We traveled to Augusta for the weekend. Our totoya camry 2008 ac belt had broken Sunday morning. Our car was tow to good year and a young mechanic had given us a quote on the price and etc. To cut the story short, he came out 2 hours later telling us the belt they had ordered was short and was waiting for someone to bring in another belt. Took another 2 hours and they drove our car to the front and informed us we were ready to go. We got in our vehicle and it our ac was blowing hot air. It wasn't doing that prior to the belt being broken. We notified them right away and they took another 2 hours looking at it. We then were told we needed to replace another part in the car bc that may be the reason why it's blowing hot air. He doesn't know, he was assuming at this point. We had already paid 1100, it was 8pm, we were tired and was ready to go home. The mechanic then said he will have his manager call first thing Monday morning. This was a week ago, going on 2 weeks, we have not gotten a call regarding the issue. Our car is now squeaky so we took it somewhere else as we do not trust good year at this point and was told the ac belt they replaced was bigger. If you have my car info and my car while doing your job, how can you still put the wrong part in? We had called multiple times today and still have not gotten through. I feel it was due to lack of experience and rushing as it was closing time. I want a refund for the ac belt bc we had to get it replace elsewhere and it had cost us more money. I do not recommend this place off on Maysfield Drive in Augusta. I'm sure their high ratings is only for oil change and tires, not for other technical issues in your car. We would appreciate a call back on how to fix this issue, also get a refund.
