I dropped my goldendoodle off this morning Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 8:30 am at the Huntington Station, NY location asking for two snacks, dinner (2 cans of dog food) and an exit bath. I was then informed that my pet's hair was longer than 2 inches (not true) and that would not be administered. I then asked the person to see if grooming had time to bathe Sammy, I was told they did at 1:30 and he would be caged and if let out to play would become soiled. This is true, I decided to nix the cleaning letting him play, enjoy the day with his friends which is the reason I send Sammy..
I am upset that the person at the admitting desk did'nt take the time to look at the hair length but just abruptly relate that headquarters rules against exit baths with pets that have hair longer than 2". How could this person know without attempting to examine the hair.
I'm asking for the Petsmart headquarters to look into this situation and to have customer relations to be a bit more sympatheticin addressing pet parents. May I add that I have been a loyal customer for the past 6 years.
