Waste Management [WM] Recycle trash collection

I am complaining about the very haphazardly way the driver that does the collection of the recycle bins for our neighborhood at Springlake villas in Tamarac located on the corner of Nob Hill and Southgate. the bins are just dropped wherever be it on the other neighbor's property or falls into the street. Also, some have said that trash has remained into the bin. This has only happened recently as we are assuming it may be a different driver as this has not happened before.

Waste Management [WM] Attempted to cancel dumpster service

Our company has been a customer of Waste Management since the late 1990s, we have always had a 2 yard dumpster. In the beginning of our service we had a weekly dump, then over the years as we began to downsize, we went to a twice a month dump, then over the five plus years our bills continued to rise $10.00 to $20.00 a month, with no explanation. Our last signed contract was on March 15, 2016, which they never honored our contract as our fees continued to increase monthly. We had a 60 month contract at the March 15, 2016 date, which has finished. We never received any communication letting us know we were up for renewal, so we just assumed due to rising gas prices they no longer did contracts. Then in May we received an invoice with an increase of $120.00, no warning, no explanation, so I called and spoke with a gentleman named James, and explained that we needed to do something about our service. James had indicated that we technically did not have a contract and we agreed that we are already paying four times the amount over the last several years, so he took us to a one time a month dump and lowered our bill a couple hundred dollars. Then our bill started to go up again, so we called today 11/11/22 to terminate our service and was strong armed into staying, I spoke with a man named Charles that offered to lower our bill to $100.00 a month with two dumps, which we couldn't understand how that was possible, but we told him we wanted to cancel and what did we need to do, this conversation was hostile. We were sent three forms one was three options, #1 continue to honor our agreement, which we were told we no longer had, #2 we could terminate and pay $1,928.06 per section 7, or #3 negotiate a new and mutually beneficial agreement. We are obviously stunned by the handling of our account and at this point would be willing to pay the $1,928.06 and have their dumpster removed to no longer have contact with such underhanded business practices. How does a company say they have you locked in to an agreement, which they do not honor themselves? Over 24 years with a company and they are treating us this poorly leaves us speechless.

Desired outcome: We would like to terminate service and no longer be associated with Waste Management, our conversation was this morning and I am still shook up over how we were treated.

Waste Management [WM] Weekly 40Gal Traash Servece (Lack of Service actually)

WM has FAILED to pick up my trash since Oct 20th, failed on 10/27, 11/3, 11/10 (Service PAID in Full), New providence Rd, GA 30004. I've called in four times and get BS responses & excuses (can obstructed, unsafe condition). I have Picture that show it's not the case. It seems that a lot of the WM receptacles on my Street are having the same issue, I guess they are good at taking the Money, but not the trash. Hint if you slow down below 45 MPH, you can make the pickups, just saw a truck pass by at that rate of speed.. Competitor services seems to pick up fine, but are not accepting additional customers.. If you live in GA don't use WM... make my 5th Call to them to demand my money back..

Desired outcome: Pickup up my trash, credit for the missed service dates, and want a letter I can take to the City Council, why you should still be a service provider for our community.

Waste Management [WM] Trash Pick Up Service

11/09/22, 11/2/22,10/26/22, 10/19/22, 10/5/22

I am a new customer to Waste Management at my new address as of 10/01/22. They have missed 5 weeks of the 6 I have been a customer. Every week I file a missed pick up and am assured the trash will be picked up. Most times it does not get picked up. Last week I spoke to a customer service manager, trash was picked up the next day with the assurance that he would talk to the driver.This week, another missed pickup! More frustrating is that the website show the exact time the trash was supposedly picked up.

What is happening to this company? I will need a refund for the quarter before I can find a new service company.

Desired outcome: Please pick up the trash on the day it is supposed to be picked up without a false time and date claiming it already happened

Waste Management [WM] Trash pickup Hebron Woods Shepherdsville, KY 40165

Our scheduled pick up date is Friday.

We had no service week of 10/17 - 10/23 should have been picked up 10/21

We had no service week of 10/21 - 10/30 should have been picked up 10/28

Garbage was picked up 10/31 after cans set out from 10/27 Thursday evening to Monday morning 10/31.

Garbage was not picked up Friday, 11/4 (Third Friday in a row of not picking up on scheduled day)

I texted the WM chat and was advised I could track pick up and it said 11/7/22. I hauled the garbage back down. Saturday was very windy and people that left the garbage out since Thursday evening had some of their cans tipped over. Then to top it off the workers showed up at 7:30 am on SUNDAY 11/6/22 not Monday, 11/7/22 as stated on my WM account and missed my can. I want my can picked up today 11/7/22 as was promised and I want to know what our scheduled date is supposed to be. Is it Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday? You've been jacking us around for three weeks.

Desired outcome: Refund for days trash not picked up and trash picked up on 11/7 as stated on my account Friday, 11/4. I was not the only one back here that missed the garbage being pick up on Sunday 11/6.

Waste Management [WM] My green trash was not picked up.

Your driver doesn't always pick up my green trash. Once, at least every other month, he forgets to pick up my green trash, and I have to call Waste Management so that he does; sometimes I have to wait more than 1 day for him to pick it up.

This time, for instance, he did not pick it up on Friday, I called spoke with Sarah, who told me that we would come back and pick it up but he never came back.

At this point I don't know if he does it on purpose or what but it is not right. So I would appreciate that some action takes place. Best regards,

Waste Management [WM] Surprise bill with no response to why

I used online service with Waste Management on 2 September 2022 to rent a 30 yard dumpster for 7 days with pickup expected on 3 October. My card was charged that same day for 532.81 reflecting the 7 day rental. When the dumpster wasn't picked up 3 October I called (5 October) and was routed to a service person who tried to tell me I would be charged for the additional days. I stated I'd rented for 7 days only per the online order. He finally said I wouldn't be charged and assured me of pickup the next day, Thursday. The dumpster wasn't picked up until Friday, 7 October.

Now I receive a bill that states the initial charge has been adjusted for a total of $544.14. Not sure why that is different than what online quoted and charged. But of greater concern is the fuel/environmental charge of $296.67, regulatory cost recovery charge of $30.25, and administrative charge of $8.50. I called 24 October and was routed to an account manager who told me she would send out an email requesting assistance and that if I didn't get a response to reply all. I did get a guy that day who emailed to ask what my questions were. I emailed him right away. On 26 October I emailed him and the account manager to ask is a reply was coming. Today is 31 October and no response.

The website states up-front pricing and no hidden fees with honest expertise. I don't know how the terminology lingo they used applies to my rental. I would like to know what they are expecting more money for. It leaves a bad feeling that they throw an invoice at me expecting an additional $346.75 and can't be professional enough to tell me how I supposedly incurred that cost! I feel they are gouging me and without the courtesy of a reply, how can I feel anything else?

Desired outcome: I would like a full explanation, in wording that is understandable to a person not in waste management, as to how my rental of the dumpster merits this additional charge.

My garbage and yard refuse is missed too many times and I call and agent said we will be out same day(10/27) in the am. No show and I called (10/27) 4:30pm and again no show. I called Friday in the am and agent said they would pick up on Friday am and again no show and I called again Friday PM and again she said tickets was still in system and probably Saturday and kinda snickered! Still no pickup and I asked to have a supervisor to come out but no show. I need help and my garbage is stacking up in my garage. I understand I live on a half road but I paid my tax and expect proper service. Thanks for your help.

Waste Management [WM] Bin Repair

The wheel on the bin fell off the first time it was emptied. I put it back on, but the following week, it came off and I couldn’t find it. I think it fell in the garbage truck when the can was emptied. I put in a service repair three weeks ago and was given a date for it to be serviced. Nope! I called last week to ask when it will be fixed/replaced and was told October 21, 2020 (today). At 4:00 pm, I called to confirm, since it had not been repaired/replaced. The rep said it is on track to be serviced today. NOPE!

Desired outcome: Repair or replace my trash can!!!!!!!!!!!

Waste Management [WM] Neighborhood waste management

One of the waste management people left our trash container leaning on the cactus plant by hour house. After I pulled the trash bin off the cactus I didn't realize it had small splinters in the handle, and so when I grabbed the handle I ended up having cactus splinters all over my hand. I'm not from NV or a place that ever has cactus. Please tell your workers not to leave bins leaning or in cactus. I've spent the last 2 hours pulling tiny splinters from out of my hand.

Desired outcome: I'd like an apology I guess or just that they won't do that again

Waste Management [WM] Cancelation charges

On 10/4 canceled my service and WM has charged me $129.21. And no this is not for my service too. Reason to cancel was they regularly upped my cost. This started in the beginning of Covid when they reduce my service from two days to one. The did reduce my cost by 10%. I believe it went from $37 to $34. That cost lasted a little while. In the past year my cost went from $37.92 to $51.60 for one day a week. When I finally got tired of the price change (with no notice) I decide to cancel (BTW..new service is $20 a quarter for one day a week) Now they are charging me $129.21 to pick up the trash cans. Specifically, $75 Residential Removal, $22.10 Fuel/Environmental Charge, 19.42 Environmental charge, 4.19 Regulatory Cost, 8.50 Admin charge. Oh...and the trash cans are still in front of my house.

On a second note, they charged me twice for last months service.

Desired outcome: I should not be charged to cancel a service that randomly has almost doubled in a year. I need a refund of my double bill.

Waste Management [WM] Harassment

WM makes it nearly impossible to cancel service. You can't cancel on the website, you can't cancel via email - you have to call them, but the wait times are outrageous and they pass you around to different people, make you wait more, and then try to bully you into keeping the service.

I was on hold for nearly 2 hours before I was finally able to cancel my service, near the end of the billing cycle (6/22/22). I then removed my payment info from their website because I didn't trust that they wouldn't continue to charge me. They picked up their bin the following week, and dumped its contents out of the street in front of my driveway. A few weeks later WM started sent me overdue invoice for the next billing cycle (due 7/5/22). They called, they emailed, and now they they are sending me letters with overdue charges and threatening collections company.

Desired outcome: I'd like WM to stop harassing me to pay for service period that occurred after I cancelled service.

Waste Management [WM] Extreme overcharge after I just singed a 1 year contract!

I recently signed a 1 year contract with waste management for $76 per month. I asked them several times if that was all the fees and they assured me it was. 2 months into the contract I get a bill for $182. They claim my dumpster was overfull. The times for pickup were 20 days apart as its normally 14 or so, so it may have been a little overfull. But to charge well over double is a joke! This company has terrible terrible reviews and I see why, they are crooks! This company is so bad and untrustworthy don't even want then on my property.

Waste Management [WM] We want the service canceled and the payment in the rears for no service gone

I was with Advance disposal and they sold out to Waste Mangement, we do not want to deal with waste management had a bad experience with them in the pass. Called to cancel our service but they refuse to cancel it. We have called to cancel, sent letters and they act like they don't see them or care. They send a bill that they are increasing their rates and if we pay it we agree to the increase so I wrote on them do not agree. So now they call we are in the rears. they have charged us for 2 months now and have not even come to our place. The dumpster has been wired shut so nobody can put anything in it for 2 months with a sign on it to take it and we have seen any truck on our cameras that they have come but yet they charge us and now say we are in the rears. They claim they have a contract that they bought from Advance disposal we have requested a copy which they have not send. We do not recall signing any contract. Have other dates, name of people we spoke with, and times.

We ordered a yard waste bin from Waste Mangement over 2 months ago. Each week they advised that the bin would be delivered on Monday and to put out the yard waste in paper bags for pick up. Waste Management [WM] Targeting/Harassments & Discrimination by WM

I am writing out of concern for ongoing targeting of our household by Waste Management (WM). My family and I recently moved in the home owned by my sister 18469 Greenlawn Detroit Mi 48221. We have received several notices regarding the yard (excessive weeds and plant growth). However, we have both spoking to our neighbor who yard the weeds/tree branches is originating from to no avail as well as the City of Detroit regarding this matter. So we recently cut down on the overage of weeds, small branches that is coming into our yard and placed them on the curb on the morning, as well as tree debris that was left from the storm a few weeks ago where a small/midsize tree fell into our yard from our neighbors yard which was placed on the curb on October 5, 2022 (Wednesday) despite cutting the tree into the smallest portion possible the same day in the afternoon we received a collection notice informing us that the yard waste was to large. (This was more than appropriate to do) My concern is that less than 24 hours later October 6, 2022, we received a second notice from the same truck #. However, after noticing that I did not see another ticket on our neighbor’s yard. I spoke to 3 neighbors on the block who also have "yard waste" some with larger piles than ours and they did confirm not receiving a second/another notice. We did remove all waste from our yard. However, WM did come back out today this morning 10/7/2022 down our block which I stayed in the window this time and no further tickets was written again to our neighbors regarding to the "yard waste". The notices were written by truck # 364075. So, I called WM and spoke to Nick Z. who came across as rude and incorporative at I stated my concern. However, I did ask what protocol for WM was to come out a write collection notice and Nick stated "typically it would be your next pick-up day so weekly" at that time I informed him that WM had been out 3 days in a row. I stated my concerns and asked for his name so that I could keep it for my records he refused to provide his name (other than Nick and finally stated his last initial was Z. I stated I wanted to file a complaint/concern and asked if he had a employee ID #, he stated he could not provide that information. I asked for a name of a supervisor with a number or email to contact. Nick stated" he did not have or know of a supervisor name he could provide but stated there is a Route supervisor and Operations supervisor. I asked for the telephone/email address of either. He stated again there was no name or number he could provide. I re-iterated back to him what he stated. So, Nick you are telling me you do not have a last name, phone number, email address or employee ID that you can provide to me. You are also stating that there is no name, number, employee Id or email address that you can provide to me for a supervisor. There is no email address or phone number that I can file a formal complaint with. He stated yes and stated the only thing he was able to do was take down some information to file and someone would contact me in 24 to 48 business hours. I attempted to provide him with the truck # on the tickets he refused to take down that information. As of now I am totally unsatisfied with this outcome with WM. There needs to be an sufficient amount of time given between notices to correct WM concerns as I am a critical care registered nurse I may not be able to get back out in the yard the same day due to shortages in staff) However, I will make sure that all debris & "yard waste is removed timely (especially as Nick stated by the next weekly trash day).

Desired outcome: Provided a name of supervisor with a phone # an email address to contact from WM. I would like a sufficient amount of time to correct any concerns by WM concerning "yard waste" etc. Equal treatment for all neighbors to be provided.

Waste Management [WM] WM final invoice

Waste Management is a very DISHONEST company. I have been a WM client for a 2 yard dumpster on my property for 15 years. I have always paid on time. I had a renewed two year contract that I made a few years ago for a certain payment each time I had the dumpster dumped. Then out of the blue they more than double their fees... I called an account manager and spoke with Cory. He was rude and unprofessional when I inquired about the increased fee being applied to my account without my knowledge. He said my contract ended over a year ago. So I found another company that is literally a quarter of their price monthly of only having my dumpster dumped twice -- and they dump every Thursday. They are a godsend!

I then received a final invoice from WM for $460 for a single dump and to remove it from my property! Cory did not mention anything about any removal fees, etc. ]The truck gas price was ridiculous! It was a smaller truck that hauled it off and they charged over a $153 for gas! Really?! AND they charged me $215 for a recovery charge AND $16 for removal. They are literal crooks! That is literally high-way robbery!

I have emailed WM twice regarding their unethical invoice and have not received a reply. WM is a horrible company!

Desired outcome: To have the removal invoice adjusted to be the normal dump fee that I have been paying.

The service is great. But the truck leaked oil alllll along the steet with huge spills at each stop!

What a mess and the company will not *will not* clean up the mess!

Waste Management [WM] Residential trash bill

I had every 3 months payment service with Waste Management for several months, but when they went up on my bill for the 9/1/22 starting service period I cancelled service with them. My last trash pick up was on 8/30/22. I paid my last 3 months of service in full at the beginning of the 6/1/22 service period. But they sent me another bill for $7.89 anyway. I don't owe them anything, I cancelled service correctly and I was paid up totally but they wanted more. I called them on 9/26/22 and after literally almost 10 minutes of automated mazes to go through their automated system hung up on me. I called them back, and after the almost 10 minutes of automated system to get to a line on hold, they kept me on hold for 30 minuets never answering so I hung up and called back and selected the option for them to call me back. About 30 minutes later they called back, and I explained the situation, and asked the male representative to remove the charge, but without saying anything else to me after I explained the situation he put me on hold for 20 more minutes. I rightfully hung up. They can take me to court over $7 if they want to, but I will never pay this because it is not an authentic charge and it should be removed.

Desired outcome: Remove the extra charge. It is not an authentic charge.
