The "new" straws that you have incorporated in response to the plastic straw ban, are horrible.
Sixty years ago, when there were no plastic straws we had paper straws.
The difference between those straws I had as as child, were coated in paraffin.
That thin coating of wax, prevented the straw from sticking to your lips pulling off skin, as does your wax free straw.
I don't know if any of you have actually tried any of your straws, but they are horrendous.
I am sure that the ladies and some men, won't enjoy having their lipstick stripped off by one of your un-coated paper straws.
When the sales people came to corporate with these straws, did they come with a paper sack filled with cash, that accidentally slid under the Buyer's desk?
It must have been something like that. It seems that the only product with an 80%+ gross margin would warrant a better straw.
You may be saving ten cents per thousand, but how many people won't come back to buy another?
That ten cent savings will soon be gone.
