This is such a ripoff and a scam...your credit card number is given to a third party when you shop online...so be always mindful of where you shop online and from which company.

I called the 800 #, spoke to a supervisor and was told that they will refund the two unauthorized charges of $19.95...

I believe they're a parent company for maybe a site that you signed up so they're charging for membership. I just got a charge and my bank told me to call them and ask for a refund. I called and theyare only open during the week day (too convient for my liking). So I canceled and I'm requsting a refund. I'm also going to call back during the wekk.

My father has been charged $19.95 twice monthly from his debit card a total of $39.90 for the past several months. $19.95 from WC FUNSOURCE MONT. and $19.95 from WC VALUE PLUS. He had no idea of where or what these charges were for. I accompanied my father to his bank to get more information and have these charges stopped.

What the bank has done is to cancel his debit card and account. We were able to re-open a new account so that these scam artists will no longer be able to withdraw from his account.

BEWARE of WC FUNSOURCE and WC VALUE PLUS.

Call the telephone number on your bank statement and raise "cain" they will tell you that you have bought something on the phone or on the internet and was offered and accepted a $25.00 "gift card" when I was told this I said I have NEVER received any gift card I was then told OH you have to "call" to get your card. Then they promptly replaced OVER $200.00 in my account. I want to find out how to STOP this company. It has come to the point that you can not order anything on the telpehone or internet with this company RIPPING YOU OFF and you find out months later.

My credit card was also charged $19.95. When I called them they said that a credit would be issued immediately. However, still nothing. I filed with my credit card company as unauthorized charge. In another area of Google it says that the company is located in Wheeling, West Virginia. I will write to the Attorney General of that state. I encourage others to do the same. Maybe, we could get them out of crooked business. Ray

I have been checking my moms bank account because of some recent activity and found that each month Value Plus and Fun Source have each been taking $19.95 a month out of her account for at least the last 4 months. I have also found a 3rd company called Center 4 Grants and they have been taking $39.95 a month out of her account for 3 months and maybe more. This is ridiculous, I can't believe these companies get away with this! The worse part is when you go on their websites right on the front page it says, "If you are receiving unknown charges from our company go" and then it gives you another website or a reason, neither of which are valid. The point is they are admitting that they are taking money from our accounts yet we didn't authorize it and it does not give us the information we need to stop it.
EVERYONE BEWARE DO NOT GO TO THE FOLLOWING WEBSITES:
Value Plus
Fun Source or Family Fun Source
Center 4 Grants

What Value Plus is doing is criminal in nature. If you order something online they appear to piggy back themselves to someone else's website and the consumer is caught off guard and in my case I have been charged $19.95 over several months with three credit cards in my posession. Let the buyer beware if they order online. After calling value plus I never did receive any compensation for their previous charges to my credit cards even though no further charges have occurred, but that is not to say that they will pick it back up if I'm ordering from some merchants website they are attached to. I don't believe the merchants are aware they are doing this. I believe we can put a stop to these people at value plus by either filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau from their national website or writing to the Attorney General's Office in the State of Minnesota, but one thing is for certain they must be stopped.

Our bank told us the charge was from a "Buy on TV" campaign. The company offered a $5 credit on the purchase, then I was directed to another website that used the info to start billing us for WC Value Plus.

I had a charge on my credit card, when I called their 800 number they just told me they were a membership service for numberous companies. I ended up hanging up on them really ticked and called my credit card company. Luckily I caught the charge while it was still pending, my company marked it as a fraud and I am recieving all new cards in the mail. Not sure where this came from but it is a fraud..

I called this number and got a reply right away. Now I'm waiting too to see if I get my money back.

It was funny, the lady seemed to know what was going on and immediately refunded the money and cancelled the membership.
That other number was 'down'.

This is a scam and these people give you the runaround, I have been trying to get a refund for 2 1/2yrs now for 2 fraudulent pseudo memberships that I never even heard of. They claims they never get the form. I've had it sent 5 times. They finally claims to have credited $149 for one acct last mth but my bank has no record of it. The other form they claim they never received again, even though it was in the same envelope with the one they did refund. I was billed monthly charges for two different alleged memberships for many mths before I noticed it because I travel a lot and use my ATM Debit/Credit card for everything almost. So many companies use different billing names on your statement that its hard to always identify where a charge is coming from so a 19.95 charge did not signal a red flag untill the same 2 charges several months in a row.

To whomever posted the comment about Michael Murphy...thank you! I've been getting charged 20.00/mo, and I couldn't figure out who "WC Value Plus or Homeplay V" was. I didn't even bother trying to get ahold of the company (courtesy of another comment on this site), I just went straight to him and he refunded my money right back. Call him if you have a problem - [protected]

I too have been ripped off by WC Value Plus and Homeplay. I have received a refund, but I'm not satisfied because they were never authorized to take money out of my bank account. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General/Department of Justice, am going to file a police report, and have spoken with a DA about a class action lawsuit to seek punitive damages against these thieves. Need at least 200 people for a class action lawsuit. Are there 200 people out here that would join in against Value Plus so we can get these folks criminally punished for bank fraud and theft? Like I told them at Customer Service...would it be O.K. with you if I stole your car, but gave it back when I got caught? Theft is theft and these people need to be stopped. Please reply so that we can fight back. And if you haven't done so yet, file complaints with your State's Attorney General, police reports, Better Business Bureau and local media. Let's shut these people down!

I just realized the Value Plus-V WC has been deducting $16.95 per month from my account for a little over a year. My fault I haven't kept a closer eye on my account, but this is still FRAUD and THEFT. I called the 800 number associated with the entry and got "membership services". After the conversation became a little heated "Norma" told me they are only a "cancellation service" and she cannot authorize any refund of money. She will send me a form to fill out and send in to request a refund! Reckon how long I'll have to wait for that! "Norma" also cannot help me with contacting Value-Plus. Oh, by the way, she did say they have many different customers that they do "cancellation service" for -- how many of they rip-offs are out there. I will certainly be checking my account closely each month from now on!

This company fraudulently took money from my account, and thankfully I noticed it immediately. I specifically told the salesman "no." The way to get your money back is to write a letter to the company notifying them of your complaint, your desire to cancel & demand your money back - send it certified mail. Send it to the company responsible for WC Value Plus:

Provell
1100 Wayzata Blvd
Suite 680
Minneapolis, MN 55305

Also send a copy of the letter to the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota & North Dakota [protected]). Their address is:

2706 Gannon Rd
Saint Paul, MN 55116

The director of consumer affairs at Provell/WC Value Plus is Michael J. Murphy. He will probably send a letter back saying that you placed an order & provided "electronic signature authorization" (which is a lie), but they will refund your money.

You can also send a copy of your complaint to the Federal Trade Commission at:

https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup

The FTC cannot get your money back, so it is still important to send letters to Provell & the BBB. But the FTC needs to be notified about these fraudulent business practices.

Add me to the list too! I knew when I received the high pressure phone call that I should have just hung up. How did they get my AmX card number? I called the [protected] and was told the membership was cancelled... we will see. I cancelled my AmX card too, just to be safe after reading all these complaints.

Good luck !

There are too many people who want something for nothing and then when they are offered something they feel having to fill out a couple of forms to receive their "promised" gift card, it is too much for them. You have to fill out a form just about anything in life. It's not any different and what is the big deal when you only paid a $1.00 for it to begin with. What kind of benefits do you think you are going to get for that $1.00 charge? And sometimes you pay nothing. It also takes a listening ear to hear what the telemarketers or distribution partners are offering you; also ask a lot of questions and get names, ID/badge numbers, phone numbers, websites, location, etc. You may have to do a little work too. Think about it. And furthermore, there is always a processing time for any form of rebate, etc.

Hah, so samika your saying that they randomly picked a credit card, randomly picked an address and randomly your name and it came out to be true? hmm I doubt it. Apparently you did give out your information and your the one at fault for not taking more precaution. I feel sorry for your ignorance...

I just got charged 14.95 from those Value Plus people. and i called them and the dumb girl on the phone said I supposedly authorized them to charge that amount so i could get "value" coupons and savings. But I told her I never give out my CC number on the phone... I dont even pick up my phone when its a unknown 800 number. And it gets better... I told her well she should check out the web sites saying they are scams. She was really unprofessional and stuttered " well people are just saying that because they're rude". In the end she claims to be sending me a "form" that will cancel FUTURE charges! I'm like I DID NOT JOIN SOME COUPON club! I dont even use coupons!

Can someone please explain to me who the heck these people are?
