Allegiant Air review: Hidden fees

I booked airfare and car rental together thru Allegiant and was charged $365.81. Upon picking up the vehicle at the Alamo kiosk, was charged an aditional $83.05. When I questioned the charge, the Alamo representative could not explain and she didn't understand why I was charged that amount if the rental was booked and paid in advanced. She also proceeded to say since it was a third party booking she couldn't see why I was being charged an extra fee and should contact Allegiant. I called Allegiand and an unhelpful representative explained that it was a charge that is always charged when bookin gwith Allegiant. I explained that I've nver ever had to pay any additional fees wen picking up a prepaid booked rental. She proceeded to say that it had nothing to do with Allegiant but was an Alamo issue. I called Alamo and they said it was an Allegiant problem and not theirs. I ended up calling Allegiant again and was told that the $83.05 was taxes and fees that Alamo was charging. Again, I've never ever experienced where you pre-book your flight, car, or hotel and are charge an additional fee when you arrive to check in. Can you please explain that to me? I spoke to another Alamo representative on 2/4/2024 who said Allegiant dropped the ball by not charging the necessary taxes and fees and was indeed an Allegiant error. I kept explaining that I've never been charged an additional fee upon picking up a pre-paid vehcile. The fee should be what was stated upon the booking. Can you please advice me on this situation as I did the booking solely with Allegiant to have to go back and forth on this matter. Also I will be discussing this matter with someone else and will be cc Alamo.
