The Salvation Army USA - soup kitchen

On monday october 21, 2019 when I entered the soup kitchen counter the chef that works there (majorie) started yelling at me for no apparent reason over an argument that she had with several other patrons over not following rules. Her being a caucasion used what appeared to me to be a racial slur by refering to me (an african american) as you people. I advised her that she was very rude and disrespectful. If she had an issue with me she should of taken me to the side and spoke with me in a calm manner in a private setting.

This chef is very rude and has had issues with other patrons as well. Sometimes when people come inside the soup kitchen and tell her they are allergic to something not to put it on their plate she will tell them I already made the plate as if to say take it or leave it when she could have easily told them to let the person in back of them take the plate and she'll make them a new one. Many people have left there hungry because she has either put pork on their plate when she was told they don't eat pork or just because of her attitude towards the people entering the facility.

I did speak to major jose guzman (jose. Guzman@use. Salvationarmy.org), who is in charge of that location about the incident. He has spoken with her in the past concerning her behavior. She was calm for about a month but went back to her rude behavior. People who come to these type of locations (soup kitchens) shouldn't be looked down upon, stereo typed or treated disrespectfully. She is not fit to pe in a position where she has to deal with the public. She doesn't have the patience for the job.

Your attention to this matter will be greatly appreciated. You have my permission to identify me by name as the person making this complaint.
