Date of incident, 10/25, 26, 27, 2023.
I, Elisha Whitaker, took my vehicle to Mr Tire located at 320 Greenville Blvd., Greenville, NC. A diagnostic test was performed on by truck and it was determined that my truck needed an alternator. The alternator was replaced but I was still experiencing the same problem with my truck. Three attempts were done on all the above dates for an alternator to be replaced. After three attempts the problem was not fixed. I was told by Roy Hamilton, who stated he was the Shop Manager that since Mr Tire could not get the problem resolved that I could go to a Chevrolet Service Department and have my alternator replaced and I could bring back the third alternator that Mr Tire had put on my truck, and I would be refunded my money back. After the alternator was replaced by Phelps Chevrolet, I returned with the third alternator that Mr Tire had put on my truck and was told that I needed to talk with the Store Manager, Temias Gavin. I talked with Mr. Gavin to explain what had transpired during the last three days regarding the alternator replacements. Mr. Gavin stated that he not been informed of the situation, but it would take six weeks for me to receive my money back. I left Mr Tire but went back the same day because I wanted verification that the third alternator had been returned and was told by Mr. Gavin that the third alternator was mine and I would not be receiving any money back.
Claimed loss: Total price of alternator replacement $661.52.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund because the alternator did not work on my truck, and an apology because I feel like I had been misconceived by Roy Hamilton.
