I have been wanting to cancel MY FAMILY SHIELD insurance with MALAYAN. I had this auto-debited from my RCBC credit card. So first some time May of 2023 I had called RCBC about it and was only referred to YGC Customer service as they were the ones who contacted me before about this. So I did, after given a phone number. To which I was only told by John on the phone that I am unable to do so because I have to request my cancellation on the “birth month” of the contract which is April and I was already 1 month late. So I tried again this month, spoke to a FLOR who was rude and was just told to resend the request via email on a March 11. Which I did again, spoke to a Gigi who was also not helpful at all by not being proactive. I had to ask about why I can’t have it cancelled on the phone. It had to be via email. I asked for a confirmation about this she said they will reply in 2-3 days. But if I don’t, I’m to call next Monday which does not make sense because that’s 7 days from my request. This makes me feel neglected and scammed as a customer. As if they don’t want to cancel it due to their loss and just wants me to keep paying. All the more reason their service is upsetting because I have emailed them countless times and not a single response from the said email address it should be sent. There are even decommissioned emails that won’t go thru as per Gmail. Please I need assistance and want to file a complaint. All I want is not to be charged form the following month (April-supposed birth month of contract and onwards) that’s it. Thanks.

Claimed loss: ₱340 per month since last year April

Desired outcome: I just want it cancelled please and if they can refund me the amounts or portion of my monthly due to negligence of my frequent request to cancel since last year.
