Menards - Customer service representative/employee

Hello,

Yesterday 10/3/23 around 12pm I went up to Menards with my boss's card to rent a Rugdoctor for 24hours for the company I work for. While I was there, the employee didn't quite know what she was doing but she got it done. After the transaction, she told me to pick a machine. I did that and left. I wasn't told a time to return the machine nor how to use it. I also wasn't aware of how to bring the machine back // if I needed to clean out the machine or not. Yesterday, my job gave the paperwork/ credit card back to my boss for reimbursement reasons, knowing that Menards would have everything on file. Today 10/4/2023 I walked into Menards and to the customer service station. Jeane was the woman at the counter. I told her I was there to return the Rugdoctor and she asked if I had the receipt. I told her no and called my boss to get that information. I had to call my boss three times due to information Jeane "needed". After that all went down, Jeane told me it was going to be an extra day charge because I arrived late (All I knew was around 12pm). Jeane was very rude to me. She started taking the machine tanks off telling me they weren't in as good of shape as when I got it (clean enough). I told her that I didn't get a clean machine and the other girl didn't even check it. She told me she was far from over dealing with me/the situation. She then tried to charge me another $40 but it had to be with a physical card. She told me she couldn't access the previous card/transaction from my boss's card. I had to call my boss again to get another worker with a card. After waiting for 10 minutes. A man named Benjamin whom I'm assuming is a manager walked up to me and resolved the issue. He told me my boss called and explained the situation. He dropped the extra charge and let me leave. I told him how rude Jeane was to me and he said he would try to fix that too. I am complaining because Jeane is the rudest employee I have ever encountered from a Menards. Very rude and unprofessional and needs to be reevaluated in her position.

Desired outcome: I want Jeane from Customer Service to be reevaluated for her position. If nothing else, I would like a coupon and an email acknowledging my complaint. My email is [protected]@hotmail.com

Menards - Unethical behavior, politically oriented

Went to my local Menards today to purchase a couple engine mufflers. After picking out my items, I went up to pay, but was informed by the clerk that I could not check out without a mask. If you are not protected and living in fear, then you should protect yourself. I myself am completely protected, having antibodies from covid, and am not sick in any way, and I do not live in fear of what your condition is. I do not harbor the disease due to my immunity and I present no danger to anyone else. I do not like being treated like a communist pawn of the government and in the future will not present myself in a Menards store for such treatment. This is not the way Americans choose to live, and because of this will not be shopping at Menards in the future. Yes, we do have other local alternatives that do not treat their shoppers in this way.

Desired outcome: No desired outcome.....strange???
