I originally purchased the Serta sleeper couch online Monday July 24th order number [protected] for 1,052.00. I called later that evening to Wayfair and tried to cancel the order. A woman told me it had shipped but that if I call back the next day they could stop the shipment re-route it back to the warehouse. At no time on the website did it specify re-routing costs of 140.00 for this item. Only return policy still not mentioning price for shipping back but this wasn’t a return it was stopped mid way and they went ahead and sold the exact same item to someone else as the next day after they deducted the 140.00 from my credit card and had the item in hand they dropped the price of the couch online and it is now sold out. Employees even said I should have been given a one time courtesy waiver for the 140.00 fee but one rude supergirl after another said they could but they would not and that’s their final decision/ I called chase bank where the charge was placed and they even said this doesn’t fall under their rerun policies even if they specified amount because this was never received to my home nor did it reach the destination that calls the customer to schedule the delivery to the home. It was literally re-routed right back to Wayfair the same day. They credited my card minus deducting 140.00 for a “return” then I received the most ignorant emails claiming I wasn’t refunded the 140 because it wasn’t shipped back within 30 days. The customer service is just horrible -!/ I would never buy an item that costs 140.00 to stop shipment on or even to rerun when costco and sams club never treat their customers that way, not even Amazon.
Desired outcome: 140.00 retuned to me.
