Boscov's Department Store

I went to Boscov's at 1067 W Baltimore Pike, Media PA [protected]. My receipt information is as follows: 247855 1/05/22 14:33 Store 60 REG 2171 Trans 16031
I told the cashier that I was using my gift certificate and the balance on my debit. She charged everything ($57) to my debit card. She then took my gift card and put it into her drawer. I think she cut it. I called customer service at the store asked for the store Manager. The assistant that answered relayed the situation to the Manager and I was then told to just bring the receipt in. I live in Philadelphia and this is a huge inconvenience. Can this be rectified another way? Can my account get credited?
I would appreciate a response asap.
