Family Dollar - Store associates

I am utilizing this platform to file a formal complaint regarding the horrible service I received at store #09093.

On 05/24/2023, at approximately 3:40 p.m., I was at the store making a small purchase of a loaf of bread, a soda, and 2 cigars. When I left the store I realized that I had been given the wrong cigars. Upon my return to the store, the associate, a Black female, with short red hair (didn't get her name), became very combative with me in regards to the return. At this point, I just asked for my debit card to be credited and I could go elsewhere for the cigars. Another associate, Sabrin (name on her badge), came forth and indicated that she would handle my return. The first associate kept speaking rudely to me regarding my purchase, even implying that the cigars were going to kill me, and stated that I didn't ever have to patronize the store again. I asked Sabrin for the store manager's information, she indicated to me that the information was on my receipt. At that point, I indicated to Sabrin that I would like to return everything I had purchased, and that I would get the other items out of my car. When I returned inside, Sabrin indicated to me that I would have to take my purchases to another Family Dollar store for my return because she refused to reverse the transaction. I ended up having to endure the unprofessional behavior from the first, associate who continued to belittle me before the entire store of patrons, even putting on a performance and singing.

I have witnessed the unprofessional and inappropriate behavior of associates at this store before, however, I have never had it directed towards me. I am so disappointed and upset by the way that I was treated in this store and will probably never shop there again.

I have attached a copy of my "Return" receipt. The same unprofessional associate was the one who finally processed my return.

Desired outcome: I desire better customer service. Store Associates should treat customers with common courtesy and not be rude to them for the entertainment of onlookers.
