Mavis Discount Tire - Slow service

9/25/22

Today I stopped into my local Mavis store due to that I discovered my driver's headlights was out the prior night. I knew other places were not opened, as it was a Sunday. I went into the store around 11:15am, and it did take them awhile to help me out. Also they tried to sell me wiper blades. I kindly reminded them I ws just here a few weeks ago and hey replaced them. Once I told them what I needed they had stated I could have their headlight bulb because they didn't need it. I kindly explained that it probably would not work because I know my car has some specific bulbs. After telling them that it was my driver's low beam headlight they showed me a bulb in the computer and asked me if that was the one. As me being the customer I said it looks as if it could be. For one, I shouldn't have to tell them my bulb is if they are ordering at the local AutoZone. So I thought everything was fine and me daughter and I waited patiently in the wait room. Usually services take roughly 2-2.5hrs here. I started to get really irritated around the 2 hour mark. Another lady went up to the desk and asked about her car because it was taking awhile. They said oh your keys are already here. No one even let her know her car was ready and she was waiting the whole time. Another customer that I witness not being told about their vehicle too. I saw them pull a car up. It had been 30 mins. finally he got out of this seat and they said yes, it's ready. No one was being notified. So 3 hours into my wait, mind you this was a bulb change only, I asked about my car. They haven't even gotten to it. So I asked to take my car and come back another day. I was trying not to lose all of my patience. The man was like I will do it for you. So I waited another 10 minutes and then he comes in to tell me that they ordered the wrong bulb and that it would take another 10 minutes to get the correct bulb here. Well the AutoZone they use (I know where it is), it take 10 mins one way, not a round trip. I waited another hour before my car bulb was replaced, even though I wanted to leave. He was adamant about my bulb at that point. Then after my bulb was replaced, I watched as they called everyone about their car before checking me out. Then at checkout it took another 15 mins. I will never be back for minor things again. I just wish they would have told me that they were busy and there was a wait time. 4 hours and 15 mins at any shop for a bulb change is excessive. Also the women's bathroom lights did not work, there was no toilet paper regular paper towels. This was such a ridiculous amount of time to wait for such a small task. If they would have communicated that it would take over an hour I would have appreciated that. I could have always made a appointment later. I just wanted my headlight bulb to be replaced so I would not get stopped by cops and to keep my car road safe.

Desired outcome: I was not charged labor for my bulb, which was kind, but then again the Change only took 5 mins. I would like a free oil change or maybe a % off a service in the future.
