7/8/2023: Ordered a large grocery delivery with the chosen time of 9-11pm. At 10:30 I received a curt email stating, "your order was cancelled the store is closed." Not even an apology. I needed the groceries so had to reorder from Albertsons and that order was delivered at the chosen time.
Since then I have been upset that the $53+ held deposit has not been removed from my account. Only one customer service representative apologized, wasn't able to lift the deposit but, at least, put a $15 credit on my account so that I could put some gas in my car. I am an 82-year-old single woman relying mainly on Social Security. This $53 amount on my debit card is causing me financial harm.
My point is this: In this technological age it is a mystery that a huge corporation cannot address this problem by: When YOU make a mistake, and YOU cancel an order, you need to find a way to cancel the deposit at the same time! I'm am still WAITING FOR MY MONEY.
Desired outcome: It is now over the 3-5 day period of holding my deposit. REFUND it now.
