I was waiting to get some labs done, while in the waiting room with other patients, the lab staff loudly talked about a young Trans person in our local middle school. The staff said awful things about the child and about LGBT people in general. It was harmful, rude, and definitely not part of their job. The conversation they so loudly had included the phrases "it's all these weirdos, they have all the rights" and "people like that shouldn't be allowed in schools".
