower floor is getting worse and bigger. We don't even know where all the water is going at this point.
Desired outcome: Replace shower floor.

Bath install
Spoke to tim McDonald about a new shower and he said our shower was basic with no wait I agreed and he said I would need a $2300 deposit then after he got our money he said 4 to 6 months. Assuming it was a scam I asked for my deposit back and I would go elsewhere they said they were keeping the deposit.
They take advantage of elderly people like this because they think they wont fight back
Desired outcome: Refund $2300
The problem was 100 percent resolved by bathfitters, thank you!
Customer service/unsympathetic
My mother recently passed and had an invoice for bathfitters to do an install. I called to let them know she passed away. I ask what the procedure was for something like this and the first thing she said was, your probably not going to get the money back. Not sorry for your loss. I then said if you guys want to make 2,629 dollars on her death so be it. My main concern was them showing up for install and wanting the rest of the money. they did ask for death certificate which I completely understand and sent. I then get a call back saying they received it and wanted to send it back. I called and the lady was apologizing for my moms passing and they would send refund check. I ask whose name and she said it would be in my mothers name. I told her that would do me no good. they sent it anyway in my moms name minus death certificate she said she wanted to send back. I called them back on final time to let them know not to contact me again over this issue and keep the money because shes Dead, which means not living. this company could use a brush up on customer service.

Shower
A few years ago, I made the HUGE mistake of having bath fitters put in a shower for me in the master bedroom. I paid over $7000.00 grand for this to be done! I am supposed to have a lifetime warranty for all the completed work that has been done! The calking comes loose all the time; I had had to have these repaired countless times! At least 4 times over the past few years. Now today I call 10/31/2022 to yet again have the calking repaired. Now I'm being told that there is a cost for this! $250.00 for this repair to be completed. Where the HELL is the lifetime warranty? Not my fault or problem bath fitters is incompetent of doing quality repair and or remodeling work! This is completely WRONG! This is FALSE for bath fitters to offer a supposed lifetime warranty, then to back stab and not honor it! If I am forced to now pay for repairs caused by improper work, I DEMAND my money back! ALL OF IT! I have also taken legal action in this matter also!

Deposit stolen
Bath Fitter came to my home and the salesman gave me an estimate and initially, I thought I would be able to proceed. He asked for a deposit, in the amount of $793. He did not provide a receipt or copy of the contract. I reached out to him via email requesting this information and he did not respond. I called the office and again requested this information be sent to me and they would not send it. A few weeks later, I was contemplating having the tub re-done also. They sent me an email at this time with an estimate and contract in the amount of $7,466. They wanted me to sign it right away in the morning, but I stated I needed to review. Then after reviewing, I asked some questions and then he responded and was watching for me to sign. He texted that he had not seen me sign this yet. Seemed rushed to get a signature. I then had an unexpected life change and responded first thing the next morning that I would not be able to proceed with this. His response was that I would then forfeit my deposit. This is unacceptable. At no time was I informed that I would not get my deposit back if something changed. I also was not provided with a written contract and was not informed in any matter of this. If I was, I would not have signed immediately. I reached out to the main office, and they would not return my call. This seems very unprofessional and shady. I am financially struggling with some serious expenses to cover and for a national company to just take my money is shocking. Very poor business practice. I suspect that is why they refused to give me a copy of the contract or disclose this information. In my opinion this is theft and is sickening.
Desired outcome: Refund, apology and change of policy!

Customer service
I had James from Bath Fitter in Broward come out and do an evaluation on March 1. I gave him a $200.00 deposit and told him I wanted to finance the rest. He said not problem they use Wells Fargo. He did not provide me with any financial application and I never heard from him again. Weeks go by, no call. (I was told it would take awhile to get the tub in). I called in April for status and they set up a time to come out and do my tub. I told them for the second time I wanted to finance and they advised someone would be in touch with me. On April 18 the guy came in and installed my tub and said "so I'm putting this on your card?" And I said no I want to finance, I had told them that. I emailed the salesman and said can we discuss the financing that night (this was my third time requesting. The email is attached). He didn't respond. I woke up the next morning and my bank account was negative. They charged my card without giving me notice or the option to finance which I had told them I had wanted to do. Thankfully I close on my home improvement loan in two days and my bank has overdraft protection. I just did finally receive a call from Todd (the manager) and all he knew how to say was there is a lot of volume and they need to "follow the paperwork." He didn't apologize for the hardship I now had to incur and was unsympathetic. He wanted to try to work it out but would not accept any responsibility for their error. An apology would have been appreciated or something. Very poor service.

First I would not go with any finance company that Bath Fitter recommends. Sounds like they are crooks and the probably do business with other crooks. If you had used a charge card the first time and they had put it on your charge you could have disputed it (just for future reference). As it is I would dispute it with the bank and ask them to show where you gave them permission to take the money from your account. If they cannot prove it then tell them to put the money back. If they refuse then you can contact a guy named "Clark Howard" and he will tell you what you can do to make the banks life miserable till they put the money back as well as things you can do to make Bath Fitter's life miserable. You can do a search for Clark Howard on the internet. He has a consumer help show on the radio and TV. He is all over Youtube and other places. The idea is to make sure you keep up the pressure. Remember that getting the door fixed would be nice but making their life as miserable as possible is the primary goal. They need to know every time they do this they will create problems for themselves that will never seem to end.
Down deposit refund
I got someone from bath fitters to come out and give me an estimate. However he asked for my debit card to get a monthly payment going on, but I had told him i wasn't going to pay for anything that day. After he left I saw $700 plus pending on my card. I called him as he gave me his number and explained that for a refund I would have to wait a couple of days. He also asked for me to sign a contract he sent me but I never signed it. How long does this refund take?
Desired outcome: Refund status

the bath tube wasn't completed in time as promised.
On 10/29/21 I ordered service for my bathroom and was assured that it could be completed by the Thanksgiving holiday. The bathtub and walls were measured, and I made my down payment to have the work completed. Several weeks later, on 11/18/21, the worker came to install my new bathroom--I was nervous because it was so close to the holiday, but I kept faith that this Company would keep its promise by delivering the service that I paid for with precision and accuracy, but Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Exactly one week before the Holiday, I was informed that the measurements were ALL WRONG and had to be retaken. He also took down my vanity mirror but did not replace it. I then called the main office in Long Island, and I could not reach them for a few hours. When I finally got a hold of someone on the phone, more promises were made to fix my bathroom and get it done correctly for the Holiday, but disappointedly that NEVER HAPPENED. No one ever came out to see about my bathroom.
Needless to say, today is the day after thanksgiving, and I was thoroughly embarrassed by my half done bathroom. I fixed the vanity mirror myself. They finally corrected the measurements and installed the bathtub backdrop. However, my tub is still not done.
For all of the broken promises and unsatisfactory service, I am asking to receive a discount that is fit for a customer who spent about 5, 000. The work I received was not worth what I paid. I feel like I have been treated unfairly. I am asking you to honor my request and this conversation will not continue any further. If it is not honored, I will be forced to take further action Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Desired outcome: $1000 off

My wife & I entered an agreement with Bath Fitter in August of 2019 to remodel 2 bathrooms in our home. We paid $4, 000 down and several weeks later we decided to cancel the order due to us finding a better deal with a local contractor. We were told by an associate of the company that our money would be refunded but we've yet to receive anything almost 2 years later! We've called repeatedly & keep getting the run around! We just want back our $4, 000 that was stolen from us! We never received anything from the company yet they've kept our money!

Deposit
A sales guy came to my house to estimate the cost of refitting my tub. Originally gave me a higher price but if I put down a 500 deposit, he'd lower the price and lock it in. So I did. Fast forward a few months, I still hadn't scheduled the refitting and my hospital has new owners who are letting go nurses left and right (I'm a nurse), so I again asked for a refund of my deposit, because I can't be irresponsible about spending 7000 on my bathroom when my job isn't secure. Again, refused to refund me and said it was forfeited if I don't go through with it because it's "policy." I'm a single parent and shouldn't have to forfeit 500 when no services were ever rendered. I just filed a BBB complaint to get my refund back.
Desired outcome: Refund my deposit

Not resolving the leakage problem
I have had a water leakage issue in the shower (living on the second floor of a condo) last three years. I had been seeing the bathfitter commercials so I called them, and they ensured that there would be no leakage problem at all after the bathfitter installed, paid $7000, this happened about 2.5 years ago, my issue has not been resolved. They came and...
