CarMax - Customer service in Ontario

On April 30th I found a Purple Challenger online in New Mexico. I have been looking for a purple car for a while. I called New Mexico put the car on hold. Paid $249 for the car to be shipped. Once the car arrived in Ontario, CA May 21 2021. I got a text and went up to get the vehicle. Once I got there the p a car loan was not honored because they informed me that the Pre approval was not done right. I was Denied my auto loan. So I asked the person Bill who he said was a manager to add a cosigner which was my sister. He filled out her information and said her information was Denied also. I thought something was not right because me and my sister have good credit scores and my sisters is higher than mine 700. Late my sister informed me here credit was on a freeze. So needless to say the transaction was over. No one at car max let me see NOR test drive the car I paid to ship. I went back 5/22/21- John said I can test drive for 10min. The car I paid to shop. I had no time 10min is not enough time. Then I went back 5/22/21 to test drive a BMW. the sales guy told me I had 20 mint. So now I am PISSED. I went back to John and ask WHY I was only allowed 10 min to test drive the Car I had on hold for me. John responds was because it was busy. Not an excess I Had a hold on the car not only was I owed 20 mint. It states on the contract I could get a 24hour test drive. I think the customer services SUCKS and they do not car about the people. The manager said he had already sold his quota for the month so he was not concerned about my sale. I am a influence in the community and I will tell Everyone I know about the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE experience I experience with every salesman I came in contact with. No has reached out to make anything right. Maybe CarMax need retrain or hire more sales people. They lobby is Full every time I go and That is not a reason to turn people away or give people less than excellent customer service.

CarMax - Fraud and scam

Carmaz offered me 16, 000.00 positive equity for my paid off audi (which I purchased from them prior) I gladly accepted bc I needed a car cheaper pn car insuranc bc the audi was a luxury vehicle I was paying 650$ a month for insurnance. I found a ford focus that came out to 12, 994.00. They gave me a bank draft for the positive equity balance they owed me. A few months my car get repossessed! It's been 4 years and I am still dealing with their lies! I am filing fraud charges and identify theft for this mysterious loan they made up bc they sold me a car that wasn't paid off and had to cover it up

CarMax - Fraudulent contract, misrepresentation, wrongful repossession, intent to harm

Carmax has bought cars from customers never changing them into their name and causing the customer who sold the car to get lawsuits against them if the new owner does a hit and run. Carmax has manipulated contracts when they wrongfully reposed cars that were already paid off. Interest rates that are so ridicuoously high for people who have poor credit! Sales manager gabriel lies and tells you what you want to hear promising you will be helped with your issue, to then ignore you while his intention were never to help in the first place. Carmax must be held accountable for the mistakes and shady business practices ruining the lives of their own customers! Carmax will not destroy any more lives for greed!

CarMax - Lack of knowledge and customer service on a service repair

The people there get paid to know nothing about cars, they lie and scam you to thing otherwise, my fiance and I bought a car in august 0f 2010 and im writing this report on oct 22 2010, the lexus rx330 we bought from them has been in the shop twice and for the second visit its been there for 4 weeks cause they couldnt figure out a 1 hour fix that I the consumer had already told them about when I dropped off the car for repairs that was under warranty... Then all they can offer is $150 gift certificate towards future repairs when they had the car for a whole month and we've made a $538 monthly payment on the vehicle... They kept the car for a whole month not knowing the problem cause they think their mechanics are more knowledgable than the customer... Then when we complained they said we need to talk to corporate about how to handle the situation, if they can offer more than the $150... Then when I call corporate they say they can only offer what the service management at the store offers... So what they do is act stupid n make no sense and point the fingers at eachother and hide behind the phone, once they got you on a finance contract they dont care about you and they lie like theres no tomorrow... To make this 2 month story short, dont buy the extended warranty cause they sell it for too much and tell you that you can cancel it, then when u try to cancel it you cant cause they say you cant modify the car loan contract, 2nd take the car to the manufacture dealer they know the car inside out... I dont even thing carmax knows how to pump air in the tires right or even change the cars oil...
