We were travelling with a puppy on board which I was following the rules giving to me by Air Canada customer support. As I was informed that once the plane is stabilized in the air I could keep my pet in the carryon bag and on my lap for him to breath air and not to be so stressed.

Unfortunately a rude airline agent came screaming at me to listen to her rules as I was told by her that she didn't care who I spoke with at customer support which she sets the rules as I am to listen and obey. There was more but I will state only on this particular incident concerning my pet.

Every agent on board that flight were exceptionally disrespectful and rude but this agent which I do not know any of their names was the worst. All I can describe her is that she was dark hair and dark skin.

I paid 105.00 dollars to travel with my pet puppy who we treat as a family member and not a piece of luggage.

If the airline cannot be pet friendly then maybe travellers should be aware of the cruelty on board that our pet will suffocate by not having enough air under a seat as we are not allowed to keep the pet safe even if the airplane is stable in the air.

When you are in the states and they mention pet friendly they are true to their word which no complaint. I hope Air Canada improves their support towards our pets as family members and true to their travellers.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and apology.
