I'm choosing to write this report as a help to homeowners. Wonder Windows is not a trustworthy company to do business with. I ordered two double-hung windows back in November, 2022 and paid 50% of the cost as the deposit. The salesperson told me they would be installed in February, 2023. I noticed they had to send out workers to measure the windows two more times after the first measurement taken by the salesperson - one time in December and the next one in February 2023. I asked if they lost the measurements. "No" as they replied. But who knows? The last measurement was taken in February - that was the month I was promised for the installment of the windows.
I only got courtesy updates from a front-desk person until April stating they were still waiting for the windows to arrive and expected to have them installed soon. I was busy with work and let the whole thing slide. Never heard anything from the company in May or June. Finally I called in to complain at the end of June and demanded a partial refund. I had to haggle with them very hard. They finally agreed to give me $500 back for all the wait and inconvenience I had to go through. They said the windows would be installed in July. I thought that was the end of the trouble with this company.
The worker came on July 27, installed the windows and brought the wrong invoice that didn't reflect the $500 refund on the balance. I refused to pay. Had to work through the billing department to get that corrected. I went ahead and paid the balance. However, I regretted that I paid too soon before I checked the condition of the windows installed as I was too busy with work that day. When I finally had the chance to check on the windows, I couldn't believe what I saw - the window frame was full of scuff marks and scratches from the installment. I tried to wipe them off and that wouldn't do. I called the company and demanded them to send out the worker to fix it. The quality control person in charge texted a message stating she would schedule the worker to come back yesterday. But he never showed up. I called in to inquire two hours later, and the front desk person didn't see that appointment in the book in front of him. Left a voicemail for the quality-control person again. She only texted back later saying the worker ran into some issue with a job that day and couldn't come. No apologies made. She texted that she would reschedule and send a different person to take care of the problem this morning at 9 a.m. And he never showed up either! Meanwhile, I had to reschedule my work around these two appointments two days in a row. The frustration and inconveniences I have had with this company shoot through the roof!
This is a company that has serious management problems and extremely poor customer service. They probably prefer doing big business deals with contractors. If you are a small homeowner, stay far, far away from this company!
