Monthly rate:$373, ($84/month rate increase)
Current in-store rate for a 10 x 15: $255-298
Online rate 10x15: $155-193
When talking to management about this increase was told that the rates are based on market values, and they make more money a new customers, and raise the rate to get you to move out. I feel like this is discriminatory and nonsensical as I have been a long time customer since 2019. The money that they are charging me is clearly well above and over what they would be making off of a new customer. The rates that they’re quoting me are well above market value and what they would be giving to a new customer, so I feel it is unfair treatment l. It is discriminatory to be charging me a valued, loyal customer significantly over market rate, and what they would be giving to a new customer for the recording “affluent “ location.
I am still pending resolution of this matter, and would like it to be resolved ASAP. Resolution thinking is a nominal increase if any specifically less than $20/month with no additional increases for the next 12 months.
Additionally, like to been informed of this upfront, that this particular location in this company will charge you rate increases a few times a year. If I had known this upfront, I would have went with another company such as U-Haul whose rates are lower, and do not charge, who do not regularly change the rate a few times a year, and who do not have significant increases when there are increases. You all also has units that are more accessible and plenty of parking on the outside. Moreover, this building at this location is difficult to access on the outside with minimal parking and directly off of the interstate and very busy area and dangerous to get into an out of. Also the building is like a maze on the inside. Not ideal for storing large amounts of items. Very difficult to access and there’s a lot of twist and turns in the building going up and down elevators, etc. With minimal parking in space outside. It’s almost necessary to have movers to get your items in or out, which is another expense and point of dissatisfaction
Very disappointed in this company.
Desired outcome: No rate increase, or < $10 a month, with no additional increases for the next 12 months.If you would like me to move out, provide me a credit of a $300-500+ for movers, and a month without charge, and I will be happy to.
